Anakin was excited. He was a Jedi Padawan. He sat in a chair as a female jedi cut his hair, giving him the traditional braid. Once a month he was to return so it could be redone, until he learned to do it himself. Everything was a rush. Day after day he spend witrh Yoda and Mace Windu practicing lightsaber techniques and force manipulation. He was catching up to the others his age pretty quickly.

Qui-Gon was proud of Anakin and on the other side his last Padawan was doing just as great becoming a Jedi Knight. Then Qui-Gon walked into Anakin's room. "Anakin... Come with me..."

"Master Qui-Gon!" Anakin was happy to see his Master. They hadn't spent much time together, he had been busy with training and such. So this request was something he would take up. "Where are we going?" He asked bluntly as they left his room.

"Naboo. They are joining as one and they have asked if You me and Obi-Wan would come. I have talked to the Council about it and because of your hard work they think this would be good for you. Then when we get back you have a small test to see if your ready to go to Illum... but do not worry about it much."

"You mean the Gungans and the...people are actually becoming friends at least?" This pleased Anakin. He liked the Gungans, Jar Jar had always made him laugh. And Obi-Wan was going. That Jedi...he'd been even more scarce then Qui-Gon.

All three got onto a ship and headed to the Planet of Naboo.
"Anakin" Obi-Wan said "How is your Training coming alone?"

Anakin smiled at Obi-Wan. "It is going well. You should come by one day Obi-Wan, teach me a few things." Anakin got comfortable, knowing this would take them a while.

Obi-Wan looked at the young boy "Maybe I'll do that Anakin." He smiled at Anakin but couldn't think of what to say next.

"I'd like that." He settled back and thought about who would be at the celebration. Maybe he'd get to see Padme, would that be a good thing. They had only been apart for a short time, but already he missed her. And he didn't really understand it. Why did he miss her?

Anakin's eyes widened in suprise. "Love!? I...I I'm not thinking about anyone Master." Her stammered. Was that really love he was feeling? For Padme?
