"Hmm...?" he followed her gaze over to the tree. "This garden...it must have triggered something within your mind, no?" He recalled his own memories of his death returning when he visited the appartment conplex he and his sister lived in when they were alive. He stood and went over to the tree, touching it lightly. Yes, this tree has many memories to share with the world, he thought. He looked over to Ruka. "If you wish, we can run some more test back at the shop and see what we can find out."

D'kay appeared in the serene gardens, her spiritual pressure slowly fading by the second. She looks at the field of flowers where she originally encountered peace and tranquility. Her body slowly started to fade away slowly but surely.

"What was originally one had turned to into two. And the two eventually turned into one....and now that one will turn to zero...."

D'kay was referring to when she first went through the process of shinigamification. Her hollow self split into two beings. When the other half was sacrificed and only one remained the other would slowly but surely die off. The serene gardens is where the first half came to sacrifice itself in order to save the other for only a short amount of time.

"Well at least we both get to be together again after all. I guess I won't be lonely after all huh...you are my friend."

A single tear rolled down D'kay's face as her body was already gone. In a brief moment she remembered all the adventures and happy moment she went through in her life time. Just as she finally disappeared a flash of light appeared and she could be seen hugging and sharing a laugh with her other half.
