Dear Journal,
Well, today I needed to clean the house before I went away for the weekend. So at first we were listening to NPR, which was broadcasting some classical piano competition. And then we switched over to some of Beethoven's string quartets for a while. And when that got a tad boring, I put in the opera, DeFlatermouse. Which is another favorite of mine. So it was a productive day of cleaning and listening to fun music. But sadly, I'm leaving for the weekend. Aria, of course, is coming with me. But it still won't be the same as being at home with her.

Dear Journal,
I'm very glad I brought Aria along for the weekend. Because today, when my friend and I woke up, there was a crack in her egg! I gave her an extra big morning hug, and apologized that there would be no opera today, because I was at my friend's house for the weekend.
A few days ago I enrolled her in her classes, and last night I got worried because the Magic class was supposed to begin, and Aria hadn't hatched yet. But I PMed the teacher, and not only was she really nice, but the class has been moved. For this, I am very thankful. I'd feel very bad if Aria missed her frist day of class!
Well, since I'm at my friend's house I guess I'm gunna get off her computer. I really did want to post the joy of Aria's egg, however. And maybe, if we're lucky, when we come home the fairy room will have been built!

Dear Journal,
Well, we're home from my friend's house now, and listening to some of Beethoven's string quartets. No day is complete without classical music. I also put Aria back in her little home. It doesn't have the fairy room yet, but I still think if she hatches soon and it's not there, she'll be very happy with what is there. 3nodding

Dear Journal,
Today has been a beautiful day. Not only did the fairy room get set up (and it's beautiful) but my dear, beloved Aria hatched. She's so cute and sweet. At first she was a little scared, but I talked to her, told her I loved her and that she was beautiful. And very soon she hopped over and sat in my lap. I just kept talking to her, and she looked all around. Finally, she got brave enough to explore her bedroom. So when she was doing that, I went and put on some classical music. She didn't really react, but she seemed happy. After poking at the lights, and teddy bear, she picked up the rubber duckie and wandered over to the fairy room. A little expression of glee crossed her face. It was so cute! She then handed the rubber duckie to me, as if asking to put it back in her bedroom, and went and picked up one of the ones that were in the room. I'm very glad I invested into having rubber duckies in every room. I may buy some more because she loves them so much. I've also noticed that her little nymph wings express a good deal of her feelings. And they make it very clear she's happy. She escpially liked the cherry tree in this room, and then hopped up onto the couch. She cuddled against the inscet plushie and feel asleep. It was simply so adorable. Especially when the little duckie fell out her arms while she slept. I love her so much!

Dear Journal,
eek Everything is moving so quickly! To my surprise, by dinner yesterday Aria was already talking. She was basically repeating what I was saying. But slowly I was able to teach her things like her name, and "duckie," and calling me "mama." "Please" still comes out like "tease" and "thank you" is more like "ank ou," but we're getting there xd
After that I let her play with markers and such. And although she did make this,
she also made a mess. So we have a little bath, which she seemed to enjoy quite a bit. It must be the duckies xd
And then it was off to bed, with, of course, more duckies.
Today she explored the rest of the house. Going through and picking up vocabulary very quickly. And by lunch, she was able to put together whole sentences! "This is a duckie, mama." She would say. I was so proud of her!
After lunch, she wanted to color more. And ended up doing this:
Apparently, I'm a pud with legs and long brown hair! heart
I think she is going to do very well in Art.
And she's getting more and more ready for school, because by dinner time. She was talking a good lot. "What is dinner, mama?" "Another bath tonight, mama?" "Where is duckie, mama?" It's just all so cute!

Dear Journal,
These last few days have been incredibly hectic in real life. I graduated on the 15th of June from high school, meaning that the days before (and even after) were more than insane. I tried to spend as much time as possible with Aria, but even then, it was far less than I wanted. The poor little pud spent a lot of time playing with duckies, and coloring, on her own. I feel really bad about this, especially since on the 21st, I leave for a six week internship in London! I have no idea how much computer time I'll have, so I went ahead and paid for seven weeks of vacation for her. Despite my worrying, she said she'd love to do it. I still wish I could leave her with a little bip friend or something. And I may ask Joey and Meriah to check in on her, so she doesn't get lonely...
Another matter than needs to be discussed is that of her music class. Apparently she needs something to play. I, at first, wanted piano. But that wasn't an option. Violin is popular among the other puds, so at first I was thinking about string thing. That's when I came across the Harp. I think when forums come back up, I'll post on the pud thread asking about that for her. If that's not an option either, Viola and Flute are my second and third choices respectively. Although piccolos are really cool... maybe that'll be my second choice instead. I let Aria flip through the book, but she liked everything! Which is why I guess I'm making the decisions...

Time before when I leave is getting shorter and shorter. But I am making sure I leave Aria with the most possible. I paid 1k for a custom instrument for her to play in music class. She's very excited about getting to play the harp! I also ordered all the drama items, and all the art items. And I reminded pip that I had paid for a custom bip a while ago. I'm really worried Aria will get bored on vaction, and I simply can't have that!

Dear Journal,
I ended up not only buying the art supplies, the drama supplies, and a custom instrument, but I bought an entire studio for Aria! Somewhere that she can paint, with lots and lots of natural light (three windows, lol). Another exciting event occured last night as the bip friend I ordered for her, Kupo, arrived to share the love. Aria seems to be very taken with the little moogle-like bip. Which makes me very happy, now I feel better about leaving her and not worrying about if she'll be lonely or not. I'm also thinking about ordering a kitchen and dinning room before I leave, but we'll see if I really have the gold for that...

Well, this may be the last entry for me and Aria for six weeks. Very sad, but unfortunately true. She went on vacation on saturday, and seems to be enjoying it, which is very good. She's also got stuff to paint with, and a BEAUTIFUL golden harp. I feel confident she'll do alright without me, but that doesn't stop me from already missing her...

Dear Journal,
Well, I got Aria back from vacation early. I have the time here, and I just missed her so much! Unfortunetly, I missed getting a pic of her in the child stage, as well as the pic of her on vacation. So the photo op post is a little incomplete. Oh well.
Today I took her around to explore the manor house where i'm staying. She espcially liked the clocktower:
even though it's broken, and only reads the correct time twice a day...
the main manor, is very large according to the small pud
and thought that the wing i live in, was much more manageable
and the archway into the courtyard of my wind, she adored
she ooohed and awed over many of the details on the inside
and most important of them, the little arched mini doors hiding magical staircases
And there are some magnifcant gardens here, that she didn't get to see yet because it was raining.
After this long adventure of a tour, she curled up with a rubber duckie and slept very soundly while I watched the news. I hope no one is worried about us, because we are fine. heart

Dear Journal,
Aria's been spending a lot more time coloring these days. I wish the art class would start up, although, we don't have a scanner here, so I can't share the improvements she's making. She's also been staying up late and spending hours looking at the stars from her treehouse. Because of that, I decided to buy an addition to her tree house. And, well... the two of us got really carried away. It was great fun tho. And she's very excited about and very much looking forward to a huge house to explore. I was also, kinda, hoping to get a little brother for her. But that's not going to work out, being that her type of pud will soon be discontinued! She said she felt rather good about being that unquie. But I could tell there was a little disapointment in her voice. Oh well, hopefully school won't die, so she'll be able to make lots of friends. And maybe, sometime, when Joey and I are both free, we can set up a playdate with Meriah!

Aria is looking for another room (or two) for her pud house.
But this time - she will open suggestions to all pud owners!

Dear Journal,
Goodness!!! Everything has been so busy and Aria and I have been having so much fun it got really hard to find the time to write.
We finished up our time in England but ever so sadly had to leave. Aria spent the last couple days just wandering out the manor house. And then we had the trip into London the day before we flew.
Aria still won't stop talking about the British Museum. We tried to see as much as possible there. We have a few postcards on our wall of things we saw there. But I'm too lazy at the moment to scan them in.
Then we had a week of debriefing where Aria spent loads of time in the pool while I was busy preparing and speaking. This made me very jealous. Too bad they don't make little pools for her little pud home...
After that was the crazy two weeks at home. My parents had soooo much for me to do, while my sisters all fawned over how beautiful Aria had grown up to be. Well, Sarah was more intersted in Kupo (the moogle bip of Aria's), but everyone did love her very much. This made things easier for me, because I knew she wouldn't feel unloved while I was so busy.
After what seemed like millions of notes were written, and various thousands of loose ends tied up. Aria and I packed my three suitcases for college. Lucky for Aria, her house was so small we were able to pack it into the carry on.
And we flew to the beautiful, beautiful, Land of Enchanment - New Mexico! It was more then enchanting just from the airplane... Aria was very excited because the sky is simply so massively huge here. We spent the first few days exploring the city (Santa Fe, where I'll be living for the next four years), and then that Thursday we made the big move into my dorm!
We gave Aria a very prominate spot in the room, and my prefect (RA) instantly fell in love with her. Aria says she liked it here, although she agrees that my "first year seminar" is boring. She says she liked my creative writing class a lot. So I asked her if she wanted to journal. She thought about it for a while, and then said "not today." Maybe she needs a few more classes until she's no longer scared...

Dear Journal,
Aria has proved herself to be very popular here at school. More popular than me, by far! She just flutters around talking to people all the time. My creative writing teacher, Matt Donovan, adores her! She rides around on his shoulders for the entire class period. It's so funny.
But she also spends a lot of time in her house with Kupo. The two have been up to something, but won't tell me what it is. This kinda worries me...
