also, unintentional poet. quit being a biased d***.. if bassists want to use a pick to play. let them. it's a different way to playing. i.e. the same thing as slap bass. slap wasn't around at the beginning, as the same as pick.
also, i know a load of pick players that could probably rip you apart as bassist. -_-

please also note:
that was 5 months ago. I respect the choice to use a pick if needed, it's the method to get a sound. i myself now use a pick from time to time. Slap also.
and also, don't anyone judge another bassist's playing. i doubt anybody here has really heard enough of anyone else's in order to be in a position to judge. i'm a compitent bass player, but you don't hear me being a braggart about it. if you know excellent bassists, more power to them.
lastly, people, stop flaming. stop cursing. i'm going to delete any more bulletins that pick on people with anything more than friendly sarcasm. Anybody who keeps doing it, is going to have to answer to me and the othe mods. This is a place for friendly discussion, not warfare.
