Sikulu grinned at Nkechi in arrogance, before he groaned as he watched Tambuzi practically make a scene off falling off the rock. "DAAAAD!" he whined, before being mentally scolded by his mother's look. Quickly, he rejoined his father on the ground, and looked up at Manoari in awe. "Ohmygosh... he's... he's HUGE!" he exclaimed, orange eyes wide.

A soft laugh escaped the queen's mouth as she watched her king tumble off the boulder. As they rejoined her, the heir's sudden outburst made her wide-eyed. "Sshh, Sikulu!" Mlinda said quietly, nudging her son to remind him not to make such rude comments. She looked back up to Nkechi and Noari, smiling. "It may be hard to believe, but our son is the heir to the Bahari'mtoto throne," she joked, looking down at Sikulu, who merely huffed.

Thankfully for Tambuzi's pride, Noari was not watching him carefully enough to notice the slip-up, so as the king approached, Noari had no amusement in his eyes, just guarded respect. "A pleasure to meet you," he said, inclining his head. "I'm Manoari."

When Sikulu spoke, the male couldn't help but flash a grin. "I suppose I am," he said, quirking a brow. "And you're tiny. But you know what? That's because you're a cub. I'm big because I was born in a far away pride, where lions are bigger and stronger than most other lions." There was no boasting in his voice, like there used to be. Noari had lost the pride he used to have at having been a Firekin.

"But who knows? Maybe you'll grow up to be even bigger than me and prove them wrong."

He grinned at the cub one more time before looking to Mlinda, offering her a small smile. "Cubs will be cubs. I'm sure he'll grow up to be a fine leader."

"Hello your magisty Tambuzi! And Sikulu!" Nkechi chimed cheerfully wearing a bright smile on her maw. Ohhhh wow~! She was meeting royalty! This was so amazing! But of course, Chi was quickly distracted by Sikulu's comment. She turned her gaze to Noari, and for perhaps the first time really took in just how big he really was. "Oh wow~! Are they really all that big, Noari?" she said in childish amazement as she looked at her dearest friend. She didn't recall him ever really telling her about where he came from.

Tamba could only shrug off his son's embarrassment, hoping it wouldn't scar him for life. He sidled closer to his mate, giving her an affectionate nuzzle that was a natural reflex by now.

"A pleasure to you also," he returned the polite nod to both of them, watching carefully as the large lion interacted with his son.

He seemed like a humble sort, but he could not cast the dark image of fierce large lions like this fellow from his mind since meeting Zizima and Ripuka. The lioness seemed harmless enough though, almost cub-like herself in her actions.

"How far have you travelled?" he asked them, remembering just how long he had wandered before bumping into Mlinda.

At Noari's compliment, Sikulu beamed proudly. Of course he'd be a great leader! "I'm Sikulu!" he chirped happily, tail swaying back and forth with excitement. Seeing these new lions was very exciting, indeed. Maybe they knew things he'd never known about before! The juvenile listened eagerly as the Firekin talked about his home. "Woooow.. are there big lions there? And the ocean? And palm trees and shells and stuff?" he asked.

As the king nuzzled her, Mlinda gave an affectionate purr, before looking down at their son bounce up and down with excitement. "Sikulu, perhaps you should put your questions away for later. I'm sure Manoari and Nkechi are tired from their long journey," she said softly, before giving him a nuzzle. "Now run along, dear." With that, the queen gave a nudge to the juvenile.

"Yes momma," Sikulu said obediently, before waving goodbye to the two with a paw, and bounding off to their family cave. Wait 'til the others heard about this!

Noari hoped that he hadn't crossed a line by speaking with the prince. It had been a long, long time since he had been in a pride and was rusty about the social etiquette. Mustering a friendly smile, he answered Tamba's question. "A long time," he said honestly. "We started our journey in the Pridelands, or, rather, the graveyard, which is Nkechi's homeland." He smiled down at the lioness fondly. "That's when we went to the Pridelands and stayed for a short while before traveling here."

The great lion paused before continuing, "I... well, we, really," he stumbled, not sure whether he should speak for his friend or not. "appreciate your welcome. I'm willing to do whatever is needed to help your pride. As your son said," he said with a slight grin, "I'm rather large, so if nothing else, I could guard the borders and such." He flicked his tail, loosening up a bit. These lions were friendly... there was no need to keep his defensive shield up.
