He pulled back and looked at the ground. He wanted to wipe her tears away, but decided against it. She probably didn't want to be touched, he took a deep breath "I guess I owe you an apology then. That probably shouldn't have happened, aaaand you're probably out of my league. Besides, you aren't the idiot...I am." He turned back towards her and made his way to the bar door slowly, "You should have known better Reno... She is way out of your league, Elena was out of your league...tch, Rikku was out of your league, just give up, you're a business man, that's all. Not a romancer."

Tifa stared at Reno wide-eyed and shocked as the tears just streamed down her face. She walked behind the bar and sat down, "Reno if you're leaving will you lock the door and put the closed sign up on your way out? I really don't feel like doing business today.." Tifa made herself a strong drink and pounded it, and proceeded to the pinball machine. She pulled the handle and went downstairs.

"Tifa, before you go..." He walked over to her and grabbed her wrist, not hard mind you, but enough to get her to stop. Guilt had swept over him, and he pulled her into an apologetic hug. "I didn't mean to make you cry, believe me. A girl as attractive as you, shouldn't cry, it's rather heartbreaking to be honest." He rubbed her back some with a welcoming smile hoping he was helping.

"Thanks Reno, I'm just bummed out. Business has been slow. And I haven't seen anyone except you in the last few days.." (more like months! ha!) Tifa smiled and sat back down at the bar some what settled, "I just don't know whats going to happen. I've been waiting to hear from Cloud or Aerith or someone. And I haven't gotten a call or a letter or anything. My worst thoughts are getting the best of me. I don't want to close down the bar. But I'm at the point where I just want to go off looking for everyone." Tifa made herself a martini, "I mean I'm so worried I've started drinking! Look at me! This is horrible. I don't know what to do anymore." Tifa looked at the drink and threw it at the wall. The glass shattered into tiny pieces and glimmered in the light.

"There'll be others..." He sighed, There is others Reno thought to himself. "On a lighter note, no one around and we've both learned some new tricks since the we were enemies wanna spar?" Reno smirked as his eyes met hers, sweet, kind, but at the same time had a kind of mischief about them.

"Are you challenging me??" Tifa giggled, "Alright, well you better think fast!!" Tifa ran towards Reno at lightning speed, back flipped and landed in front of Reno ready to fight.
