The truth or not, not everyone will believe it. You see, some people blindly believe the strongest power for fear of their lives. Not many are willing to risk their lives for a "noble" cause, even though it is what should be. But by using propaganda, people can be swayed. See all those "Uncle sam wants you to join the army..." and "What will you tell your grandchildren?" etc. posters... This may sound harsh to say, but the masses are stupid and rather easily fooled. The truth will need to be given to them slowly. There will be uprisings, full fledged armys... mercanary groups... With peacefull introductions, all those who intend to inform others of the truth will be shot down in a second. I'm not exactly sure where I'm going with this, but I'm just saying what I believe will happen and how I believe things work socially... You can not scar ones honour or verility without them seeking revenge. I know that much from experience.

There will always be some who will resist all change. The fighting in Iraq is proof of that. The majority of the people there are pleased with their freedom, it's just those few who make every thing bad.

That is a major reason why we must always be able to defend ourselves.

To quote the sad truth as no one could say it but Heinlein,

Not directly quoted, but pretty much;

"Force my friends is violence, the supreme force from with all other force is derived. Naked force has solved more issues throughtout history than any other factor. The contrary opinion, that "violence never solves anything," is wishful thinking at it's worst, people who forget this always pay."

A sad truth.

So far that's all I've found here.

The only civilization I can think of that was "peaceful" to any extent was Korea before 1840. And Korea was raped and pillaged on an almost-yearly basis, mainly by Japanese and Chinese military using the peninsula as a vantage point for their respective armies.

Our ideas and intents must always be peaceful, even though our actions won't - and simply can't - always be that way.

This is true

Heehee...I could make a snarky comment about pushing a religion - Buddhism - as preferred, but I'm sure all but 3 million people in the world would consent.
