You probably shouldnt invest in stuff just yet. Try to build up your gold by buying and re-selling some of the cheaper donation items that sell fast such as the tiaras or the swords.

Buy them on the exchange for 500g to 1K cheaper than the vend price, then sell them on the vend.

I started by buying donation Items, I belive I first bought the august donation Item, or the september, which ever one is the whip of ice, and sold that for 12500
