Matthew remarked upon the two men, one looked as if he had recently basked in the sun, and the other looked as if the very abyss was coming off of his robes. "I'm looking for someone. Though I have no comment on the evil that surrounds our governments. If you;ll excuse me, I do need to enter this very ruined library." Matthew turned once more towards the doorway taking a few deliberate steps.

Raithe groaned in disappointment. "Nevermind," She said flatly, and turned to leave without her promised meal. "I have no intentions of letting a house cook me a magic meal, let alone look in my mind to do it. I'll show myself out." She headed out the door, not expecting anyone to do anything about it. Wizards, Raithe thought miserably. Everything always has to be settled with magic. Why can't they see that some things need to be done by hand...? As she thought, her stomach protested silently, but she ignored it. She'd grab something to eat later. Something that wasn't magically made to be exactly what she wanted.

Remember how you said Ivellios could show up at any moment? Well my guard stays up which means this house of yours can't read my mind. And much like mages us psions have limited capacities each day, there is no point in me using any powers if I have no need to.

And besides, the first time he had went into Wills mind he had been bombarded with thoughts, it had taken a bit of power to block them and only get specific ones, not something he wanted to go through again at the moment.

William groaned, he was actually going to have to cook. "Raithe, please wait," he sighed deeply, "I'll cook by hand" the way that William said it, made it seem like it was very uncommon for Will to cook things in that manner. "I was simply hoping I'd be able to chat with you all while our food was being prepared, but I suppose we can wait for that." William then proceeded to the kitchen without further ado.

Pointed ears perking at the renewed promise of food, Raithe turned back as Will spoke. She smirked in triumph as he left to cook, happy that she wouldn't have to go looking for good food after all. Then again....Raithe paused as a though came to her. If he uses magic to cook for him, how good could his real cooking be? Suddenly wooried, Raithe walked quickly to follow Will, her steel toed boots announcing her presence.

As long as it turns out edible. Shadow laughed quietly, moving back into pace behind Will. As he walked his mind wandered, thoughts turning to his psicrystal. He was starting to wonder what was going on with Orophin, hopefully the man hadn't turned out to be hostile, though if he did his psicrystal should still contact him, even if it was only a small quick message...

William heard someone enter the kitchen just after him. The room was very constructed of very polished wood, and the counters were made of a marble looking mineral always very polished. The room was overly glamourous when it's only purpose was to be used to make it messier. William hated how much value this place had taken to come into existence. Turning to see who it was he was slightly embarassed once again by his overly pampered looking lifestyle. "Oh... Hello Raithe. Is there something I can do for you?"

Eclipse stared at Shadow with detachment. Seeing how it was quite boring sitting at this almost empty table, he decided to make some conversation. As if uncomfortable with the pleasantries he spoke gruffly, "Shadow, why did you choose to come on this journey?" Eclipse spoke casually though and hoped it hadn't come off too intruding. Which was saying something because Shadow's ability to intrude on other's minds was his talent.

His reverie broken Shadow turned towards Eclipse. He probably should've stayed focused but he was among allies, so he had somewhat of an excuse. Still having not heard Eclipse question fully he looked into his own memory, pulling the words out of his subconcious. Why was he here... He hadn't thought of it much, he thought it was just for the excitement, but no, now he thought it must have been something more...

After a few moments Shadow finally answered, his voice drifting into Eclipse mind. "Good question, and one I'm not completely sure of. Excitement? No, probably not that, I could've easily found other ways for that. It was probably something within me that knew that this was my chance, to, well, to become more. Or maybe it was boredom, I'm really not completely sure..."

And that he wasn't, boredom, something within him, really he didn't know, at least not for sure. It was something he would have to start thinking about though, maybe thinking of why he was here, on this journey, would help him, at the very least it would give him more knowledge, and for a psion that was always a good thing.

"Excuse me," Eros attempted, "if you wouldn't mind...could I ask you to distance yourself from here? This place, you see...well, you shouldn't be here. Nobody should, especially not if they're looking for someone. I implore you, stay outside." The chances of anyone even still being inside - alive - were probably slim, as Eros saw it. Anybody this man may have been meeting would probably have gotten the right idea and head elsewhere.

Thanatos laughed his eerie, hissing laugh. The words leaking from his "mouth" spoke exactly what was on Eros' mind - in more or less words, "There's no point in going in, you see. Anyone in there is dead. And another life is not in wait for them. Leave. My brother can aid you, if you're looking for someone. I, on the other hand, have true business inside the library." Eros' look told him what his brother was thinking.

"It's doubtful, Eros. But go with him anyway. He looks like he would want the company more than myself."

Matthew spoke barely a whisper as he remarked upon the situation "Interesting..." Could the girl have been injured? From what he remember, she had been made of much tougher stuff than that. "I'm sorry gentlemen, but the only escorting either of you two might be giving me, is further into that building. If sh..." he quickly cut himself off, depending on how he said this could show a sign of weakness. "My client is inside, and they owe me a hefty sum. Even if they are dead, I daresay they still might have some sort of valuables on them." Matthew turned on his right heel and without another word entered the once proud library. He hoped that he wouldn't run into any... Matthew saw before him a rather massive red dragon... could the dragon be the source of all this anarchy? Matthew quickly took a battle ready position, and just as quickly he noticed that this dragon somehow seemed familiar...

"Well, looks like we're doing things his way. Is that really so bad, Thanatos?" Eros spared a glance to the cloaked man beside him. No reply. "We'll just have to make the best of it, then. And even so, he might be--" Something told Eros he'd said enough. Anything more was better left unsaid. At least, that's what Thanatos would think.

"We follow. Move." Without delay, Thanatos followed his own orders. Into the library once more, hundreds of eyes taking in it's burning splendor. Some of the flames had been doused, however...not that that would be a problem. The building hadn't been his target - that was simply the means to attract attention to his cause. Queen Aurala had already repaid to Eberron what she owed.

Bowing his head in respect and shame, Eros whispered quick prayers for the dead. It tore at his heart that the innocent of Sharn had been made to suffer, but Thanatos had remained steadfast in his mindset that this must be done. A sighed escaped from Eros, accompanied by a tear from one eye. "Forgive him."

Raithe stood in the doorway, leaning on the frame with he shoulder. Her arms were folded across her chest, and her one leg crossed the other so that she had to use the door for support. Her green eyes were narrowed in suspicion as she watched him and her hand toyed with one of the belt buckles on her arm.
"Nothing," She replied quietly, then after a pause added, "Just making sure you know what you're doing." If there was one thing Raithe couldn't stand, it was a badly cooked meal. She could eat it easily enough, and had to on many occasions, but only when the opportunity for better food wasn't available. This wasn't one of those times, and she wanted to make sure that she if she had to wait here, she was going to get a decent meal.

William winked at Raithe as he gathered up his myriad of ingredients and cooking utensils. "Raithe, I've been cooking since before I knew I had magic and in addition to an entire year I dedicated to not using magic. Not to mention that many cooking spells make a 'perfect' meal, in my youth I preffered the natural route for creating meals. Needless to say I was the source of much jealousy in my days before becoming an archsage..." noticing perhaps the fact that Raithe didn't get his last point he addded gracefully, "Well in my youth I was devoid of vows, so were my colleagues. Somehow I was able to woe women with my cooking. Well at least that's what I've always surmized. Many of my colleagus were unable to, as possible prospects for archsages, we can not offer any commitment to people." His once matter of fact tone turned to one of longing, and his face became one mrked with a frown. "Yes, I do so miss human contact..." Wiiliam spoke inbetwee chopping his huge selection of vegetables, and starting the fire for his soon to be stupendous meal.

"Perhaps power?" Eclipse seemed to cut in, but his voice seemed hopeful in a way. Looking for reassurance. At first he had truly believed it had been the simple curiosity of finding someone powerful enough to create such a divine letter. Now he knew that somewhere inside he craved the power... not the outer power, but the inner power to overcome his own fears, and finally lie down for his final rest. Funny, Eclipse had always assumed that this letter was offering a power that could make him defeat enemies more skillfully and quickly. Maybe the power was the journey... Eclipse awoke from his stupid tangent, Ivellios was an adversary, and had to defeated. He had no underlining good meaning for this quest. Eclipse also realized that Shadow had just responded to his question...
