LordOmnit's Misfits
Name: Sarest Lazraiel KatoGender: Male
Race: Human blessed by Primal Spirits
Age: Sixteen
Sexual preference: Straight
Appearance: As suchHair color: Ashy white
Eye color: Cinnabar
Height: 5' 9"
House: Kilndar
Rank/Position: Slave #43
Personality: Sarest tends to not talk much beyond responding to orders or asking questions if allowed and necessary. He also doesn't try much to stand out or get much notice, having observed the ruthlessness inherent in Drow society and finding it likely to be safer at lower, but favored status. His observant and quiet side, however, hides an anger that bubbles at the base of his mind that he has never quite understood, as though it was the lava of a volcano underneath a normally peaceful plain.
History: Sarest's origins are shrouded in mystery as his mother died not long after his birth and he was never informed much of her, being raised by her sister and family. He enjoyed a more or less unextraordinary life in a large tribe devoted to the primal ways of the wild. However, even though he wasn't anyone special in the tribe when it came time for his coming of age ceremony at the age of twelve the shaman looked into his eyes and quaking in fear, cried out and fell backwards. The elders of the tribe convened behind closed doors immediately upon a word from the shaman and within an hour they seized Sarest and gave him one day to say farewell to his family. He was told to leave the tribe and not return until he had taken control of a shadow that shrouded his soul, claiming it was the curse of Grethel- his mother.
+He left, utterly confused, having barely known his mother's name because of a taboo, but now knowing that she also was associated with some curse. He was not cautious and ran afoul a caravan of Rakshasa slavers and was captured by them as they were heading into the Underdark. He impressed them with his cunning, however, and was taken by their leader as a toy, being forced to constantly fight against his Rakshasa owners. For half a year this continued until he crippled one of the warriors and was then sold off to the Kilndar house because to the Rakshasa a slave that harmed his superior was bad luck, but their greed prevented them from killing a trading item.
+Sarest learned his lesson from his Rakshasa masters and did nothing to distinguish himself as a capable slave other than completing his tasks well. His time with the Rakshasa had been the first time he learned of the anger that lay deep beneath the surface of his heart, but he buried that after seeing how truly chaotic and evil Drow society was beneath their surface similar Rakshasas' greed and decadence. He was given to LiNeeerafae for her exploits and seems to have found some sort of favor with her, even if he were only an amusing toy again.
Other: Nothing at der moment
Name: PellothGender: Male
Race: Drow
Age: Sixty-two
Sexual preference: Straight
Appearance: What's likelihood of getting this close on the first try?Hair color: White (not black like in the picture)
Eye color: Azure
Height: 5' 3"
House: Aleanrae
Rank/Position: House Archmage
Personality: A very un-Drow-like person who is able to get along just fine in Drow society would be the best way to describe Pelloth. He doesn't engage as directly in the intrigue and plotting between the houses even though he is involved, but allows himself to be used as a weapon of destruction. However, describing him as mad or raging would be a fault; you only need to glance into his eyes to know that he is always elated almost to the point that you would think him insane. His movements outside of his orders, however, are as steeped in mystery as one could find in a Drow city because he goes everywhere he is allowed practically, but never seems to do anything besides wander until he is summoned.
History: Originally born into a now destroyed house, Pelloth was at once known to all magically sensitive upon his birth. This subsided soon after, but the house he was born into was under the protection of another so he was safe for a time. However, such a perceived threat brought the small house down before even a decade was up, but Pelloth survived as an orphan due to his great power. Because he impressed the matron of Aleanrae house he was adopted by her and trained to be a sorcerer; instead of teaching or having him taught the usual wizardry he just was taught to bring out his magic by force of emotion and will. However, even though at his birth it was foreshadowed he would be a terribly powerful mage, he didn't show much more than being just strong. This was good enough for him to be brought along as a cannon on raids.
+Even though he is still not particularly old for a Drow, he gained notoriety that arose less from his power, since there were plenty still more powerful than him at first, and more from his survivability. When travelling deeper into the caves he was once captured in one of Torog's torture pits and endured an entire year before escaping and returning on the very day he was to be finally killed. Similarly impressive was when the raiding group he was with blundered into a battle between aboleths and mindflayers, but he led the group to safety. However, the defining moment in Pelloth's life for himself was when he went on his first surface raid and a storm that seemed ready to sunder the very earth forced the party into hiding in a mountain cave. The only one who didn't go in was Pelloth as he stood out and marveled at the unbridled power and chaos of the storm, wanting it for himself. From that point on the man practiced in secret to recreate the fury he saw on the surface since there were rarely such things in the Underdark that could compare to the power he saw in the sky that day. When he returned he was finally the sorceror foreshadowed at his birth, but was also a changed man.
+His house, Aleanrae, is important for the city because it provides over three-quarters of the slaves to every other house. Not only that, but it is the largest in sheer number, but on the other side the house speciallizes in taking slaves, so their skills in fights to the death are less than adequate. It is said that it takes three Aleanrae warriors to match one of other houses, except for some of the higher ranked who seem to match in strength of their equivalents in houses of similar rank. The only exception is Pelloth whom some whisper- when they can't be heard by the city Archmage- could be the strongest mage in the city, and it is exactly these whispers that make such an otherwise weak house fifth in the city.
Other: biribiri
Name: Diviirmma KilndarGender: Female
Race: Drow
Age: 363
Sexual preference: Straight
Appearance: [X]Hair color: Platinum
Eye color: Indigo
Height: 5' 5"
House: Kilndar
Rank/Position: First Daughter, High Priestess, Headmistress of the Priestess' School
Personality: A singularly vicious specimen of drow, only truly holding power in esteem and being cruel beyond belief of even some of her kin. While she isn't some kind of machine of destruction, it is not uncommon for her to simply murder someone in an impromptu sacrifice for displeasing her. All her actions are taken in the pursuit of power in a manner so as to follow Lolth's tenants.
History: First daughter of the current Kilndar matriarch and in no small way anything less. She survived any number of attempts on her life, hardening her beyond even the harsh environment she was raised in had. Even as her younger sisters were born, she maintained her high status through power and achievement, stealing from them every opportunity she could to increase her own name. Eventually, as she rose up into the priestess ranks she birthed a draegloth- a demon/drow hybrid- and in a testament to her power and favor this occurred two more time in the many years of her influential life; when these powerful children of hers aren't standing with her on guard they patrol the Kilndar house or sometimes drift to-and-fro in nearby caves sharpening their claws on whatever living thing is unlucky enough to come across them. Her lust for power never sated, however, Diviirmma used her own body to create many more soldiers to support her such as driders, and sons and daughters from powerful drow men. However, despite the obviously large power of her elite faction within the Kilndar house she has neither taken any action against her mother, nor does she seem to be involved in any plots or subterfuge- rather unusual for one of her position.
Other: She appears to have in the past few years developed very bad blood with Archmage Pelloth Aleanrae. The trouble seems to be limited to between the two individuals and neither of the houses nor the individuals and the opposite house.
