I've joined a semi-manaburn party in Boyhada against Steelshells (crabs). The setup was NIN, 4 BLMs, and one RDM. The NIN was there to pull and tank and take at least 60% of the damage, RDM dispelled, refreshed and cured, and the BLMs kept buffs up (priority Stoneskin & Blink) and nuked.
Throughout the whole time in the party, the only downtimes were when the NIN got aggroed and died and at least 2 blms were afk. We never got passed chain 5, but that's not a problem considering we were mostly getting 230+ xp on the first chain and up, without downtime.
I got around 39k xp in 7 hours, which was the most I've ever had in an xp session.
