Kai was a little confused as he wandered into the village. He stood on the cobbled path looking down...what he thought was supposed to be a lively street. The market stands brimming with items, the running fountains...the decorations...and yet...not a soul seemed to be about, there was nothing, absolutely nothing.

'What the hell is going on here...I could have sworn I had heard people' He thought to himself. He had, he was sure he heard people...maybe it wasn't such a good idea to just wander into this village after all, but he was a Genin of this village, he was supposed to stay here....

He looked around, the houses were in slight disrepair and the items on the market looked either decayed, rusted, dusty, or just plain dirty as if they were decades old, and not just one or two either, the fountain was still running clean water that was good, but what had happened to everyone? Where were they? There were no crows that he had expected the gentle "caw caw" sound from as he headed down the lonely street. He decided to test a theory.

"Hello!" He called out loudly. He raised an eyebrow...no reply...nothing, "Hello!" He tried again, but there was still no response...it was as if the village inhabitants had just suddenly disappeared. Having no one to adhere to he strode over to the fountain and looked into it, the water was crystal clear and he took a handful and sipped it. It tasted fine, there seemed to be no poisons inside it...so what had happened.

Why had the food, fruits, meats not degraded the same as the clothes...why did everything seem untouched by time and how long had this place been empty for, just what was the purpose. He had a lot of questions, and there was only one person who could answer...he would be happy with just a skeleton for an answer, at least he'd know what had happened then....

"Time to find the Kage..." He said and headed down the street.
