The title clearly says that they're asking about Pop'n Music, not DDR..retard.

Pop'n...it's probably best to actually buy the Japanese home versions and get an arcade style controller. It cuts down on the costs A LOT, and you get the benefit of playing in your own home. However, if it's for an arcade, then I'd suggest getting the latest...which I'm not quite sure what it is at the moment...Pop'n 11th is just getting released for home so...
The hardest song is also difficult to judge. Any song on Hyper EX in the 40s and higher is hard.

As I said before to the other idiot, the topic says Pop'n, NOT DDR. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!? Get your heads out of your asses and take a look at the other (BETTER than DDR) Bemani games such as Pop'n Music, IIDX, Drummania, or Guitarfreaks.

My friend ordered an ASC from Desktop arcade and didn't get it for many months, so he got annoyed and ordered a Ransai instead. Works pretty well, considering that he plays the s**t out of it.

Pop 'N Music is fun but I'm not really into it. Most of the music doesn't appeal to me and I consider the concept kind of pointless.
