I absolutely loooooove Make Yourself, but...

I still like the way Incubus has changed.

Isn't it just another reason to love them?

Only Incubus can transition so quickly and so well.

At this point, I don't really like any of their periods more than others. It's just a mood thing really. I think Light Grenades made me realize that... Neato.

If you like elclectic, DJ Shadow's "The Outsider" is the most eclectic out there. It runs the gammit from straight rap, to trip-hop, to r&b, to straight blues, to a sort of Radioheadesc thing... But it's about half rap, unfortunately, but not bad rap by any means.

But yes, I find that Incubus has made some of the most destincitive changes I've seen in a band.

there's also a band, as eclectic as it can get, its MATISYAHU..they are a bit reggae, rap/hiphop, rock, and all sorts..its unexplainable, and their lyrics are wonderful, a bit politically driven, but more on life..plus they singer looks like *whoa*..theyre great, check em out.. mrgreen

I have his Youth Dub EP. It's amazing instrumentals. Really cool, and I'm glad I got it for free. But yeah, I really would like a Matisyahu album. He's cool, and he can't touch gentiles which is awesome. I sometimes wish I couldn't touch gentiles.

Honestly, as of right now, Crow is probably my favorite. What is so "Ehh..." about it anyway? Everyone always says that, and I don't know why.

I mean, about half the songs on Make Yourself sound very simular.

There I said it. Yes, it has Warmth, Make Yourself, Pardon Me, Stellar and all those good things, but the filler tracks sound pretty simular.

I love Crow, and I love every single track on Make Yourself. Really Light Grenades is the weakest link to me, even though I LOVE it.

I know. I really do like every track on Make Yourself too, but I just wanted to blaspheme. But, yeah, I mean, there are a lot of good things about Light Grenades, but it is probably my least favorite right now, even though I loved it when it came out. It will probably equal out eventually, that is if I ever listen to Incubus again.

Jimi Hendrix is too good. Why listen to anything else? He makes life make sense.

Hendrix is amazing- but theres more to listen to than just him. He opens the gateways to other sounds.

I havent listened to Incubus is a while crying

I love the fact they've progressed so far in thier music and that every album sounds completely different from the one that came before or after it.
Because making all your albums sound the same is: A Very Bad Thing To Do.
I love it all! mrgreen

I actually got inspired to listen to Light Grenades last night (I was totaly jonesin' for some Anna Molly I must admit. That has got to be my favorite Red Hot Chili Peppers song... Uh, I mean Incubus.) and I was like, "You know, I really do like this album." So yeah, basically, the fact that their catalogue is so diverse is a good thing. I mean, yes, a couple more SCIENCEs would be nice, considering that sort of music is harder to come by then their other stuff, but progress is fun, and plus there is more of a chance that I will be in the mood for some Incubus this way.

However, right now I am in the mood for some Amniesiac on vinyl. Hooray for records and their making me do stuff.

I love Incubus no matter what album. Their songs and music may change over time but that is just the evolution of the band.
Honestly it would suck if they still were making the same music since say fungus amongus but also it would be boring to have their style based around light grenades. We would never have got tracks like make yourself or warning or certain shade of green.
The best part is you never know what direction they will take next. But it is great to see how at the very least i have matured over time along with Incubus and the different sounds that they produce.
Also the lyrics seem to get more deep end meaningful as the group mature and that is what impresses me about Incubus, their ability to write these deep and meaningful lyrics.

Final word, my fave track is Warning heart
