Lucy slumped into the back seat of the car and looked out the window wanting to avoid eye contact. "Lucy you look a little flushed. Are you alright?" said Julie concerned Lucy's eye's darted to her aunt. "yes, of course I'm fine," relplied Lucy rudely. "Steve honey, could you please slow down, I know your in a hurry but we don't want to be in an accident," said Julie clutching onto her seat tightly. "yeah, yeah I know, but I'm already running late" said Steve a little annoyed. "Jeeze Julie why don't you just chill out, Steve knows what he's doing," said Lucy calmly with a smirk creeping across her face. No one said anything the rest of the way home. Steve drove up the steep driveway turning into a house situated onto of a small hill. Lucy rolled her eyes and under her breath said "great".

Lucy entered the house and looked around. It was small but cozy. Julie led Lucy up into her bedroom. She sat down thinking about what she could do. They had passed by a town, it wasn't far and she could easily walk down the block to the bus stop. It looked like they were shooting some movie. Lucy had nothing better to do so she decided to check out the town tomorrow.
The next day Lucy woke up feeling tired. She slipped on a pair of old jeans and a t-shirt, but Lucy had to return to her room to change because Aunt Julie wouldn't allow her to leave the house like that. She slipped on a flowing white skirt and a matching shirt her Aunt had bought earlier for her stay. She looked at herself in the mirror. Lucy didn't look like a gangly, dirty teenager anymore but more mature and beautiful. She went downstairs to get some breakfast. "Now don't you look beautiful. Always wearing those horrid jeans. Good thing I've bought new clothes for you. Steve look." "Huh? Beautiful, yes." "Well I'm going into town. Bye" "Bye honey. Remember not to stay out too long."
Lucy walked to the bus stop, she even caught some guys checking her out. Lucy didn't care thought. She thought it was stupid for girls to act different just because a boy was around. She wasn't intrested in dating.
Lucy got off the bus and looked around. There were cameras and people everywhere. They definitly were shooting a movie. Lucy turned around and caught site of the guy she met earlier. All of a sudden her phone rang. She took it out but it wasn't hers. It was one of those new sidekicks something she couldn't afford but something she would steal. Lucy picked it up anyways. She was hoping it was the owner so she could return it to him/her. Lucy was on prohibation and didn't want to get into anymore trouble. "Hello. Who is this speaking?" "I should ask you this question." "Oh yeah, I really didn't take your phone. Look, where do you live? Maybe I could mail it to you?" "It's okay, it's okay. That won't be needed. Turn around." "I must have picked it up when I bumped into you. Sorry." Lucy felt herself blushing. It was the same guy she bumped into at the airport. Does he still remember me? Probaly doesn't. He looks like an actor. Oh gosh, I wonder if he did see me staring at him. Calm down Lucy, it's just a guy. You've never felt this nervous in front of a guy before. Your always comfortable with them but why not now? "That's alright. I'm sure you didn't take it purposely. Let me introduce myself. My name is Hayden Christensen and your name is? "Lucy Cradle" "Nice to meet you Lucy Cradle." "I don't mean to be forward but would you like to hang around the set for a bit?" "Sure, I have nothing else to do in this small town." "Come on. I'll show you around." There was a loud commotion at the other side of the set. "When are we going to shoot. We haven't shot anything yet and I'm sweating like a dog. You know what I don't have to take this. My agent called and told me about another casting. Find yourself another actress because this one quits." "Wait, don't be so foolish. This is a great oppurtunity! Do you know how many girls tried out?" "I don't care. I'm leaving" She walked pass Lucy and Hayden and waited at the corner until a limbo drove by to pick her up. She slammed the door and the car drove away. "What are we going to do. How can we find an actress on such short notice. If we wait for the back up, it'll at least take a day. We'll be wasting so much money!" "Maybe we can drop by the local highschool. I'm sure they have a drama club." said Lucy. "Great idea and you are?" "She's a friend of mine." Hayden cut in. "You know what. You look just the role. Even better than that last one. Can you act?" "I don't know. I've been in a couple of school plays but that's it." "No time to chat. Dress her and put some makeup on her. She's perfect, we can start rolling in 5 minutes." "Lucy stepped out of the dressing room her face feeling heavier because of the makeup." Hayden standing on set looked at Lucy. His eyes looking up and down at Lucy. Lucy felt herself blushing. How am I going to do this?

Oh man, why does he keep looking at me? Does he NOT know that I'm WAY too old for him? Oh god oh god say something you idiot "So... Err. What is this thing about anyway?" "Oh... Well I'm... Not really sure myself either. You see my manger just told me yesterday that there was this offer for me and told me to come here for screen testing? said Hayden. Lucy started to feel uneasy. What the hell have I got myself into? "Don't worry, you'll be fine, screen test are easy," said Hayden "It’s not that. It’s this whole "thing". Sorry it just sounds really dodgy. Aren't people usually given scripts before they commit themselves to a movie and also doesn't it take months of preparation before filming starts?" Hayden chuckled at this. "Wow you're a suspicious one aren't you." "Uh huh. You gotta problem with that?" Said Lucy coolly. "No. Not at all," said Hayden smiling. God what the hell does this guy want from me? thought Lucy. "So from you're accent I can tell your from Australia," said Hayden changing the subject. "Yep. Ever been there?" replied Lucy. "Yes a few times for interviews. I was on this show Rove Live a couple of times, around the time of the Star Wars films." "Ahh yeah I've heard of him. He's cool." "Yeah he seems like an okay guy. So what part of Australia are you from?" "Sydney, nowhere special. Pretty boring if anything and the people are complete jerks." "Oh..." Lucy smirked "Nah I guess its not that bad. There are worse places." Hayden was silent. No one said anything. Lucy though quietly to herself. After a minute Hayden broke the silence with yet another question. "So what brings you to America?" God what is with him and these questions? Can't he just let me be? Jesus I'm not the freaking interesting am I? "Oh. Parents wanted me to visit my aunt and uncle for a while." "Oh, that's nice." "I suppose so." Silence fell again. "Man this is boring. Mind if I just take off?" said Lucy frustrated. "Oh... What about the screen test?" said Hayden "Err look. Honestly I really can't act to save my life. Just take my advice and go to the local high school and grab some wannabee actress and be done with it." "Ahh you know it really isn't that simple you know." "So? Not my problem. Geeze you want me to do it. Cause I'm more than capable of doing it? Where's the director guy, dude, whatever?" "The Director is here," said a voice from the door way. "Right. Cool. Okay so, I'm not exactly the person you are looking for, but I reckon there's bound to be some wannabee actress in the local high school, just look there." Lucy walked out and began heading towards home. "Hey! Lucy, wait," yelled Hayden as he was running towards her, "You know you blowing a pretty big opportunity." "Yeah. Well did you ever think that maybe I didn't want to be forced into this stupid industry? Maybe I don't want freaking journos in my face 24/7. Maybe I don't want... Maybe I'm new here and getting involved in something this huge is not such a great idea," said Lucy. Hayden was quiet for a moment. She has a point and you know it. Don't push her he thought. "Right... Yeah... You're right. Thanks for giving my phone back. Listen I'm sorry I caused you trouble. Can I walk you home?" God seriously, how old does he think I am? Lucy heaved a sigh "sure why not." They arrived at Lucy's home. "Well here's my stop. My aunt will probably be wondering where I've got to," said Lucy. Hayden missed what she said as he was preoccupied with looking at the house. "Geeze it’s just a house you know, nothing special,” said Lucy "No it’s not that. What's you're aunts name?" asked Hayden? "Err Julie. Why?" Hayden shook his head "No reason." "Right. Well better be going inside. Catcha round. Maybe." Lucy walked up the driveway and Hayden walked off down the street with a puzzled look on his face. No way could it be her. Well I guess it explains why her niece is here. Geeze I wonder what she did to land herself in Julie's care. thought Hayden as he walk down the street.

ahhh the plot thickens. Oh I'm terribly sorry to do this but I won't be active for quite sometime as I'm back at school from tomorrow I really won't have time to go on gaia that often. So yeah that'll most likely be my last input to the story for now. However, will try to post something but I can't promise anything.
Cheers.

"Who was that?" asked Aunt Julie as Lucy walked in the door. "Some guy I met in town. Hayden Christensen or something, I think I heard his name from somewhere." Aunt Lucy gulped. What the hell is he doing here in this small town. "Yeah he was in a couple of movies." "Oh now I remember, that's why he was talking about Star Wars and interviews in Australia. What's wrong Aunt Julie? Why are you sweating so much?" "It's hot, I think I'll turn the AC on. " "Isn't it already on?" "Oh right. I'm acting silly, umm you should get to bed right?" "Yeah...goodnight Aunt Julie." "Night Lucy."
Lucy went upstairs and looked down at Aunt Lucy one last time. She looked worried. Aunt Julie's probaly worried about me walking home with a guy. Hopefully I won't have to endure another one of her lectures. At least there not as bad as dad's.
He can't be here, he can't. I'm losing my head. He could have landed me in hot water. Is he here to get revenge? What's he doing here. Aunt Julie walked over to the computer and looked Hayden up. She found out he was shooting a movie here. Isn't this great, what am I going to do now? The next morning Lucy woke up. She put on another outfit Aunt Julie bought for. The doorbell rang so she went downstairs to answer it.
"Hi" said Hayden. "Oh hey it's you." "I was wondering if I could take you around the set. Maybe help you rethink this offer?" "Oh I don't think so" "Lucy who are you talking to." Aunt Lucy walked to the door and froze. "Erm, hello Hayden." "Hello." said Hayen nervously. "What's going on? Did you guys know each other before?" No, Yes. said Hayden and Aunt Julie at the same time. "So umm, Lucy do you want to go?" "Uhh, sure, anything to get away from this awkward position."
Hayden led to Lucy t his car. They drove a block away and then Lucy spoke, breaking the uncomfortable silence. "What was that all about? Did you guys know each other before?" "It's nothing" "No it's not nothing, it's something and I know. Tell me she's my aunt" "So that's why your here." "What was that?" "Nothing." "Hayden tell me. I would have never gone with you if I knew you weren't going to tell me anything." "I umm, so your just using me?" "Yes. We barely know each other so it's nothing bad." "Look I really don't want to talk about it. Here we are." said Hayden before Lucy could fit in another protest. They walked onto the set and was greeted by the director. "Great your back. Is she going to do it?" "She--" "Is going to do it, if Hayden does one thing." "Great! Hayden do whatever it is and we can shoot in 10." "Wait but no" The director walked away to run another errand leaving Hayden and Lucy alone. "I want to know what happened between you and Aunt Julie!" "Okay, okay I'll tell you, but later when there's not too many people."
After a long day of acting, which Lucy didn't do half bad, she pulled Hayden to the side and asked him the same question again. "Okay let's get in the car. I know a place where we can talk." He drove down a dirt road and into a forest, then they walked to a clearing that looked up into the moon. "Now speak." "I was about 9 years old and I was living in this small town with my parents. They went out one time and your Aunt was babysitting me. It was a different house from what she's living in now. I was hungry so I went downstairs to get some food. Your Aunt started gulping down some pills and she saw me. She chased me around the house and tackled me to the floor. I don't think she knew what she was doing,...but I was so scared. She kept muttering to herself that she had enough, that she was going to get revenge. That it was all my father's fault that I was going to die tonight. I hadn't noticed it before but she had a knife in her hand. Just as she was about to...you know...I kicked her and ran out of the house. Then I went to a friend's house and stayed there fo the night." There was a silence for about 10 minutes until Lucy spoke. "That's impossible. Aunt Lucy would never do that." "It happened and I still remember it. Why do you think she acted that way when she saw me. I don't think she was fully herself but she did it." "I don't know what to say." "I know this is hard to get through but you said you wanted to know so..." "But you didn't even know her." "Yeah but she did say it was my father's fault, which I still wonder about." "It's getting late, do you want to go home?" "Heck no. Not with a maniac living there. She'll murder me in my sleep. But where will I stay." "I do have an extra bed at the hotel. If you want to..." "I couldn't, it wouldn't be right." "I'm not going to do anything." Hayden chuckeled. "It's just, your too young and I'm , it's just..." "I'm 25 and you?" "25 only? I thought you were younger than that. I thought you were 18. You look young." "How old are you?" "I'm 23, but I look much older." "Not in my eyes." "I uhh, umm, maybe we should get going."said Lucy walking quickly towards the car. "So is that a yes to the hotel?" said Hayden as he got in. "Umm.." "Still hesitating? Shall I repeat what happened? "Your right, okay I'll stay with you." "Okay then."
They arrived at the hotel and Lucy took a shower. She slipped into Hayden's PJ's which were too long for her. She got out of the bathroom and Hayden started laughing. "Erm..." "Just say it, I look like a little girl in her dad's clothes." "No you don't. I think it makes you look sexy." "Oh shutup." Lucy crawled into bed and soon fell asleep. A crack of thunder roared and Luy woke up screaming. Hayden woke up too, in the other bed, not because of the thunder but because of Lucy's screaming. "Get away from Lucy, I won't let you harm her." Hayden yelled. "Hayden I'm okay. I just woke up from the thunder." Hayden turned on the lamp and heaved a sign of relief. "Your scared of thunder." "...Nnnoo" "Seems like you are." said Hayden as he walked over to Lucy's bed and sat next to her. He put his arm over her and spoke again. "I won't let the thunder hurt little Lucy" said Hayden in a babyish mocking voice. "I'm not the only person scared of thunder. Your not scared because you sleep like a rock." Hayden chuckled again. "Stop laughing at me!" "Your just so easy to be with and I can't help enjoying myself." Lucy felt herself blushing again.

Sunlight peaked through the blinds of the hotel room. Lucy lay quietly on the bed tangled in Hayden PJ's and the sheets. It was an hour before Hayden came in the room and stirred Lucy awake. "What the hell?" said Lucy rather shocked waking up to Hayden in her face. "Come on it’s a lovely day, you should be out an about, besides I'm not needed at the set and I want to take you shopping and go exploring in this town," said Hayden enthusiastically. Lucy groaned at the thought of shopping. "Why would you want to go shopping?" Hayden looked saddened and Lucy sighed and gave into Hayden. "Fine we'll go exploring." "What about shopping?" Lucy rolled her eyes. "Fine that too." "Yay!" Hayden left the room and Lucy rolled out of bed regretting her decision to go shopping with Hayden, she would have rather stayed in the bed and slept for the rest of the day. The left the hotel 20 minutes later and headed into town. As they walked into the large shopping centre Lucy was astonished and wide eyed at the monstrosity of the mall. "Whoa, shopping centres here are so massive and bright." "Yep here is the place to get everything you would ever need or want," explained Hayden. "Ahh huh," replied Lucy looking around at all the stores. "So where do you want to go?" "Huh? Oh... Ahh. I don't know." "Hmm let’s start with some clothing. What brands are you into?" "Err. I don't know. I've never really been a [brands] kinda girl," said Lucy still looking around. "Okay... Hmm... Let’s see how about we start at Suprè," Said Hayden, dragging Lucy over. They ventured into the store. It was crowded, loud and bright. Lucy detached herself from Hayden's hand and wondered off the browse at some of the clothes that caught her eyes. She picked up a black top, examined it then thought better of it and put it back down. Lucy browsed around at all the cloths which were on display but none of them seemed to take her fancy so she went off to find Hayden. She found him wanting outside the store. "Nup, none of these clothes are particularly interesting" "Ahh okay then." Lucy looked around "Hey err do you have a Hot Topic anywhere in here?" "Err yeah I think so. I think it’s just up here somewhere." The two walked up the mall; they found it not to far away and walk inside. "Ahh yes now this is my kind of fashion," said Lucy happily. "Really? I saw the clothes you were wearing yesterday and thought different," said Hayden a little surprised. "Oh those were the clothes my aunt bought me. I only wore so I wouldn't insult her." "Ahh I see. Hey you just pick out anything you want and I'll pay," said Hayden smiling. "Oh. Really? Okay," said Lucy Lucy again broke off from Hayden and went in search of something interesting. Later Lucy came out with a pair of jeans, two shirts and a pair of flat sole shoes which were blue with white dots. "Wow man thanks... Are you sure you don't want to shop for you as well?" "No, I've got loads of clothes... Hey Err I know you don't really like those sort of clothes but could you let me buy you the same sort of clothes your aunt did?" Lucy groaned a little. "Why?" "Because you look great in them" Lucy thought for a moment, and then gave into Hayden once again. They went back to Suprè and Hayden picked out a strapless dress. Go on try it on. It'll look great on you. Lucy examined it. It was Blue, and stiff. Lucy sighed then went to try it on and came out to show Hayden. His jaw dropped instantly and stared at her wide eyed. "Stop looking at me like that," said Lucy but, then smiled a little. "I'm so getting that for you. Come on admit it you like and it goes with you shoes too." Oh man no way, he's right I do like it and I do like the thought of him drooling over me when I'm wearing it. ARGHH DAMN IT! "Okay, okay I'll let you get it," said Lucy giving up the thought of arguing with him. Hayden smiled. They walked out of the store and wondered off to seating bench. "You know I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been a massive crowed around us all day," said Lucy after a while of silence. "Yeah, only because everyone is so use to having celebrities coming in and out of this mall, no one really cares about it." "Oh I see. Must be a relief then." "Yeah it is. Hey err are you hungry? Because I am." "Yeah now that I think about it." The two wondered off into the food court area too order something. they sat down at a free table. "Hey you are welcome to spend another night with me you know," said Hayden. "Oh... Hmm... I probably shouldn't, but then again that stuff about what you said about my aunt kinda really scares me... Oh man what the heck, I think she's knows that I'm with you. I mean who else would I be with." Hayden smiled "Okay cool." "On one condition though. That you won't be a sleaze anymore." Hayden looked rather taken back by this remark, but then realised that he had been rather sleazy towards Lucy. "Okay yeah, I'll do that." After they'd finished lunch they decided to leave the mall. It was still bright and sunny outside. "Whoa, what time is it?" asked Lucy. "3.00pm," replied Hayden. "Seriously? Man back home I'd still be asleep at this time." Hayden chuckled. "Whoa you sleep a lot, don't you?" Lucy smiled "Yeah. So what'll we do now?" "Hmm. Ever been to Disneyland?" Lucy stared at Hayden suspiciously and Hayden began to laugh. "I'm kidding." "Yeah I was going to say. Disneyland's like ages from here isn't it?" "Yeah about three hours away. Why don't we go to the park, they're always pretty fun" Lucy paused for a moment. "What? I'm seriously not gonna try anything on you." "Yeah I know. It’s not that though. Look over there, its Julie. Oh jesus she's seen us."

"Hayden, Lucy what a surprise to meet you here" said Aunt Julie. "Yes a big surprise" said Lucy stepping closer to Hayden. "So is there anything you'd like to tell me Lucy? You didn't come home yesterday." eyeing her down with her beady hawklike eyes. "Yes, um...it was uh stormy and um...so we...had to get to shelter because it's dangerous driving during a storm so Hayden's hotel was closer and I'm afraid of thunderstorms so I stayed there." "Right...okay then, so where are you two going?" "To the set. We're shooting another scene." said Hayden firmly. "Okay well I'll see you later at home Lucy." "About that Aunt Julie...since your house is out of town, I'd be better if I stayed at the hotel near by. We shoot at odd times and having to go back and forth is going to take time. So..." "Right...well you can still visit on your days off right" "Uhh...yeah but not so much because we'll have to do interviews and photoshoots to promote this movie." "Alright them. I'll see you around Lucy."
Even his son tries to take something I love away from me. Well it won't work this time because I'll get him back...and he'll regret the day he ever left me....
