Getting a 240sx and adding the AWD of a skyline will be as much in not more in custom parts and labor then a R33 GTR in the US

I've seen one LS1 in a FC RX-7...bad a**

Online a LS1 in a 240sx, also BAD a**! But many other engines will work in the 240sx, SR20, RB20, RB25, RB26, RB30, CA18, VG35, other non Nissan is the Surpa engine...seen a few other's can't remember.

BTW: I love my Kouki, I just love the overall stuff you can do with a 240sx, included front end conversion's...silvia, 180sx, 240sx...some you can even make like a Z car.

yeah i figured id screw the whole awd thing and stick rwd.

whats the differences between the ls1 ls2 and ls3?

how much would it take to do a conversion (I'm not going. I'm just curious)

My reasoning for the LSx motors is. all motor 340hp for 2k no boost, no problems. ... LS1 - LS2 - LS3? Stick with LS1 or LS6 because theyhave many good interchangeable parts and are cheaper.

Any motor will do. Believe it or not the RB26 in bigger then an LS1 and it fits.

research it, for example~~

ls1 is a 5.7L
ls2 is a 6.0
ls3...google I'm not a huge GM fanboy I work for Nissan right now

a front end conversion can cost little to lots. depends if you go cross gen, make it a S13.4, a S13 with a S14 front or another is S13.5 same but with a S15 front. the most done for a S13 is a JDM Silvia or 180sx kouki(later) Most with the S14 go to a Kouki front or go S15, parts are easier to fit.

then paint. all can be done for 500 to 1500 with paint. depends how much parts you find matched.

If you are looking for AWD, I suggest a Evo 9, or a WRX. Just for parts availability and overall tuneabilty. Main thing I drive the 240 in summer and I have a Legacy wagon for winter, that handles anything WI can whip out.

hmm, cool, how do you end up working for nissan or honda or something.

you know I would go for the evo or the wrx since they are just about the sexiest things stock and lowered plus id love them for the snow, but I don't know much about them. So far I have only heard gosip that the evo isn't reliable according to my brother and his friends. I don't believe what he says, but Idk if his friends are accurate. I should read about them since at one point I wanted them both but realized I won't afford them anytime soon. (depending on what an associates degree in psychology does for me)

I went to Auto school for one year and got some training provided that is Nissan specific. And found a job, my boss has been paying for me to get some other training through Nissan. I love working on cars, and ever since I've ownd the 240sx I wanted to work on Nissan's.

only big Evo thing is crank walk...and that can be very bad. then again Subaru's aren't the best...the STI has a problem with piston #4 ringlands cracking only some years.

and both have turbo problems from lack of oil changes or just getting to hot and not letting cool down.

Ah i see, how do you prevent crank walk?

So glad you folks worked this out without me. I'm having difficulty convincing a guy who works with me that trying to get a Skyline is a bad idea at least for someone like him.

I keep seeing people around me who are not exactly in the best position in life try to do this because they think they can be like me and it doesn't end well. I don't get it- is it reverse psychology? Because I keep trying to demoralize them into getting an actual car they can afford and for some reason I'm still inspiring them to do stupid crazy import crap. stressed

give him options that better suit his/hers passion. For example: I recently like driving in snow so i started liking the subaru imprezas and since my lexus gs400 got stuck in snow i dont like them anymore.
i like circuit racing and hate drag racing, so now i like the corvette z06 over any skyline.
normally im not a american car guy, but the parts are more convenient and i like convenience.
Myabe you are trying to hard lol let him/her ******** up or learn at his/hers pace so. He/she might change their mind by them self.
Oh another reason why I got away from skylines is it is more accepted. As dumb as that sounds, its very rational. All my life, no ones ever been able to tell me anything about foreign cars, my auto-mechanic teacher in high-school only new american muscle (so he claims). Also my dad didnt like bmws and all that foreign s**t since hes owned cars and had bad experiences.
throw some simple stuff and most of all.....and i speak from experience, act like you don't care on what we choose just make the person create their own ignorance, lol worked on me!!! XDDD
