Cleric's Crossing: Boarding the NekoBasu

After the outrageously loud roar O Totoro used to summon NekoBasu, all Jikan can do was yield a expression of surprise.

What in the world is a NekoBasu? Considering the ackward events that followed today, sighting another strange event should no longer be a surprise.

Even so, with her limited knowledge on this, it still astounded her.

"Woow... a... NekoBasu?"

Her eyes widened in surprise, but then shook her head to rid of that face and looked towards the doors where she'll be boarding with the others.

Boarding inside the NekoBasu proved to be kind of nerve wracking (especially since it kind of baffled her that it is alive and a overgrown cat), but feeling the comforting hand on her shoulder from Kazuki assured that everything will be all right and nothing bad will happen as long as she moves forward.

After all, someone will be there right behind her when something bad happens, right?

Jikan gently smiled and boarded the NekoBasu.

"If this thing leads to an adventure... I hope it'll be a good one."

[Eee... Jikan wasn't too easy to write up right now, but here it goes. This should be interesting here on... man... I should watch Totoro @__@;...]

Enbi sighed, disgruntled at this whole silly state of affairs. Honestly, Sair was a powerful man with some powerful friends, but he clearly had no common sense! How logical was it, really, to have a summon exist purely for the sake of summoning another summon? In the end, neither of the summons would do much for the party that Howl or some other sort of teleportation method would accomplish! If this Clef was so adept in magic, why did he have to go to such great lengths to get around a simple teleportation spell?

It all made no sense to Enbi, but it wouldn't matter soon. He would have his cake and eat it too, as soon as the right opportunity presented itself on this trip. Where there were adventures, there were bound to be villains, and where there were villains, there'd be power in the hands of fools. In the worst case scenario, Enbi could easily overpower another in the party - maybe Jikan; she seemed the most useful to Sair - and demand power in exchange for life.

Enbi grinned to himself. "Well, everyone," he shouted into the night, fanning himself casually. "We're off on a new adventure!"

With that, he boarded the ridiculous cat bus and sat firmly by himself two seats back from the driver, hoping to catch whatever tidbits of conversation he could from Sair and his friends. He crossed his legs and smiled, preparing for the ride ahead.

"This is going to be such fun!"

Where most everyone is.
Zairx stood, shocked. As if the giant, furry creature with the cute wide eyes and huge grin wasn't enough, there was a CAT BUS. A CAT BUS!!!!! It was called... NekoBasu? Yeah. He ran up to it, inspecting it all around. It brought a grin to his face, and he afterwards looked at the NekoBasu's entrance. IT JUST... OPENED! ALL WEIRD LIKE!!! WHOO!
Zairx jumped inside, landing softly on the interior of the cat bus.

"This... is so.. COOL!" he said out loud, looking around inside the furry, giant kitty. He sat down, grinning, in a seat away from anyone who was currently in the bus already. He was already having fun, but there was noone to be there with him having all this fun... He suddenly became serious, and crossed his arms, looking out a window.

If you distance yourself from others, they wont just come and be your friend, Zairx...

WHOA! Who was THAT?
Intruder!

Zairx was too preoccupied thinking about when this field-trip to who knows where would start. Hopefully he would find Voice-in-mah-head (The intruding voice...) later...

Cleric's Crossing - Outside

Pheran shrunk together a second time as the giant furball roared.
Just what sort of adventure was that he'd gotten himself into.

As contrast to what he would have had to eexpcet back home, this adventure seemed to have a rather fluffy feel to it.

It took the boy a bit before he got up again to try to believe what he was seeing. That giant....animal.

In all his excitement about this strnage summon he ran up to the NekoBasu to pet it a little.
He'd heard one of the girl's asking if it was okay and Sair had replied that it was...at least that's how Pheran understood it.

Still, it seemed incredibly strange to him, that one would travel inside an animal, without being -and that wouldn't be a comfortable ride then anyway- eaten by it.

He hesitated a bit before entering.
"And you'll take us somewhere else?", he asked the NekoBasu mumbling, as he patted it a bit, even though he did not expect it to answer.
"Thank you."

With a wide smile he entered then. It looked just as weird inside as it did from the outside, and just as furry.

Some had already taken a seat,so he decided to do the same.
He wanted to be somewhere around the front, close to it's head, but he was to shy to ask the other one who already sat around there, Enbi, if he could sit next to him.

"Uhm..."
The boy tried to continue rising his voice but ended with nothing more but a slow "Nevermind..." as he sat down in the row on the other side of the NekoBasu.

Being that shy probably wasn't a good start for an adventure, since he knew that it was always best to work together, as a team, and for that sadly talking was required.

Even though all of a sudden everything seemed to have been going fast after he'd wasted so much time he could not quite believe it at all.
He did try to understand, but that left no space in his thoughts to wodner about what was lying ahead of them.

Enbi looked over at the boy that had approached him. Clocks began turning ever so quickly in his mind. So, this boy wanted to sit next to him, eh? That much was obvious. It looked like the bait was coming willingly to him - how convenient! Sure, this one was no Jikan, but he would do just fine for someone as compassionate as Sair. Indeed, this would do nicely...

"Hello," Enbi said with a welcoming smile. "What were you going to say just now? You know, I don't bite. You can sit next to me if you like." To emphasize his point, he scooted over and pat the seat next to him with his fan.

Enbi nodded warmly. "Really, it's quite alright. You're welcome to come sit with me, if you like. I'd love the company."

Mari-Chii Bowed to the NekoBasu and O Totoro. Truelyspirts of the divine.

"Thank you both for letting us travel" She said to them before stepping inside the furry oversized cat spirt.
It was strange. Mari-Chii hoped that the thing didn't eat any of them. She saw Pheran and smiled.
"Pheran-kun I see your quick to make new friends." she smiled sitting behind him and Enbi. somthing about the boy beside Pheran gave Mari-Chii the shivers.
"So what's you name? After all if we're all going on this adventure might aswell try and get along...even with those of a less indearing nature" She said quickly glacing at Sirius. He was too loud of the red haired girl's taste.

Mari-Chii wondered about what the adventure was. Sair didn't answer her when she asked about it. I still have to give him a kick for that She thought.

NekoBasu

Pheran had just only sat down when he heard Enbi talk to him and looked up.

"Really?"
The boy was interested in finding out more about the people taking part in this adventure, yet he was unsure.

Alright, he'd been in the cafe with some, and already Mari-Chii felt so close to him, like a sister, but he'd just only met this man a few minutes ago.
He figured that worrying wouldn't be of any use and taking too long thinking, not htat he was much of a great thinker, would be rude.

Besides, Enbi seemed like a pretty nice and warm person to him too...
"Th...Thank you very much!", he hurried over to the other site to take his seat.
Before he did though, he bowed a little bit before giving Enbi a happy smile.
"I'm Pheran Choumo, Thank you so much!"

When Mari-Chii entered just as he sat down again, he almost blushed at her comment about him making friends so fast.

"I don't know....", he mumbled as he did not want her to stop in mid-sentence.
He wasn't too sure that it was him making friends with others, more like others making friends with him.

"Ah," Enbi said rather calmly as he turned to face the new girl. "My name is Myoukei Enbi, but you can simply call me Enbi. I am training to be a Gishi Priest, and right now I am taking a pilgrimage to continue my training, but a little adventure never hurts!" he said enthusiastically, fanning himself once more. Boy, this furry cat was ROASTING on the inside!

He looked at Pheran, then back to the girl. "So, you two seem to know each other well," he half-murmured curiously. Two hostages were always better than one, but Pheran's little friend had quite a mouth on her, and the intellect to match. "What are your names?" He already knew Pheran's name, as the newcomer had referred to him as "Pheran-kun," but he didn't want to seem too presumptuous or forward to Pheran - not yet, anyway.

He looked over to Sirius once more. "Oh yes," he said, almost forgetting the new girl's words. "Sora over there seems rather inept, wouldn't you say?" He chuckled to himself, fanning his face with a fervor that seemed too much for even this heat.

"He's far too loud and should treat spirts with more respect" Mari comented to Enbi While taking a quick glance at Sirius
"My name is Mari-Chii Dakarai. I'm a trainee Artist from the world of Gaia O " The girl repiled. Her "Job" seemed so un impressive comapred to the young priest's job.
She felt glad that she had bought a small bottle of water from the cafe right before they left. The NekoBasu's inside was very hot.
Mari-Chii took it out and took a sip out of it.
"Thirsty?" She asked Pheran and Enbi. Holding out the bottle.

City of the Fates: NekoBasu

Jikan's eyes widened to see it move so quickly and also from hearing the announcement.

"Where did that voice come from?" questioned Jikan.

Peering out through the window from her seat, wind seems to be in creation from the NekoBasu and apparantly, the bus is invisible from the outside world. This astounded Jikan greatly, but figured as much from a powerful* summoned spirit.

Facing back towards the seat in front of her, she decided to move closer to the edge of her seat and peer at everyone else with several of them already astounded just like her.

[*Powerful = Large and able to summon or cast something like NekoBasu. This is from Jikan's point of view.]

Enbi looked over to the bottle of water. "Why, certainly I am! Thanks so much for the offer," he exclaimed, taking the bottle abruptly and drinking a long swig from the container. As he gulped down the last of the refreshing beverage, he blurted out, "Nice to meet you, Ms. Dakarai. Any idea when we'll get to that Eagle place that the strange voice spoke of?"

He looked over to Sair; the man seemed rather cheerful that such a journey was commencing. Clearly, something was to be gained on his part for such a voyage - what could it be? Enbi was sure that a man with power like Sair had rather high goals set for himself, and whatever it was he wanted, it would probably make him stronger. Enbi didn't know exactly what it was, but he knew that he himself wanted it now just as badly.

And he would have it.

But back to more immediate matters. "So, Pheran," he said to the naive youth. "What's your story? You seem like a fairly capable young man - calm, intelligent - how is it you are on this trip, too?"

Flattery was the key to anyone's heart, Enbi had learned. Compliment people, and they're sure to follow your every whim. He fanned himself with a bit more irritation now; WHEN would they get there already?
