He took a deep breath and grabbed as much of his things cramming them into his bag and threw it at her pointing to the window "Go NOW!" He wasn't about to argue and immediately turned and started packing the rest of their things "Meet me at path to head out from this town heading west. I'll get the horses and the rest of the stuff" He spoke quickly as he threw the things in the bag, some his and some hers and then shouldered the pack. He hadn't recognized the two guards so had a plan to sneak by as best he could. "if I don't come in an hour buy yourself a new horse and make a go for it." He undid one of the smaller belts at his side and tossed it to her, it would have enough to get her a new horse and take her to the next town, if not much else. After that he stepped out and locked the door and started down the hall towards the lobby. He recomposed himself, should they unexpectedly come around the corner.

He could barely make out the men's voices and didn't recognize either. They were inquiring about him and Nika, but the innkeep kept saying he didn't know a Nika. So they were describing the two persons in question to the keep. Eric used this opportunity to slip into the kitchen. The cook gave him a dark glare from his stove. "Afternoon sir." He smiled looking to the cook as if he'd come in to purposely talk to him. "I have some gold here that I'm in a bit of a hurry and would like to take some of the meat you made yesterday with me." He produced a few gold coins and the cook nodded "Indeed my good fellow" He went into the pantry and shuffled around coming back with a small parcel. "It'll cost ya only half of that." Eric nodded and took it handing the man all the coins "I thank you much, the other half is for the allowance to pass through unnoticed."
The cook paused curiously and then picked up the drift and nodded silently turning his back a simple nod in the direction out was his final 'word' as Eric took off with the parcel. He exited out a side door of the inn and made his way into the stables Whew, one part down, now to get the horses, I hope Nika is safe He thought as he peered around the corner of the in to the front to see 3 more men waiting on horses. He nodded and made his way back to the back of the inn and started going through yards quikly to getto the stables just a block or so down.

Eric made his way quickly though the streets and to the stable. He charged in finding the stable-boy. He produced a few coins and had him bring out his horses and threw the saddles on the two. "Thank you sire, now please, my friend's and mine's comings and goings need to be kept secret." He nodded sincerely to the younger boy and slid him a few extra coins. "Please" he implored. The boy, about his own age, nodded and ld him out the back door "Look, follow those rut there, those are the paths the night-buggies take. They'll lead you as silently as you can go to the West entrance of the city. Good luck my friend." He waved Eric off as Eric hopped on the horse and grabbed the reins of Nika's spurring them on to the West gate PLEASE let Nika be there. I will wait one hour for her before I head back into town. If she's caught I have to help her out. He decided as he rode.

Eric reached the gates and turned the horses just in time to see Nika charging up the street. He spurred them forward to meet her and flipped the reins to her as they met. "Let's move ASAP. Did one of them see you?" He saw a mark on her arm where the guy had grabbed her and his nails had left a few marks. "One of the guards or just someone else?" If it was a guard then he'd take the path back through to where it branched and cut across the town taking the south exit. Once that thought ran through his head "We're not going West, follow me" he spurred his horse back down the path he'd come.

"South" He yelled over his shoulder to her, just over the clattering of the hooves. "Once out of the city we can head wherever we need to go, but for now we just need to get out of here." Once he reached the branching path he turned his horse off sharply, nearly causing her to skid out and spurred her on faster. Once they reached the gates at the edge of town he allowed his horse to slow a bit "You ok back there?" He turned asking over his shoulder and saw behind her, but quite some distance back a single guard on his horse following after. "s**t we got one follower. Think we can take him out?" He was slowing his horse more to allow hers to catch up so they could make a quick decision "Or would you want to risk a splitting up and meeting back at the West entrance once we've lost our trails?"

He ran a plan through his head. "Look we can take him out and then keep going, I don't want to tire our horses and still have him or more of them o our trail." He reached into a pouch and pulled out some rope "Let's doubleback and head straight at him, once we get close enough I'll toss the rope and we'll take him off his horse. Once he's down you can go after his horse and I'll take him. That way we'll have the extra horse and no more trail?" He looked at her hoping his plan sounded good enough. He wasn't even sure it'd work but as he rode he readied the rope and loosened his dagger.
