★ ϹRISTIANO DE LUCA---Actor ★|X| |X|STATUS: || PRESENT Time: 10:23 am--10:57 am | Day: Monday | Month: August Cris sat quietly and watched as the women flew through the store gathering clothes and putting together outfits. They seemed to know this store by heart because they knew just where to find certain articles of clothing. Their expertise showed through as they thoughtfully complied together different looks for Galan, for various different occasions, all of which were spot on and did well to enhance his appeal. Not only did they take pleasure in doing their job but they also seemed to enjoy dressing Galan.
Cris was merely acting as an overseer to it all, that and he thought Galan may be even more uncomfortable if he were to leave and come back later. The blond had no way of knowing this though, it had merely been a hunch, so he had went with his gut feeling. Every once in a while the women would bring Galan out of the dressing room and show him to Cris to see if he was pleased with their choices. Sometimes they would pick things up and show it to him before they even bothered to bring Galan to the dressing room. So, it was quite clear that they valued Cris' opinion. Cris was known to be a sharp dresser afterall, so maybe they were taking this into account. But no one knew whether his sense of style was due to his own tastes or if there had been a professional working behind the scenes.
Right now they had dressed him in a navy blue suit, one of there they had picked up. "What do you think, Mr. Luca? Sharp isn't it? You would know since you pick out your own suits with care." True, he did, he didn't just wear anything. His golden eyes surveyed the outfit as one woman placed Galan in front of him, turning him at different angles so he could see every detail of the suit. "It's nice. Blue seems to be his color, perhaps it's because it goes with his eyes." The women squealed joyfully.
"We thought so too that's why we picked it out! Besides, it cannot hurt to have some formal wear you never know when you will need it." Cris supposed Galan would need it. Slave or not. It was part of Cris' daily life to hold formal parties in his home or attend others. So there likely would be occasions where a suit would be needed.
They finished up gathering garments for Galan, Cris could sense the end was drawing near and phoned his chauffeur while he was sitting there. Once Cris was sure that all the clothing was worthy of being worn by him they brought the massive load to the counter and rung it up. Cris gave the total price a fleeting look, which was incredibly high. However, he simply swiped his card and that was the end of that. He had been pretty unconcerned with the amount it had cost him.
Outside Paul was leisurely sitting in the car. His eyes popped out of his head when he saw all the clothing, but Cris ignored him. Together they carried all the bags to the car and put them in the trunk. Cris ran a hand through his hair, probably feeling a little worn out by what just occurred. That had been a bit more hectic than he had thought it would be, though he had been aware of the fact that those women were quite 'passionate' about their profession. "Well at least that is over and done with." He looked at Galan. "Now clothing won't be an issue for you. Please do forgive me, I doubt you wanted me to spend money on you, but I can't bear to accept someone into my home and not see to it that they are properly taken care of. And I was very concerned about your lack of a wardrobe."
He looked at his watch. They probably should get going or he will be late to his appointment. He opened Galan's door for him, before getting in on his side. "Shoot if I were him I'd feel good to get all decked out like that." Paul smiled into his rear view mirror. "He didn't have to pay a cent." Cris put away the cell phone he had been looking at. "Yeah well I think Galan doesn't believe in excessive buying. He seems to be satisfied having just enough to survive comfortably." He could understand that too, but part of him wouldn't have blamed him if he took advantage of his generosity, isn't that the point? Afterall, not all slaves are lucky enough to get a humane owner. Sariyanna ((Good. I was worried you'd be annoyed that I quoted you.)) Hear me I'm cryin' out I'm ready now Turn my world upside down Find me ⊁⊀Galan⊁⊀
Galan wasn’t asked about a single thing put onto him, which was probably a good thing. He probably would have tried desperately to push all of the clothes back out of the changing room given the opportunity. But this seemed to be what Cris wanted. Why? Galan had no idea, but he couldn’t go against his master. That didn’t do anything to lessen his anxiety and mild panic and e was pushed and pulled into outfit after outfit. The only thing that kept him from fully shutting down was when he’d be brought out to be shown to Cris. Seeing his master, knowing that this is what he wanted, and he wasn’t being left, or sold off at the moment allowed him to take a deep breath, though his eyes were always huge and obviously disturbed by everything that was going on.
When he was finally released from the changing room, Galan practically darted to Cris’ side, desperate to get away from all of the attention and unneeded clothes. Why didn’t the man see that he was fine with the two sets of clack clothing he had. That was more than he even deserved. Kneeling on the ground beside Cris’ chair until the clothes were stacked on the counter, the small slave trailed after the man as he came up to pay for everything, doing his best to keep Cris between himself and the women without seeming rude. Spotting the number that came up when everything was done and over, Galan nearly choked. Galan may not be able to speak or read, but he knew and understood numbers, and he recognized the extreme cost Cris had just tossed into him without a second thought. That was even more than he was worth. He was a broken plaything at best, he’d never been sold for that price, and no one would dare put that much into even his care, now this man was buying him things he didn’t even need.
Taking as many of the bags as he could manage, Galan slowly trailed after Cris and put the clothes in the car, more and more concerned with how many there were now that he saw it outside of the shop. Waiting outside as everything was put in the car, Galan stayed curled into himself a little, making himself small, keeping out of the way and out of notice, body tenser than before, eyes still huge. Looking to his master when he was spoken to, he bit his lip and shook his head quickly at Cris’ apology, both unwilling to accept a master apologizing to a slave and wanting to convey how little his ‘lack of a wardrobe’ had been a problem. How could Cris have seen it as such? He’d already been given a room and food and had the extra set of clothes now so he’d always have a clean set to wear.
Slipping into the car when expected, he curled up on the seat again, taking up as little room as possible and watching Cris to make sure he didn’t need anything. Attention turning to paul when he spoke, Galan looked almost horrified at the suggestion. Was he trying to get him in trouble? Even the very idea that he was taking too much pleasure in something could get him beat or worse. And then he made it worse by mentioning the money. Galan didn’t want any of this, he was already being allowed to live in what was almost paradise. He was bordering on panic when his eyes snapped back to Cris as he spoke. He didn’t seem to be angry or annoyed. In fact he seemed to understand him, at least a little. But if he did, why had he bought all of this?

★ ϹRISTIANO DE LUCA---Actor ★|X| |X|STATUS: || PRESENT Time: 11:00 am | Day: Monday | Month: August Paul shrugged at Cris' explanation. "I guess. He's a pretty humble slave then. Honestly if I'd went through alot of horror and bull crap I'd be soaking up a person's kindness. The kindness is long overdue anyway!" He glared at the road, remembering something from the past. Paul had worked for other big shots who had slaves, and they weren't as nice as Cris. It had been Therefore he had an idea of what slaves were forced to tolerate. This unjust treatment was why he had quite his job as a driver for his previous employer and had looked for work once more, only to land within Cris' household.
Cris smiled pleasantly, he looked out the window. "Maybe..." Maybe it was overdue, but he didn't want to focus too much on the negative. Galan wasn't with anybody else. Just him. So there wasn't anything to worry about. So long as Galan was with him he could make sure no harm was done to him.
The car pulled away from the sidewalk and continued on to their next destination. They journeyed further downtown and soon came to a collection of large buildings. One seemed to be a studio.
Once they found a parking spot they got out. "Here we are. I have an appointment with a friend here. He's a photographer." Cris looked to Paul. Paul climbed out of his seat in front. "I'll be taking a little break in the cafe over there." He pointed across the street, "but I'll be back over when you need me." Cris said 'okay' and led Galan toward the building, while Paul headed across the street with a collection of his favorite magazines.
Once they entered a woman behind a desk greeted them. "Cris you're here. Horatio is right over there." She pointed in the direction of where photography equipment was set up. Kneeling on the flooring taking pictures was a tall handsome man, with dark hair and a tanned complexion. The model he was taking photos of was partially nude and brunette with striking green eyes. Slowly and soundlessly Cris approached and Galan behind him and watched. The model seemed comfortable working with a small audience and continued to pose. And Horatio wasn't at all distracted. Actually it looked like he didn't even know they were there at first, only indication that he did was because as soon as he took his last photo he greeted them.
"Right on time as always, Cris. And as always I've been looking forward to working with you." The man stood and looked at his friend. Not long afterwards his light brown eyes lowered to stare at Galan. "Hmm, who is this?"
"A new member to my household: Galan." The man's eyes surveyed the youthful male before him, he's eyes widened when he noticed the collar he donned. "A slave?" "Yes, well, Rose retrieved him without my knowledge, but he will remain with us nevertheless." Cris spoke this quite impersonally, he fixed the cuff of his shirt and wandered the area taking in the equipment being used. The female model was gathering her things and exiting the scene. He took in the image of the lights, white screen and equipment, while Horatio eyed Galan. Cris wandered back after taking the time to look around, he gently placed a hand upon Galan's shoulder.
"Galan this is Horatio Russo. Well known photographer and a friend of mine." Horatio smiled and held his hand out to Galan, the smile seemed a bit superficial though. "Galan, is it? Well it is nice to meet you." He didn't really wait for Galan to take his hand, but grabbed the slave's hand instead and gave it a good two shakes. "I doubt you have interest in this sort of thing, but perhaps you will be intrigued all the same. Observing the human form, nature, anything at all from behind a camera lens can be quite therapeutic. It may be fun to try it out sometime; I'm sure Cris would let you leave the house from time to time so you can practice."
Cris smiled at some makeup artists, and a person came up to take his suit jacket--apparently he wouldn't be needing it. Horatio came up from behind him and started to speak, quietly."He looks quite young."
"Does it matter?"
"Perhaps. Surely you have an interest in him, or else you wouldn't be keeping him." "I'd rather not speak of him as if he were a pet. As for interest, I am interested in his ability to work." "And there is no sexual connotation to that?" Horatio all but sneered.
Cris gave a sigh and rolled his shoulders. This was bothersome. "There you go again; let it go already you are making a fool of yourself."
"Am I? I am merely speaking the truth. I am under the impression you plan to use him like you did me."
"I did not use you. I gave you what you wanted because I thought it would satisfy you. A mistake on my part."
"M-mistake? You slept with me and then tossed me aside like I was yesterday's news." Clearly this man never read those god awful celebrity magazines. It was almost common knowledge that Cristiano De Luca did not do 'serious relationships.' However, he was no playboy either, most thought he was though. He picked his affairs with care; if he could avoid them then he did. It wasn't often he gave into lust. He tried to evade that trap at all costs.
"I was not trying to confuse you or lead you on, and you shouldn't have taken me so seriously." "What did you think I wanted from you? All my efforts...it had been because I adored you." "So does more than half the people who know my name." He spoke matter-of-factly. Honestly Cris did not want this conversation now. That little mistake of his had gone on a while back and it was over. He was trying to maintain a decent friendship with this man but he tended to dwell on the past.
Cris looked past Horatio like he didn't see him. "Look, do this later okay? We are running into 'my time' here. We'll discuss this later." "Over dinner." Horatio insisted persistently. Cris eyed him sharply, an expression he normally didn't wear. After a staring match that was about five minutes long he sighed, "Fine." But he regretted it almost right away.
He walked away from him and headed to the photo shoot area. "Okay where do you want me and what do you want me to do?"MDaylus ((OOC: Nope it's fine. It needed to be done because I was taking too long.))

Hear me I'm cryin' out I'm ready now Turn my world upside down Find me ⊁⊀Galan⊁⊀
Galan looked back to paul as he spoke and saw his anger, saw how his grip tightened on the steering wheel and he shrunk away slightly, putting as much space as he could manage between himself and the driver. Sure, Paul wasn’t angry at him, even seemed to be talking about how poorly treated slaves were. Logically that meant that he wouldn’t hurt Galan. But he knew better. Even kind people would use a slave as a way to release their emotions if they were all that was around. It was completely in the realm of possibility for Paul to lash out at Galan. Sure, Cris would have to give permission, but the men seemed friendly, so he’d probably give Paul the permission without question.
When they got out of the car, Galan watched Paul leave for the café and hurried behind Cris, staying a respectable distance from him, but not falling behind. When they entered the studio and Galan saw the model, he blinked and quickly looked away. He wasn’t embarrassed by any means, he’d seen woman and men in all states of undress before, but he somehow felt that it was wrong to watch or look, especially since he had no idea what Cris attitudes and moods were over such things. Cris could very well be using this to test him. He didn’t look up until the photographer stood and greeted Cris. As soon as his eyes turned to Galan, the slave averted his, trying to make himself unnoticeable behind Cris, but the man was walking away.
Standing there, eyes on the floor, he let them discuss him, not caring about how impersonal it was, how they acted like he wasn’t in the room. It was beyond common to discuss slaves in such a manner. After all, they weren’t to have any opinion or mind of their own. He could feel the photographers eyes on him, but he didn’t move. It wasn’t his place to hide or show off, he just had to wait for orders.
Looking at his master when he returned, he glanced at Horatio and bowed his head when introduced. He was surprised by the offered hand and stiffened visibly when Horatio took his hand. He stopped himself short of pulling away from the man, and the touch was gone as quickly as it had come. Looking up to Cris to make sure he wasn’t angry, he let himself take a small step away from Horatio, hoping he wouldn’t touch him again. Listening to the photographer talking about what he did, he just gave a small nod, not really understanding. He’d never used a camera before, never given more than the briefest of glances at pictures and tvs.
Moving away when Horatio and Cris seemed to be having a private conversation, he stood obediently to the side, glancing over the studio and everyone in it, taking note of those who watched Cris and those who were looking him over curiously. When Cris moved to stand in front of the lights, Galan took that to mean he wouldn’t be needed for the time being. Slowly moving to an empty space against the wall, he slowly sat down, careful to keep out of anyone’s way. Folding himself up as small as he could manage, he watched Cris curiously, having never seen a photo shoot before. It was impressive to see how he automatically knew how to pose, how to make himself look good, or better at least since he was already an extremely attractive man.

★ ϹRISTIANO DE LUCA---Actor ★|X| |X|STATUS: || PRESENT Time: 11:43 am | Day: Monday | Month: August He had likely cut off the conversation earlier than Horatio would have liked, but he was completely done with the bickering. Now was not the time for it. So instead of continuing with the back and forth exchange of insults they started to work. Horatio slipped back into his professional mold and began giving Cris directions. It varied between shots. In the beginning he said very little and let the actor make his own moves, halfway in he started to give more demands about where he wanted him to stand, at what angle and his preferences about where his arms and legs should be. Cris didn't complain, afterall this was part of the job. Though the photographer himself at times worked his nerves to no end. He felt a fan was necessary to blow his gold locks out of the way so the last couple of shots were taken in this fashion. A few flashes later and Horatio lowered his camera with satisfaction. "I feel as though we have just done some good work here." He spoke casually and adjusted his camera.
"Good. I wanted to make sure you got some decent shots." Cris retrieved his suit jacket and slung it over one of his shoulders. "Those are for the magazine aren't they?" "Yes they are." The photographer confirmed. "They will be put together with whatever they choose to use in the little segment of their magazine they devoted to you. Of course I am fascinated with these shots but I'll be interested in viewing that interview you are due to give," he eyed the actor, "as well."
Cris could imagine why, magazines loved to pry into his private life and Horatio was probably curious to see which route he would take when it comes to answering some of those challenging questions. Not like he felt the need to meet his standards. Running his fingers through his hair he looked around at the people who had seemingly gathered in clusters to watch him; it was while he was preoccupied with the bystanders that Horatio looked at Galan who was off to the side, trying to make himself invisible it would seem. He had succeeded for a little while. During the shoot Horatio had found that he forgot the slave was even here.
He spoke out just then, "Before you go, I'd like to take some shots of that young man if you don't mind." A bit surprised, Cris looked quizzically at him. "Why?"
Horatio looked at him, a slight smile was on his face. "Why else? He inspires me. I feel like he'd add a certain aura to a picture. I'm interested in seeing how they would turn out. I actually think he could be photogenic." Cris said nothing, but he did frown slightly. Not because he thought Galan wasn't meant to be photographed but because Horatio's attention seemed to be on him too heavily. It made him a bit suspicious.
He looked away and adjusted his tie which had been loosened a bit. "Fine." But it sounded slightly uncivil. Horatio ignored him though and gestured to Galan, he didn't really make it look like he was giving the slave a choice. He looked all too expectant. "If you would please step this way..." He gestured to the area set up. "You won't have to worry about not knowing what to do. I'll give you directions like I did with Cris."

Hear me I'm cryin' out I'm ready now Turn my world upside down Find me ⊁⊀Galan⊁⊀
Galan let a small smile slip across his lips as Cris managed to get better and better pictures. His master truly was handsome. He could see how people could be so obsessed with him. That idea was just confirmed as more and more people began to come closer to the shoot, standing around to watch and talking softly amongst themselves. Eventually Galan’s view was obscured, and he simply pulled his knees closer, resting his chin on them as he let his eyes fall to the floor in front of him.
When Cris stopped however, Galan was quick to stand. He didn’t approach however. Cris would call when he needed him, and it would be a very bad idea for Galan to interrupt when his master was talking to someone else. So he just stood there, hugging his arms slightly and keeping his eyes lowered respectfully. He could feel eyes on him, knew someone was watching. Someone who wasn’t his master. He wasn’t sure he liked that idea much. Cris was a good man, a good master, at least so far. If someone else showed interest, then Cris might be convinced to sell him, something Galan wasn’t too keen on. He had liked Cris’ home. He would like to stay there for as long as he was allowed.
Looking up when Horatio spoke about him, Galan was clearly shocked, and was suddenly falling into a bit of a panic. Why would anyone want to take pictures of him? The only slaves that had pictures taken were pets. Galan was hardly that. He was meant to be ignored and forgotten. Looking back to Cris, Galan almost hoped he’d refuse, but he didn’t, agreeing to let the photographer take a few shots of Galan. Seeing the gesture he was given, Galan ducked his head slightly, a faint blush rising in his cheeks. He really didn’t like this.
Moving to the set, Galan was as graceful and silent as ever. Standing about where Cris had, Galan turned back to Horatio, glancing up at him once before he ducked his head again. With his head bowed and hands fidgeting in front of him, Galan looked almost painfully uncomfortable. He hated being in the spot light, hated having so many curious eyes turned on him. Perhaps they would see how pointless it was to be focusing on him and would change their minds, look away and let him leave without another word. But Horatio had picked him out when not a single other person even remembered he was there….so he knew escaping this was a faint hope.

★ ϹRISTIANO DE LUCA---Actor ★|X| |X|STATUS: || PRESENT Time: 11:43 am | Day: Monday | Month: August He was the silent shy type who seemed most comfortable sticking to the shadows. Horatio seemed to find his type more interesting. Perhaps he was thinking about where that nature may have spawned from—what kind of experiences… It was only after Galan had taken his position that Cris began to think he should have not allowed this to happen. But he reclined back against a wall some distance behind Horatio and watched.
Horatio looked at the scene and poses came to him right off the bat. Stand feet apart. Hook your thumbs loosely in the belt loops of your pants. Relax those shoulders. Look into the camera lens. Squint the eyes. Look away, to the left, stretching the neck a bit. Create some angles by moving your shoulders slightly into a different position. Stand to the side and look down. Flip the hair a bit. Mess it up, make it look disheveled. Rub your hands through your hair. Adjust the shirt a bit, show a bit more skin without directing all the viewer’s attention to that area. Relax the mouth. Open it slightly. Touch your lip with your finger slightly, gently; even place a small, small percent of the tip of your finger in your mouth. Props were brought into the scene and taken out and Horatio had Galan move over at one point.
Lean against the wall, tuck your hands into your pockets. Angle the head in various different positions. The fan was turned on and then turned back off. The lights were adjusted so that they fell upon the slave in the perfect fashion. Horatio gained more ideas as he went it would seem, as Galan took his orders he would get a new idea. Cris was merely a spectator in the background. Unknown to Horatio there were times where Galan either had looked at him for reassurance or even because he hadn’t known what the photographer had wanted him to do. In those moments Cris would make small gestures to help him out, especially when it came to body angling. He would show Galan by turning his own head the way Horatio had ordered and would casually position some of his limbs so that Galan could mimic him and get his positions right. He got it though, so after a while Cris was able to just stand there and watch again. But the crowd that had gathered when he had taken his pictures didn’t disperse. They were much too interested in this young male who Horatio had said he wanted to photograph. This probably had added to Galan’s discomfort.
Watching and listening to the scene before him, Cris angled his head to look at a group of people whispering with each other. “He’s cute isn’t he? And the way he moves has a different ‘feel’ to it. Make some one else do those positions and they could come off as being a lot more intimidating and intense.” “It’s fascinating how that varies depending on the person.” “He’s got some nice skin. And I love the shade of his hair. The lightening works with him perfectly.” “If he’s a newbie he takes orders really well. I like the shots Horatio’s taking.” “Wait…did he came in with…Cristiano? Who is he?”
Most of those comments weren’t bad. They seemed to actually like Galan’s modeling. Cris’ eyes returned to the shoot and he watched it thoughtfully. Now he could see what they found appealing about this. It seemed like Galan naturally belonged in these settings, even if he wasn’t quite comfortable there. Even though he was a bit awkward about doing this, even that looked somewhat natural in these shots.
By the time it was over Horatio was beaming as though he felt he had just struck gold. He bid the men farewell and said he’d contact Cris about the photos, tell him how they came out. While Galan had been wrapping up his shoot Cris had contacted Paul so when they had exited the studio he had been waiting for them. The last thing Horatio had said was for Cris not to forget their little ‘date’ later tonight.
Next Cris had some new episodes to shoot for the tv drama. This part of his day always felt like routine. He has been apart of this cast for years. They were in their fifth season.
Once he came in he was immediately flocked with questions about Galan. One of the assistant producers turned his attention to Galan after noticing him almost right away. “Hmm, who is this? Are you allowing someone to shadow you?” He asked. “Something like that.” Cris replied, “But he isn’t just anybody. He works for me. I figured getting out wouldn’t hurt him. I’m under the impression that his life has consisted of being confined to a single house, if not a single room.” Galan’s reaction to most of what he showed him made it seem as though Galan’s life up until now hadn’t granted him many freedoms. And he likely hadn’t been able to go anywhere. There seemed to be a lot that was new to him and Cris did somewhat take pleasure in exposing him to new things. He didn’t really want his past experiences to blanket over everything else. He wanted him to have some new, more positive experiences.
Someone tapped him on the shoulder, and he gathered his thoughts. “Cris we need you in your dressing room right now… Are you feeling alright?” “Fine.” He answered and walked past her. “I was merely thinking.”
In his dressing room he took a seat and allowed the makeup artists to do their job. If anything their work made his already chiseled features to stand out even more. His face was already considered to be perfection; the makeup only enhanced this effect. While they worked on him he thought about that photo shoot and how well Galan had done.

Hear me I'm cryin' out I'm ready now Turn my world upside down Find me ⊁⊀Galan⊁⊀
Galan did exactly as he was told, body moving as Horatio asked without him even having to think twice about it. He was so used to following any order, no matter what, that it wasn’t hard to do as the photographer asked. He kept glancing to Cris though, relieved when the man silently offered help, moving how Galan needed to, the slave mirroring him exactly whenever he was taking directions from his master. At least Cris didn’t seem upset by how he was doing. Failing at something his master’s friend asked of him was just as punishable as failing at something for Cris. Galan was well aware of that.
Even though no one seemed upset by his presence or performance, Galan never relaxed, even seeming to grow more anxious as more people watched him and Horatio’s attention and enthusiasm grew. He tried his hardest to avoid looking at the camera unless told he had to, and he made sure to look at none of the other people there. He hated this. Why couldn’t they leave him alone, let him stay in the shadows? Having attention as a slave was a very bad thing. It meant pain or humiliation was likely to come around, if not both. But everyone here seemed to be fascinated by him, and not interested in hurting him. Could this actually be something people liked him doing? Not something that came before punishment?
When Horatio finished, Galan was quick to return to Cris’ side, keeping his master between himself and as many of the people as possible. When Cris turned to leave, Galan was quick to follow, obviously eager to escape. He even went ahead of Cris to open doors for him just to get out of there faster. As much as he’d liked watching Cris work, he did not like getting put in the position of having his own pictures taken. He didn’t let out a breath until he was inside the car and Paul was driving them to their next destination.
Once they reached the tv set, Galan was amazed yet again. Looking around, he stayed close to Cris, but he wanted to explore. To see all of the little sets for various rooms, figure out how and what the various machines did. It was all completely foreign to him.
But his wonder only lasted until they were again crowded by people and Galan’s presence was noticed and questioned. Looking down, he shrunk away from the curious men and women. When Cris explained his presence, Galan looked up at him, biting his lip. His master was more right than he knew. So many of his masters had done exactly that to him. He certainly wasn’t allowed to leave the house. Cris was the first to take him out and not sell him off, though he supposed that was still an option for Cris until they returned to his home at least.
Following Cris when he was led back to his dressing room, Galan stood quietly in a corner, watching the makeup artists. Tilting his head, he frowned slightly. He’d seen people putting makeup on before, but they’d never had others to do it for them, and it wasn’t like Cris needed the makeup. He was already handsome enough. Of course as Galan saw how Cris’ features were exaggerated and enhanced, he understood it more.
Following Cris back out when he had to return to the set, he found himself an out of the way place to sit once again, hugging his legs close to keep himself from getting in the way. This was far more interesting than watching the photo shoot. People weren’t moving around as much and everyone but the actors and actresses were quiet. Sure, they had to go over the same scene and same lines several times, but it was intriguing to see how everyone changed what they said things to try and change the scenes subtly.

★ ϹRISTIANO DE LUCA---Actor ★|X| |X|STATUS: || PRESENT Time: 10:08 pm | Day: Monday | Month: August Cris stared at his reflection as the stylist ran a comb through his gold locks, the makeup, though light weight, he could feel on his cheeks and he honestly just wanted to wash it off. A man peeked his head through the doorway. “Mr. De Luca, you’re on in another 20 minutes.” Cris nodded his understanding and leaned back in his chair thinking about the scenes he was supposed to be shooting today. Of course he had all the lines and directions in his head, but this was only to make sure his memory was in tiptop shape. Angelica Flannery had been playing his lover since the soap opera started, some liked to think it was the closest they’d ever see to a real relationship from him. They probably were right about that.
Their chemistry was undeniable, which led to many magazines believing they carried a torch for each other. It was mostly wishful thinking on their part; they’ve seen the same pair of actors getting along on and off the set and apparently that means there is a secret love affair. He at times found the little stories they wrote amusing. He never really took them seriously. Nor did he take the other stories seriously, about how difficult he is, about how no woman could tie him down, he is polite, practices good etiquette but no one truly knows him. They think he’s picture perfect, untouchable, and incapable of being caught in a lie. Somehow he had managed to generate this godly image of a man who cannot be unraveled. That had never been his intention.
Soon enough they found loopholes to his otherwise perfect personality: the fact that for one reason or another he does not commit. And he has yet to answer that question when it comes to the media—even though he’s been in the business for years. Mostly all they’ve ever got is vague answers.
He closed his eyes and she gave his face one last dust off, making sure the concealer laid perfectly upon his skin. Then he stood from his chair. “Hopefully this won’t be boring for you. If it doesn’t then this whole thing should feel like a speedy process.” He said the Galan. He was starting to become accustomed to the slave’s quiet presence, and as he gave him a brief glance he found himself wondering what the male thinks of as he observes his surroundings and the people in it.
Cris emerged from his dressing room a little while later and took his place on set. Mostly Angelica was there, and the other actors who were supposed to enter the scene later on stood by ready and out of the way. Once he stood toward the edge of the living room setup he briefly looked in the actress’s direction and she smiled at him.
3…2….1…Action!
He stood toward the window, his hands shoved into his pockets as he faced away from her. “You really expect me to believe you? After I’ve caught you two together so many times?” She shouted, angered by the sight of his back. He sighed, “Elise, how many times do I have to tell you nothing happened.” “As if I’d believe you now. After all the lies you’ve fed me.” She ran her hands through her dirty blonde hair. “You’ve made me look like a fool and everyone…Everyone seems to have known about this except me. Why?” She inquired, only to receive no answer. Angry and frazzled she picks up her purse, announces that she’s leaving, and goes to the front door. But he turns and crosses the room with enough speed to close it again just as she’s opening it. “Don’t leave.” “Let go of me Eric. I’m tired of the lies, I just want to get away.”
Cris could see the lines of the script in his head as he methodically went over, once last time, what he is supposed to do next. Basically they were supposed to have a violent struggle that is to end in a romantic scene. There really wasn’t much written about both scenes other than the fact that he generally is supposed to prevent her from making it out the door. Grab her body, hold her in place—it was all fairgame. And she generally was supposed to try to escape him. Shove him away. Slip her wrists out of his grasp. Of course he wasn’t supposed to allow her to.
A buildup of raw emotion will make her begin to cry and grow weak.
“I don’t know why you’re doing this to me.” She wept achingly. A mirror of pain in his gold eyes he tenderly grasped her face and locked lips with her. Her hands fight still, trying to push their bodies apart but her strength has left her body. Her back presses against the wall, and he closes the small distance between them…melting his body against hers. Her tears coat her cheeks and dampen his fingers but they are both scarcely aware of it, as well as the dozens of mesmerized stares upon them, as they proceed to heatedly kiss one another.
The studio was utterly silent as the spectators looked on, probably lost in the moment as well, though they were in no way involved except as an audience. Breathing grew heavy and loud, items were knocked over and clothing was shed. In the end of the scene Cris' character Eric casually puts his clothes back on and leaves his sleeping wife to go confront the woman who is slowly tearing his family life apart.
“Alright Cut!”
Cris stepped off the set while Angelica gathered herself. They both received the usual praise for a job well done. But it felt a bit awkward right now. You could see it in the faces of all those who had been watching. “Oh dear,” the female actress laughed at one point. “I think the zipper of this dress got damaged from all the yanking.” She flushed. One of the people in charge of wardrobe told her to step into the back so that something can be done about it.
They proceeded with the next set of shots, but it would seem everyone was living off the high of that first scene.
“Mr. De Luca do you want me to cleanse your face for you? I know you don’t appreciate all that product on you.” She smiled endearingly, “Clogging up your pores.” Well he could have washed his own face but she insisted she help at least a little bit. He closed his eyes and she wiped at his face with a cloth as he sat in his dressing room at the end of the day. Her hands were clumsy though, and they shook a bit. She seemed to get like this every time she saw him in a love scene. It was like his sex appeal would reinforce itself all over again, tenfold. He didn’t much like how everyone would always act odd afterwards; only the director seemed immune to it. To him work was work, no matter how real it may have felt.
He splashed some water on his face and had his face dabbed dry by her. “Goodnight Mr. De Luca, I look forward to assisting you next time.” She spoke with vigor and he lifted his brow as she hastily turned away from him. Lifting his wrist he looked at his watch. The sight of a 10 staring back at him made him sigh inwardly. He had promised Horatio hadn’t he? That dinner. It would show a lack of integrity for him not to show, if he cancels on him…for no reason at all, then that will make it look as though the man has somehow gotten under his skin. He didn’t want that.
He looked for Galan at that moment, and found him close by like usual. Quiet, but present—well at least he knew how to stick to him like glue. He’d never have to worry about losing him. The makeup artist left the room and it was just the two of them. “I was planning on heading home at this time but…there was a slight change of plans. I’ll have Paul take you home for the time being. And I'll be in later on.” The actor stated as he fixed his hair, looking at his own reflection in the mirror. He turned to look at Galan.

Hear me I'm cryin' out I'm ready now Turn my world upside down Find me ⊁⊀Galan⊁⊀
Watching the makeup artist finish up on Cris, Galan tilted his head curiously from the corner he was standing in. It really was confusing as to why they’d put makeup on an already attractive man. Why couldn’t they just let him be? He doubted anyone would be unimpressed by Cris’ appearance. Even if Galan didn’t let himself look at people to often, tried to keep himself from forming opinions on others because it didn’t matter what he thought, he knew when people were attractive or unattractive. When he recognized that, it meant they really were one extreme or another.
Snapping to attention when Cris turned his attention to him, Galan offered a nervous smile. Quickly lowering his eyes after, Galan gave a small nod of recognition. He was sure it would be interesting to watch, whatever Cris was about to do. And to make it better it seemed that he wouldn’t be at risk of getting dragged into the spotlight again like with the photographer. Following Cris out, he stayed close until they neared the set. Stopping, he watched Cris take his spot. Then there were more people standing near the set and Galan backed away without question so they could take his place.
Standing well out of the way, Galan wrapped his arms around himself and watched. He was rather impressed by the change in Cris. His master seemed to be such a polite and mild-mannered person, even if he was a commanding presence. But this was nothing like him normally. Galan was intrigued until the scene devolved into a physical fight. Shifting uncomfortably as he watched, he eventually looked away. He hated violence, hated the use of physical force. It had been such a large part of his life, both directed at him and at others, he didn’t understand why people would feel the need to include it in their entertainment was beyond Galan’s understanding. And then the violence turned to lust, as it so often did. Looking back up, Galan watched this shift for a moment, but then he looked away once more. It felt wrong. Lust, love, sex, it was all forbidden to him, it felt wrong to watch another, even if it was fake.
Slowly sinking to the floor, Galan sat, curled up as usual and just let his eyes remain glued to the floor, only looking up the scene seemed to be called to an end. Watching people instantly surround his master, Galan didn’t move, knowing he wasn’t invited to approach at the moment. Tilting his head curiously as the set was changed and they prepared for the next scene, Galan was honestly more interested in the work that was going on behind the scenes than the acting. Seeing these people instantly change moods, personalities, tones, it was a little unsettling. Things like that were what made red flags pop up all over the place for Galan. He was good at reading people, he had to be, but seeing them change so suddenly, it made Galan unsure of what they were thinking or feeling.
Staying stone still in his spot until the scenes were all wrapped up and Cris was being led off again, Galan quickly rose to his feet, ignoring the tingle in his legs from not moving n so long and quickly followed after him. Slipping into the dressing room after Cris and those tending to him, he again moved to the corner he’d stood in before, barely making any noise and not drawing anyone’s attention. Just the way he liked it. He could stay in the shadows and do his job and no one bothered him. He was safe from any unpleasantness or violence from them all. Eyes staying on Cris until the man looked for him. Galan quickly lowered his eyes again, not even paying attention as the makeup artist left. Listening to his master speak, Galan was a little confused about why this was being explained to him. He deserved no explanation. Cris could do with him and send him wherever he liked. He felt the man’s eyes on him however and nodded his understanding. Looking around, he spotted Cris’ jacket and he hastily retrieved it, bringing it over and holding it up for Cris, hoping to be useful. When he met his master’s eyes, he clearly had questions, he was curious and confused about much of what had happened today, but he looked away again. He was always curious about things, liked learning and experiencing, but he had never been able to question anything, so he was used to ignoring it.

★ ϹRISTIANO DE LUCA---Actor ★|X| |X|STATUS: || NOT-PRESENT Time: 11:10 pm | Day: Monday | Month: August “Paul do me a favor and take Galan back to the house. I’ll call you when…well, I may not need you at all actually.” Cris scratched his head as a thought hit him. His gold eyes narrowed a bit as he stared into space. Paul spun his keys on his finger but stopped at Cris’ words. “Huh? You’re not coming?” “No, I have something else I need to take care of.” Cris said. His blond head rotated as he looked away. Paul frowned, “Well I’ll be damned…your plans were the same up until a while ago. Well… you may need a ride home after you’re finished.”
“I doubt it. He’ll probably be more than willing to take me back to the house.”
Paul lifted an eyebrow. “Him?” He thought for a moment, his expression looked puzzled at first but soon it darkened. “Don’t tell me that guy wants to see you again. I don’t like him. He’s…not right.” Paul hissed through his teeth, by the severity of that expression on his face something wasn’t sitting well with him. “You sure you’d rather not just ignore him?” The whole time Paul didn’t really name names, but the way he spoke hinted that he knew who Cris would be spending the evening in the company of. The chauffeur had a fiery look in his eye for some reason—a look that oozed of contempt for the person his employer was seeing.
Cris could only sigh. “Paul enough already. I think this is necessary. There seems to have been several misunderstandings.” The actor didn’t say anything more after that; he quietly looked up at the sky that had darkened. His silence seemed to demand that the conversation be dropped. Paul looked about to open his mouth yet again, but he reluctantly closed it. “Alright. Then I guess I’ll be seeing ya tomorrow afternoon.” The chauffeur gave him one last look over and gruffly told Galan to follow him. Then he turned his back on Cris and started toward where the car was parked.
Cris only stood there outside the studio building, and watched them as they left.
Paul was pretty quiet once they had started off down the street. He didn’t even put the radio on. He just drove with that dark expression. And he seemed to forget Galan was in the backseat. Or at least, you would think that he had, until Cris’ home came into sight and he pulled up into the long driveway.
He did not simply stop and allow Galan to get out though. He got out as well and beside the slave, walked up to the front door and rang the bell so Rose would get the door. She did but her sharp eyes bounced between the two and looked at Paul grouchily like he had somehow messed up. “Where’s Mr. Luca?”
“He’s coming later. He told me to go ahead and bring Galan home.” Rose’s eyebrows lifted in surprise. “W-What? Why?” Paul shrugged. “He’s seeing someone this evening. Anyways, I’ll be coming around tomorrow for when he’s ready to head out. Later. Cris told me before that he was doing something in the morning and that he wouldn’t be leaving until the afternoon.” He turned away from Rose’s questioning look and waved. “See ya’ll tomorrow.” He shoved both hands into his pockets and walked back to his car. Rose stared after him dumbfounded.
She turned her sharp stare to Galan after Paul drove away. “Is that true?” She asked harshly, as if the slave before her could actually vocalize. For whatever reason she needed someone to confirm what Cris’ reckless driver had just said. But she probably had already known that what he had said was fact.
After seeing Galan’s reaction she sighed dramatically. This was something new for Cris, he usually always came back with Paul. He almost never sent his driver back without him. She quietly moved aside and let Galan enter the home. “Well I hope you enjoyed yourself out there. Away from all these chores.” She eyed the male, though they all knew Cris had said he wanted to take Galan, and Galan had not volunteered simply to get out of this place. “Things are winding down. Dinner is prepared and you may eat it. I doubt you’ve had anything for a while. I placed you plate in the microwave and it should still be warm. It wasn’t that long ago that I put it in there.” Rose crossed her arms over her chest, and glanced to the side. She was likely still thinking about Cris. “When Mr. Luca comes back you can do as you did before and bring his dinner to his room. Then go to bed. But for now you may fill your stomach and lounge around. I think a few servants are actually still in the dining room eating as well. I will be folding the rest of the laundry I started earlier.” She looked back at the slave, expectantly, as if she was waiting for an indication he understood. ~~~~~ Cris’ gold eyes followed the few pedestrians walking around, and out of the corner of his eye he saw a dark vehicle pull up. A window rolled down and Horatio’s face appeared. “Ah, so you didn’t lie to me. I was expecting you to.” Cris didn’t reply to that; he just got into the car. “Let’s go.”
