Maybe cause it's too popular. That's the reason why a lot of people don't like Naruto.

I also heard some people complain that it's always the same thing over and over.

They fight Naraku.
They're in danger.
Kagome screams and manages to hit something with her arrow.
Inuyasha & Kikyo meet up.
Inyuyasha & Kagome fight.
They make up.

And... I guesss the story does kinda go like that. >_<

It's maturaity for people like myself. As pretty art, hordes of fan service, and random silliness just doesn't do anything for me anymore.

I grew out of it because the story is just so lackluster and yes it is rather long for no good reason. Believe me I can handle long stories however they have to be GOOD stories. Inuyasha lacks that and the character development was just too slow or even non-exist. (The manga doesn't make up for it either which is odd since most of the time the manga does add more substance to the material)

Also yeah the fans kind of annoyed me cause even if the series was deeper than it was all some of the "hardcore" fans made me not want to admit I enjoyed watching it. (Same with Yaoi series)

so in a nutshell: The story didn't appeal to my needs and the art just wasn't that great.

Yeah, it does repeat the same stuff over and over again. The thing that really threw me is that they didn't finish it until now. They have finally decided to finish the series.

Inuyasha has a total of 167 episodes and I think 2 or 3 movies! -A- Unless they make a second part of the story...
