Karmic love??? confused I don't know what that is. personally, I'd take a stand. I'm not sure what on. I wouldn't believe in myself. I find it a foolish thing to believe in. I am nothing. God is everything. Therefore I believe in God. That way I know I will not fail. Because I am not relying on something that is feeble and will break.

oh! It was about religion!!! ...... I feel really stupid..... I believe in a mix. That's what my stand is. in a way, I am taking a stand on my own beliefs. Just because I'm not following the crowd doesn't mean I'm not following a system of beliefs. For example, I believe that most of the commandments should be followed, but I don't believe in the stories or this god. Then there are my own beliefs. I believe in humility. I believe in it so much that I avoid anger and greed as much as possible, to avoid the three worst problems in the world, that all result in death. I believe in the power of the individual, but that power will only go so far unaided, so I am in the middle, but that is not to say I have not taken a stand.

I didn't make a stand on either because I agree that it is not a black and white issue because it is very hard for anybody to be an absolute. In society no one can just be focused on oneself and their survival alone because of the consequences of stepping on others incurs, therefore unless you're out in the middle of nowhere you are tied to the others in society in order to survive outside of jail. And if you only care about philanthropy and karmic love then you are going to get stepped on by the people who don't and karma wont occur.

Everyone has some belief in ones' self, no matter how inadequate. Without first being a survivalist, we would not be here today. It is due to being a survivalist that karma kicks in to tip the balance; a little as the saying is "... what goes around, comes around." So, in retrospect, I am both a survivalist and philanthropist; yet, I am to not stand on either since I'm more or less on the middle line. Well, there's a time for everything and definately when it comes to making a stand or not. In the end, I cannot allow myself to be justified as any of those three; for a person is more than words. 8D
Though, I understand where you're all coming from; afterall, we're not set with equal limitations so one person is bound to have quite a different belief, but it is limited that subjecting someone to ones' ideas are entirely wrong. What you are is who you choose to be.

I'm definitely a philanthropist. I care about and love other people in the hopes that it will not only help them, but put them in a position to care about and love someone else. sort of like that movie "Pay It Forward." the one with the kid from AI.

I would say both. I want to do what makes me healthy and happy while possibly ignoring others but not at the expense of others. I feel compassion for all living things and want to do things to benefit everyone. I am both. I guess I would be three. Not out of indecisiveness but instead the opposite. I think in order to care for everyone strongly and do things to help everyone you must care for yourself and do things to help yourself. The amount you love yourself limits the amount you can love other people. Unfortunately, this does not work the other way around, and there are plenty of people immensely in love with themselves but with no feelings for anyone else.

I have always believe that I am responsible for my future. I admire people who believe in Karma though. I have tried thinking like that, but it wasn't me. I am just naturally a survivalist, I suppose razz

At times... I wish more people were like that. It's never fair to blame the result of your own actions of fate or karma or the like.
