I think you're allowed to ask for clarification, as in "What did you mean by X?" You just can't ask things like "OMGWTF WERE YOU SMOKING YOU'RE STUPID I AM TEH BEST COLORIST!!oneeleventyonebbq" (exaggeration, I know) or try to defend yourself as in "Well, that isn't my best sample" or "My other pictures aren't like that" or "I was tired at the time..."
Edit: That's of course assuming the person who gave you that comment/rating wants to come out and admit it.

Well i figured if i asked something the person could just edit that comment, they don't have to post a reply, you know? I just wanted to know why someone gave me a 7.5 when they commented saying they liked my art, showing no sign of why it gets a 7.5 o_O, doesn't really help me, you know? XD

I see my issue is shadding.. can someone make a tutorial on how to shade? I'm using a finger and a trackpad to color T.T. dun have a mouse of tablet ><
