Hahah, I know Illinois is an American state blaugh I learnt that in Geography. But I can't remember where in America it is. I mean, back in South Africa, we only have 5 provinces. And here in Australia they only have 5 states. Wait, I think it's 6. ******** don't care....

America is a massive continent. And they have 51 states, right? That's a hell of a lot lol

Plus, I'm too lazy to google it. It's so much more fun when someone explains it 3nodding
lol you have not changed exclaim we have 50 states and 2 provinces... You still want me too tell you where Illinois is??

50 states and 2 provinces? Which are the 2 provinces? Does that mean they have a different governmental system? Coz there's a major difference between a state and a province. confused

Lol....I know where it is now. Springfield is the capital of Illinois, right? I think so....that is if The Simpsons it accurate. And that means that Illinois is pretty much in Central North America (Don't know the proper name for the area).
Am I right? lol
Are you trying to pull my leg?? stare stare Well washington D.C is a province... My guess it means that they don't have enough people to become a stare ^^

Yeah Springfield is the capital exclaim yeah..

Well, a province you'll usually find in a Republic or a Democracy. A state is usually associated with Socialism or Communism.
Basically, in a republic, the provinces each has their own government, they can make their own laws, as long as they get permission from the federal government. But the federal government doesn't interfere much with the running of the provinces.
Whereas in a state-like situation, the state need to have everything approved by the federal government, which slows down decision-making. also, the states have to rely on a government budget to do what they need to do. Whereas in provinces, the government only takes a certain set percentage of the provinces' income.....so the province sets up it's own budget for the fiscal year.

Thanks for the map. I love the Simpsons...heheheh...it's so educational lol

Oh yeah....it's not about population. In South Africa, we have provinces....on of them only has about 500,000 people.
And here in Australia, Western Australia is a state, but it only has 1,3 million people.....the largest state in Australia, with the smallest population.
nice theory... i still think it is population..

Your Rising Sign is Aries

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

You're full of energy - and people look to you to get the party started.
Confident and honest, you'll be the one to say what everyone is thinking.

You are easily bored, and you always find unique ways to do things.
You don't just dream it, you do it. And that's why you're so successful.

Too intense for some, often times people are intimidated by you.
But you're usually smart enough to charm them anyway!

I guess it seems like me... but I don't think I'm intimidating. I mean I'm a tall, skinny, blonde, teenage girl with glasses. How scary is that?!
