I quite liked the english dub. I loved Sephiroth's voice, it was Darcia from Wolf's Rain if anyone has seen it. I over all thought it was a beautiful movie and I liked it in both english and japanese.

i think the overall movie (the storyline thingy) was a let down...i was expecting something a bit more...i dunno...it just semed like there was something missing...

So, there's a comment about this movie that I keep forgetting to make:
Reno and Rude were like the best thing ever in this. heart
@mikaela18 - Advent Children is the FFVII movie that is set after the end of the game.

I think Kadaj was my favorite character. Gotta love the crazies. heart

I got the 2 disc special edition the other night for $9 at WalMart.

I thought Sephiroth's voice was dead on the guy sounded awesome. Vincent...a complete and utter let down his voice was to deep for his character I thought. Cloud sounded good to me. In fact most of the voices were pretty good to me english version only a couple of ones I didn't think matched them.
As for the storyline...eh, it was alright but not great. The action was freakin awesome and Reno was too cool for words. However, the storyline just seemed...I don't know mundain? There wasn't much meat to it you got the gist then they rush you threw to the butt kicking parts and then it's over! And man was Cloud seriously emo. stare
Now the animation story that predates the game now that was GOOD!!!
