I remember that. It was halarious, I thought it was good.

I always have a lot of fun when cosplaying, and I love to watch the the cosplay competition.

Glad you enjoyed it. ^^

Hopefully people will find this year's just as amusing... (zomg a comedy skit in the advanced category--that hardly ever happens. xd ) of course that's only assuming we get our butts in gear; none of us have our costumes even close to done yet, and the skit needs a lot more work too.

I love cosplay too; it's so much fun... except for the last-minute day-before-the-con sewing binges. I'm so glad that they've gotten video feed into the room where the rest of us have to wait for our turn to get on stage so we can watch the whole cosplay.

Yeah, that was funny when they announced the winners. The other guys in our group were stunned. I agree that it's nice that they got us a video feed. We'll have fun again this year even if the skit isn't what we planned and we opt for secondary costumes. Either way. The goal is to have fun.

It would not entirely surprise me if on the video you could hear me yell 'What?' when the announcement was made we won intermediate. I was sitting right in front of the camera, since by the time we were done, they'd already run out of actual seats. As usual.

And just think, since we're in the advanced category now, that means even less seating for when we finish. xd

Yeah... the thought crossed my mind. Oh well, half of us won't be able to sit anyway.

lol, true. I guess the good news there is that there won't be too many people after us either.

User ImageUser ImageThe first time I cosplayed? Oh goodness, that would have to be Sasuke in like 7th grade... @.@
I don't have any pictures of that on this computer... I do have Tenten, my second cosplay. I threw it together in like three days, cut up old hand towels to make stripes, and used tape for the shuriken holder. But the best worst part is that it was held together entirely by safety pins. I cut up the pink shirt and safety pinned the stripes on it... >.>

My third was Ishida and that, didn't go too well either >.> as you can see. It may not look that bad at first, but if you look closely you can see the details.
This one was held together by hot glue. One step up from safety pins, but still not the same as sewing.
There ya have it. They both suck, but I laugh at them xD

For first attempts, they're honestly not that bad. My first cosplay attempt was atrocious (not including earlier ones I got help from my mother-in-law on). I've long since burned all pictures of it. xd I made Aeris from FF 7, Vincent for my husband, and a chocobo for my oldest son who was about 6 mo. at the time. The only thing good that came out of those costumes was Vincent's claw/arm thing, which was made out of electrical tape and old 2-liter coke bottles--surprisingly this didn't look too bad.
