Furious Intensity
I haven't vented about this yet, but I'm feeling some kind of way so I'm gonna get it off my chest.

Last July I was coming home from my kickboxing gym walking down the same street I always walked down, minding my own buisness and being a little care free.

I look behind me and I notice four little dudes following me(By little I mean 14-16), now they where all like 5'4, 5'5, 120 lbs, skinny, so I'm thinking...I'm about to knock all there asses the F@#$K out. I let them get up on me with it in my head that they where gonna try to jump me or something.

They where asking me If I knew where to get some weed at or something so I called em out on on their bullshit. It was like 12:00 at night no way in hell they where walkin up on me four deep lookin for some weed.

So I cross across the street the cross over infront of me a decent ways ahead so I'm thinking maybe they know they'll get they a** whooped. Dude is just like "F@#$ this s**t" pulls out a 32 cal, one of the other one's pulls out a 22 and he tells me to give him my phone and then empty my pockets out. I kinda got the feeling I was gonna be shot no matter what tho ( They weren't wearing masks or anything and I saw all their faces) but I tossed him my phone like he told me to.

I saw a car coming across the street, mind was racing and I was thinking "Maybe if I run infront of the car, they'll start shooting and hit the car." So I take off dude with the 32 fires off twice, one hits me in the back and the other graces my arm. I turn around when I get across the street, of course I had to see them laughing at me and calling me a b***h and all that before they ran off.

When I got home and collapsed in pain on the floor I couldn't help but think why the ******** did I try to fight four dudes at night by myself. Sometimes it really isn't worth it no matter what you're training in or how tough you are, a lot of time's it's best to leave it alone.
here may be a very simple idea for you to utilize in the future, and may help with your overall issues.

the phone i your poket is a very powerful weapon when utilized properlly. When they started approaching you, pull it out and proceed to start talking on it, describing the area, naming street signs, and definatly make sure you add in the multiple people approaching you aggressivly, and begin to describe them in appearence. Adds a bit of mystery on you part, and the people aggresivly approaching you wont know of your bluff. What they do know is, that you sighted them, and are on the phone with SOMEBODY. let them roll it around in their brains....could be the cops, could be your own squad...could be nobody. But what did happen is you are able to make the idea of approaching you, or simply being around you, alot less of a good idea

I also agree with winter. Guns and firearms, as unfortunate as it is to say these days, IS the martial art of our era. You need to be well versed in them, simply to know how to disarm an opponent if they carry one. Never look for a fight, and never want to test your skills on the street. Mushashi Miyamoto, the sword saint of japan, stated that the "highest principle of the martial arts is to never use them." I think you can take alot from that idea
