Hmm well I am happy to say I never felt that way. I only gained 27lbs which I have lost all already plus some and never had complications until the very end. I was getting tired of being on bed rest though... not being able to get up for 5 days straight laying on a hospital bed is really annoying.

Believe it or not, I don't seem to be making much progress! gonk I went to see the doctor yesterday and I was at 2 centimeters. But now I'm 2 days overdue and still no steady contractions!.... I don't even know what to do now!
They're going to schedule and induction if I don't have the baby by monday! I hate that idea because I had pitocin with my first labor because my water had broken. I didn't handle that very well. With my second labor, everything went naturally and I didn't even need any medication.... I REALLY don't want to be induced! sad

Oh no, that's no fun! I hear picoten is better the second time around when your body "knows what to do" so maybe it will go better this time. smile

I hope so. I'm still pretty worried. I've been trying to look up information as to the possible complications that being overdue can cause. I haven't found out much. Just that after a while the placenta looses its ability to pass nutrients along as well as before.

Yeah it can be a little scary, but also they could have simply miscalculated your due date(like your cycle was 32 days instead of 28 that month) I wouldn't worry too much. Just relax and hopefully that little rascal will decide to come out without having to give you any drugs smile

They're gonna let me wait until the end of the week. Then I have a doctor appointment friday afternoon. If I haven't made significant progress on my own then they're going to induce me by the following monday.
It's cool with me. I really didn't want much more than that! So... come out baby! lol

i'm sure everything will be fine. though i am no master of giving birth (being male) i would guess that every child is different, and i have never been a big fan of the idea that biology runs on a perfect schedule by the minute... God doesn't carry a watch... and if you don't believe in God, then Nature doesn't carry one either.

I was 1 week over due! and cranky, crabby, a down right b***h! I felt sorry for my husband. I worked on my feet everyday, till the morning the doctor told me I was going to have a C-section, the next day. I was so glad! I was one of the lucky mothers. I never had any labor pains. I was 1 week over due, and the baby was still not ready to come on her own. she was 9 pounds 11 ounces, and 21 inches long. I was as big as a house! My body will never return to normal. sweatdrop
My advice, Just keep thinking, "Just a few more days, and It will all be worth it."
