I saw Green Mile in school for RE. Its an 18. This was when I was 15. They did fast foreward through the bit when the guy got fried though. We could still see it, just a bit faster. Wasnt that bad.
I dont think you can adopt a kid til you are 21. It might be 21 for lorry/bus drivers too.

Erix Griffon and_solo_said Erix Griffon But... the only thing you can't do at 18 is teach someone to drive. Or stand for governtment, and there is still a 21 film certificateGovernment I'll grant you. But I have never heard of a 21 certificate. I've seen one of the most depraved, explicit, violent and perverted films imaginable, and it was an 18. (And I regret seeing it) As have I...They nevernuse it, but it still exists. The last time it was used was on the chainsaw massacre, but they declassified it since

Well regardless, you're still a legal adult at 18. That's the age at which you are utterly responsible for your own actions, and can bear the full penalty of law.

What film was that, out of interest? I believe there's a Japanese film which involves a lot of things being cut into pieces which really are best not being cut into pieces.
An you can't go to prison at 18. You need to be 21 for that.
By the way, you're allowed to drink at any age, only I think your parents have to know. You just cant buy it any younger. Only, of course, there are those wonderfully useful shops where they don't ask those awkward question which can be so inconvenient at time. There was a dodgy deli there would literally serve 8 year olds (I believe it's called "quality beers and wines"), only then they got into all the local papers so now they insist on fake ID.
