I'd have to say my favorite Final Fantasy is VIII , I love in depth the characters are as well as the verity. It was my favorite since the moment I first had a chance to play it and I grew up with it basically. I loved Squall and how I could relate to him quite a fair bit and not only that I admired the relationship Squall and Rinoa had even if it was slowly developed that let you see it bloom before your eyes over time. At first it was as if she annoyed him but gradually over time she actually made him open up more than he had expected. The only thing I didn't like about VIII was the fact that the combat system wasn't balanced exactly.. you could spam your GFs (summons for those who have never played) and almost use them through out the entire game for battles with an exception to significant monsters, why waste time? oh and also near the end of the game as well for a little bit. Another thing I loved about this game was the card game, I loved collecting all the cards that I could get my hands on including the rarest of rare character and GF cards.
