Muko approached in the deep of night. He had spent time to remove the smell of the Valkyries form his person. He wished to make his appearance as uncomfortable for the wolves. They relied heavily on smell and their sixth sense to feel out an enemy-- Muko would be a mystery beyond mystery for the creatures.
He made his approach as obvious as he felt was needed, he did not attempt to sneak in. Although at this time it would be difficult for the wolves near-perfect night vision to pick out his figure due to his cloak. It was not until he was within talking distance that most would be able to keep track of his person.
However with the wolves he kept sword in hand-- for some had some odd hatred for his kind. He would use a different tactic with the wolves than he had with the others. Where logic, reason, and emotional appeals worked best with many the wolves were wild. Their emotions could lead to any number of outcomes, their logic often fell to preservation of their traditions.
No Muko would once more be straight forward. Offer them a violent war to enjoy, perhaps an alliance with the thieves, and lastly he was ready to show himself capable of leading the assault.

Brotan stood as he realized he had spotted movement that seemed to defy the wind. Again he noticed it, closer. The large werewolf was unsure what to thing. The movements were unnatural but the source was unable to be spotted. He could smell nothing odd, nor feel anything. This was wrong. Again, what is this. If this were an assault the creature would not take a direct path. Again! Brotan muttered a word and a long sword appeared in his hand. "Show thyself, creature," Brotan roared, moments before Muko stepped into view.
"What manner of creature attempts to enter my home under the blanket of night?" Brotan was unsure what was before his eyes. Pale skin, scars, clothing, scentless, noiseless, and without a presence. No ghost felt as this one does, it was new. As if air were before him, Brotan refused to close his eyes and see how accurate the concept was. "Speak before you lose throat," Brotan took one step forward attempting to get into a better footing should things turn to battle. The creature held a blade in hand, and from quick glances Brotan was sure the creature could wield it with deadly skill.

Muko stepped farther into the light of the fire, allowing the wolf to have a more enlightened view of himself. "Greetings Brotan, I have come to speak to you and yours. There is a war brewing and I wish to have you and your's on the right side." Muko smiled, knowing that Brotan would wish to lead the armies. "For now I will be heading the assault on the Demons, they have stepped on many toes recently and will need to be dealt with appropriately-- I wish there to be no worry of them repeating their mistakes in the future." Muko held his blade loosely in his hand, ready to deflect the brutes weapon should he attack.
Muko knew little of the wolf before him, though what he heard did not bode well for Muko in a fair fight between the two of them. Though Muko suspected his speed would give him an advantage if the wolf transformed.

Anne trotted about the camp, not sure as to where she were to go. She was new to Invictus, and even newer to the clan. Plus, being a witch-fox-wolf hybrid thing didn't set her off on the right foot. She was an Omega of the pack, not being a pureblooded lycan and all. She was tempted to leave to explore the city, since nothing seemed to be appealing here in the wolves area, but she figured it would be best to get to know the area.
As a wolf now, she sniffed around for an area to lay and sleep, most areas having already been claimed. She found a small patch of moss and lichen to lay down on, looking around at the other members of the clan, walking about doing away with their business. She figured she best stay out of peoples way for a while, or at least until she got to know some people in the area and get used to the new environment.
Her ears perked up only a few minutes later, she had heard little trails of conversations way off about the new war that was to come soon between...demons? She already knew about the war between the vampires and them, but this was new to her. "Demons..." she huffed, this place got more and more interesting by the minute.

Brotan frowned as he was able to see the creature more clearly. It was tall for a humanoid, a little over six-- still a few inches shorter than Brotan was though. It was also easy to tell the creature was athletic, bordering on bulky. It had wide shoulders, not thick arms but most likely dense and wiry. It would be fast and stronger than it looked, if Brotan allowed it to get too close it would be able to outmaneuver and beat Brotan much easier. "You ignore my question," Brotan stated-- the words for a battle dagger on the tip of his tongue. In a sword match it could go either way, but should It get close and pull out a dagger Brotan wished to be ready for a brawl.
Brotan himself was nearly three hundred pounds when in human form, standing four inches short of seven feet tall, he was as wide as a dwarf at the shoulders but his mass was not formed in a way that would impeded movement like many. His muscle formation was for that of a warrior, not a strongman.
Brotan was interested in savaging the Demons, though he expected the creature before him wished to have his aid-- and for that Brotan would demand something in return. Once his involvement was set in stone Brotan would judge the creatures merret to lead.

Muko frowned, he had hoped to avoid this. "I am from a different..." He could not think of how to explain. "My race is, in some ways, analogous to your vampires. Though we don't follow such strict... conditions." Muko could not think of a better way to explain it, for it was not a concept this language could easily comprehend.
"To put it simply, I am nothing you have seen or dealt with before-- I assure you. Now, more importantly, what do you want for your aid in the coming campaign? I am not with the Vampires, I am with... well I represent the interests of the shadier parts of the city." Muko never liked the term 'thieves guild'. It was inaccurate, petty, and too straight forward for such a shadowy organization. "Perhaps a more direct alliance would be more appropriate? Me and mine would be willing to form a loose alliance. Insuring that should either of our respective interest turn this pile of s**t city into the dull, s**t stained diamond it could be we will keep each others interests in mind? Seeing as how our interests have no need to at odds." Muko would be sure to win this, for the physical combat to come would be less than ideal for himself.

Getting bored of just lying around the camp and waiting for something to happen, Anne decided she would make something happen on her own. Getting up and choosing to go into the city, the girl scampered off in that direction.

Brotan wished to have no ties with any leeches, though he would enjoy a chance to tear into the Demons. "Keep your offer, we will have nothing to do with your leeches," Brotan referred to the mans faction. Although he danced around what they were, it was obvious to Brotan. Thieves, beggars, cut-throats, and the like. The wolves would not dirty themselves with an alliance to such scum. However the man before him did not act like one of them, though from all appearances he would be very good at it.
No, something about this man was dangerous. Perhaps it was the unknown, the fake emotions the creature wore, the inability to feel it out. "However, In a war such as this, should one tested in combat not be the leader? Or shall my wolves be led by a..." with a pause Brotan searched for what to use, "Member of the shadier parts of the city. I suggest that I, a battle-born, warrior lead." Brotan felt nothing from the creature, but assumed it had been expecting such a request.
The thought that this creature was prepared for Brotans request, that he was not surprised, nor feared approaching the camp alone, set a seed of fear in Brotans gut. There was nothing right about what stood before him, It was not of this world and it was out of place.
Brotan shifted his grip upon his weapon, and prepared to summon a shield. Brotan would take a safe start against this creature, for it could be capable of anything. Immediatly Brotan wished it were day, then realized it would not help as much as if the creature was truly a Vampire-- for it said itself it did not follow the same rules as a vampire. That meant Brotan was fighting in the dark, figuratively and literally. He was at a disadvantage in every way but size and home turf.

Muko shrugged, a little disappointed the wolves refused his alliance. As expected Brotan wished to take control, very well. "How shall we decide whom is more fit to lead in the coming campaign?" Muko tilted his head as if thinking "Perhaps a game of wits? Chess, or some other such game of skill?" Muko was positive he would win such a contest, perhaps the wolf was dumb enough to attempt it-- or arrogant enough to think he could win.
Muko wished to avoid a physical confrontation between the two, but was positive it would be the outcome.

Brotan was not sure what the creature was attempting to do; trick him into combat, or into a game of wits. Brotan had a head for combat strategy, however chess never appealed to him-- nor did other 'games of skill' or strategy. His best chance was to crush the creature before him, quickly and utterly. Brotan was not an honorable sort, he was a soldier. Not a knight, not some royal bred and raised pup. Brotan knew that there was no such thing as a fair fight in war-- and if the creature before him did not know this it would soon. Without a battle roar Brotan attacked, swinging his blade in as tight an arc as he could manage while summoning a shield into this left hand.
Brotan would fight as a human until he knew his opponent better, each transformation Brotan could go into had its own fighting style-- and each had its own weakness and strength. For now he would stick with the form that would make it harder for the smaller creature to out-maneuver him early on.

Muko brought his own blade up just in time to deflect the sudden strike, he was forced to throw much of his weight towards the strike to avoid being knocked over-- instead he was shifted a few feet. Although Muko usually talked at his opponents in an attempt to throw them off their game Muko made no attempt with Brotan, the fight would be too close Muko needed no distractions.
Muko hopped a few feet backwards, farther from the fire making his form harder to make out and regaining a fighting position. Muko was better martial artist than duelist, but he was far from a push over with a sword. He began to crouch into a combat stance, but was too late Brotan was already on him-- attempting to take any chance Muko had to catch his bearings.
((If anyone is wondering about why I'm posting that last part its because we did a mock battle over skype without all the fluff to get an idea how it would go. Now we are simply filling it out to be a little prettier and smoother. Soooo yeah there isn't any god modding here just a pre-determined fight.))

Brotan allowed the creature make its jump backwards, feigning that he would give it a second, but after a fraction of a second Brotan launched a furious assault accompanied by a battle roar that sent nesting birds into the skies. Brotans night sight was not perfect when in this form, far from to be honest. He could see in black and white, and even then it was not the sharpest. The creatures form was hard to judge based on any senses he had, so Brotan decided to keep on him. Keep close enough that he could feel where it was.
Brotan rained blow after blow upon the creature, and each one was deflected with the ease of a battle hardened fighter. This creature was not a push over, and it did not seem to be tiring. Although Brotan was sure his assault had kept it off balanced enough it could not counter attack very effectively. Brotan knew he had endurance to continue this for hours should he not gain any strength sapping injuries.
Then he felt it, along his right rib cage a cut had been opened. Brotan had not seen the attack which caused it, nor was it a serious gash. Perhaps it was just a graze, or some trick-- though Brotan felt no magic evoked from the creature. Than a second one, near the first-- but this time he saw the creatures pale left hand retreat back inside its cloak. That was it, the creature was throwing something at him. This time Brotan focused, waiting for when it repeated the action.

Muko had been on the retreat, each blow threatening to lift him from the ground should he not keep his balance-- each blow pushing him back a few feet. Muko was stronger than most, and could send blows like those Brotan hailed upon him should he try-- but it would not be with the same ease that the wolf seemed to have. Muko would have to try something else, the beast would likely be able to out-sustain Muko on this world-- Muko was unable to absorb energy like he wished nor did he have a large reserve.
Instead he decided to poison the b*****d, not with anything fatal-- to a wolf anyway. With a flick of his wrist he sent a needle out in between Brotans blows. The first bounced off his rib cage-- that was no good. It left a small gash, but most of the poison would likely not enter his blood stream. Waiting till an instant after the next blow Muko sent another. This one stuck, it would give a decent dose-- but not enough to have much of an effect on the mountain of muscle before him.
Muko did not wait long, the next blow he tossed another-- but this time Brotan spun dodging the needle and dropping low with a leg sweep. It would have been a wonderful move-- if Muko was not faster. Dropping his blade, tip down, Muko tackled the larger creature. Brotan was not off-balance, but he was also in no place of power. The sudden, and suprisingly powerful, tackle sent them both sprawling. Muko doubted he could win a skirmish like this should the man become a more beast-like form, but right now he had the upper hand.
Muko's hardened nails tore into the man, and he was able to get in a good elbow to the man's face before rolling away. Muko would win in a brawl, but not a wrestling match-- he did not have the mass. There was a sweet spot in range where Muko would win in a weaponless confrontation, but too close and he would loose-- too far and Brotan would summon a weapon and out-range him. So Muko quickly closed the distance before Brotan could swing his weapon.
As expected the man thrust out with his sword, Muko was able to deftly side step the blade. Bringing one hand along the blade itself he dragged his hardened nails along it to get some sort of grip. With his free hand Muko jammed a needle into the mans wrist and spun yanking on the weapon with his left arm while twisting the needle with his right. The outcome was one less weapon in his opponents hand.
Going with the momentum of his spin Muko brought his left elbow around, intending to supress the man with a blow to the small buckler he wore than bring his right around for a clean hit to the jaw. Too Muko's astonishment Brotan reacted quickly, releasing the blade without hesitation and simply bashing Muko away with his shield.
The blow left Muko off balance for a quick kick to his side that sent him sprawling-- though he was on his feet faster than a cat could have managed. Muko noticed the wounds in the Wolfs side had healed, though the large hole Muko left with the needle began to close slowly. Mentally Muko cursed, the beasts healing was stunted when in human form-- or it was simply slow. Either way the slower it took to heal the less poison would make it into his system, as blood pumped some of it out.
Once more to Muko's disappointment the wolf simply muttered a few words and another weapon appeared in his hand-- this one was a cruel looking axe. Disarming him had not been his main objective, though it was favorable-- or he had thought. At least it would cover up his true intent with the needle-- poison. Muko awaited his opponents next move, Muko rarely made the first move once a brawl had begun-- he preferred to strike first to begin a battle and cripple his enemy than simply wait to make small counter attacks till he could finish his opponent off. Brotan had taken the first move, so Muko was at quite the disadvantage in this fight-- the poison would be his only chance at winning this.

Brot'an was surprised at the speed and the tactics the creature used. It had gotten in close, something he had expected it to avoid. Beyond that it had more power than he expected, the elbow had smashed his nose it quite well.
Brot'an was annoyed at the ease with which he had been disarmed, it had happened so quickly he had little time to respond. His only choice had been to create some distance between them. Now blood streamed from his broken nose, his wrist was on fire, and he blow to the head had given him more of a headache than he had expected.
Now the creature stood just out of reach, hopping from foot to foot with its fists up. As if this were some common street brawl. Brot'an expected that should he fight like it was he would quickly lose. The creatures reflexes, style, and power were too great a combination in a hands to hands fight. Should Brot'an get a good hold on him and make it a grappling match he would be sure to win.
Its quickness to release its weapon and get in close showed it felt more confident in a brawl, so Brot'an would keep him at arms length and see if it would give him the upper hand.
Brot'an went to strike at the creature, but met thin air-- it had leap back into the shadows. Now Brot'an could not see it, taking a few steps back Brot'an got within range of the fire once more-- hoping he would not be caught off guard by the creatures trickery.

Muko waited for the brute to strike then disappeared into the darkness, hoping the image of the weapon swinging in front of the wolfs face would give him the time he needed. Now Muko set his trap, it would be the turning point in this fight. Muko repressed a grunt as he felt ribs moving back into place, the bastards strikes had ruined his ribs.
Muko took his time, a good five minutes passed before he was ready. The entire time Muko watched as the brute broke out into a sweat. Then he suddenly started screaming, as if struck by pain. Muko was struck back by the sudden break in silence, and did not react fast enough to take advantage of the opening as the man before him turned into a large wolf.
Muko quickly pulled his trap, it was simple but would give him an opening he hoped. Muko pulled the string that caused a small noise to be made on the other side of the wolf, then he lept-- but instead of striking, as he intended, Muko dove for his weapon.
The wolf lept to the side, to Muko annoyance, but it still gave him time to grab his weapon and roll to his feet before the wolf could strike. Muko dropped to a low stance, and prepared to fight the enormous beast with a ill-fit weapon.
