Meh, I don't know why Regents scare everybody. I didn't study at all in my 4 years in high school and I got more then 80 on all of my regents.

Regents are okay, for me, at least. I like it when I'm tested on what I know in one big manifestation of multiple choice questions, and an essay or two along with it. What I mean is, I like to be hit with it all at once like that. In Global History 11R, I had straight D's from first to fourth quarter because I never did my homework, but on the Regents exam, I scored a 98. I'm just lazy as hell, is all.

I think regents were more of a pain in the butt for me. I HATE staying in one spot for long periods of time, so.. sitting in a chair for three hours doesn't make me happy XD

I really never had trouble with any regents exam, I passed them all with flying colors and managed to get finished with enough for the Advanced Diploma in junior year.

I do have two "horror stories"

In sophomore year, I went to take the Chemistry exam. I KNEW Chemistry. I had a high average in it(I think it was 97, I don't exactly remember)

but I blanked out on the exam. For a half hour, I COULDN'T do any questions. I was sure I was going to fail and ruin my summer. I was going to Europe! I couldn't stick around for tutoriing and crap like that. Eventually I calmed myself down and was able to finish the exam.

I cried and cried the entire day, thinking I failed. My Chemistry teacher saw me and tried to calm me down.

Later that day, I got a call from the school(and I thought I failed, because they always call if you fail O_O) but my teacher had called to tell me I passed.

Also in my sophomore year, I was taking the Global History exam. It was a very hot day, and I am very sensitive to the heat. On my last essay, I started to feel faint and I KNEW I was going to pass out unless I got into some AC fast. So I rushed my last essay, didn't check over my work(I know I skipped a question here or there) and flagged a teacher down. I told them if I didn't get out of that room then and there, they would have to carry me to the nurse. They asked me if I finished my test(never mind asking if I'm ok o_O) and I said I did and gave them my test and was rushed to the nurse's office and given a bottle of water. My mom took me home and I wound up leaving a half hour before the test ended.

When my report card came, I got a 91. I couldn't stop laughing.

Thank God I'm done with regents exams and SATs and things like that

I never took chem for the fear of failing it due to so many kids in my school do.

I slept through 90% of my regents courses... Chem especially... 1st thing in the morning with a teacher who had this irritatingly monotone voice... I swear it was like taking tranquilizors...

But when Regents time rolled arround, and I chose to {again} sleep instead of study, I managed to pass the exam with... a 96 I believe... I'd have to dig through my parents piles of crap from my school days to find the reportcard with the actual score... Which I am faarr too lazy to do at the moment...

I was always one of the first done on those tests... never took me any longer then an hour and a half, except on the English 11 test, but that was still a walk in the park... So I'd be stuck sitting there for ever, cause they wouldn't let you leave for what, something like two or three hours after the test begain...

And sitting in a gym packed with 86 kids {luckily it was a small school, but that ment a small gym} in June is no fun at all, as I'm sure you're all aware...

>.<

I'm in my senior year and luckily do not have to take any at all this year, but I must say, I really didn't find them to be all that bad. The only two I didn't take were the Math B and Chemistry. I heard Math B is horrible. They never really killed me...at all.

So far I've taken the Biology, Earth Science, Math A, Spanish and Global History regents. I didn't study for Bio or Earth Science, (ES was my first regents in 8th grade, and surprisingly I passed) and the others weren't so bad. Now I'm a Junior, and this year I will be taking the English (in about 6 or so weeks, actually. xD) U.S. history, and Math B. The only regents' I haven't taken and won't take are Chem and Physics, since I don't have to. xD
