Who the crap is this, and just what the hell makes him think that he's Captain America!? My money's on Bucky, what with the use of gun and all -- plus Bucky stole Cap's shield right out from under Tony Stark. And the shoulder-stars match motif with Bucky's cybernetic arm. Oh, and he's basically the main character of Captain America these days. I'd say it's a good 94% shot. We'll just have to see how this works out... being as New Cap doesn't debut 'til January. ninja

Oh, right. The comic thread. Rayne: It likely won't have any, but it's still a good read. Okay, I know people keep telling me that "he was in Rome", or whatever, but I look at this picture of Ray Stevenson as The Punisher and I can't help but think he looks like Steven Seagal. Is it just a bad photo? I miss Thomas Jane. He got Frank. Still, I suppose I should keep an open mind. ninja

Will Eisner is dead. Frank Miller, while crazy, is also main-stream famous now and studios love names. We can only hope that his personal friendship with the late, great Eisner will prevent him from turning The Spirit into an ultraviolent, testosterone-fueled ********... not to say Sin City was bad -- I loved it -- but that's not The Spirit. The Spirit is quirky, and I've never seen any evidence that Frank Miller is even aware such a feeling exists.
Speed Racer looks severely awesome, though. The Wachowskis are taking it about as seriously as it needs to be taken. ninja

well...
really a lot of the women in the spirit are kind of dubious... but th book is really way wackier than anything Millar is involved with.

Roundtable Now I'm excited for Speed Racer.... though to be honest it looks like there's a decent amount of hokey factor in that trailer. Precisely! It has to be hokey! It's Speed Racer! I can't imagine somebody trying to make a straight-faced film out of that franchise. ninja
