Articles of Impeachment against President Bush

An Ohio Democratic lawmaker and former presidential candidate has presented articles of impeachment against President George W. Bush to Congress. Thirty-five articles were presented by Rep. Dennis Kucinich to the House of Representatives late Monday evening, airing live on C-SPAN on June 9th, 2008. Not one mainstream media outlet has yet even mentioned this. It is like nothing happened. Let us all cross our fingers and hope it goes through!

The Gulf Oil Spil!!! It should take what is it now three, four months and they still can't figure out how to make the damn think stop leaking. Maybe they shouldn't be allowed to drill where they don't ahave the technology to fix things if they go wrong. I also think part of the is, besides technology, is that BP is trying to find out how they can still maximize their profits from that busted well instead of doing what is best for THE EARTH!

Any thoughts, anyone?

I know this is a very unpopular view. But it's really much less BPs fault than it is implied. They did some crap things, but there is no reason that they should have been allowed to do what they have done to begin with. BP is a huge company and companies that larger are traditionally held to higher standards by the government but unfortunately there are both loopholes within the system (which are much easier to exploit for a company which a literal army of lawyers) as well as departments that do not do their job properly.

Yes they are doing what is best for their profits, but if people (I am blaming myself as well for this) showed that the condition of the earth was a higher priority it wouldn't have been as much of an issue because they would make a better profit from helping the environment. That is one of the benefits as well as issues with capitalism.

It's a very complex issue and although it is def BP that caused which is not acceptable, but the way it has been attempted to be solved is also not acceptable. This just kinda reinforces my belief that the US government needs to be drastically reorganized, we have departments that are completely inefficient and government workers who are corrupt.
