.... there's no entry fee, is there?
And entry fee for an RP? D:
Do people seriously do that?
Well, if they ever fix engraving, I might host an avatar-item based dungeon-diving RP complete with things like "hexxed bracelets" and "+5 helmet of light" and "leprechaun-summoning skirt" ... and I might charge an entry fee, but items "found" during the course of the RP would be keepable, with there being an actual worth-something "treasure" at the end of it.
So having an entry fee would help with the cost of running such an RP.
But really, I'm much too lazy to actually run such a thing, so oh well.
...
Though.
It might work out in Towns. Set up a map based off a set section of town map sections, predetermine certain item locations, while simultaneously running a RP thread or an AIM chat room, where we log things like dice rolls and in-depth descriptions of things like monsters and/or item effects.
We could get people to wear costumes and hide behind houses or trees and attack parties as they pass.
Hell. We could even get people involved in things like sitting in their houses or just out under a tree in a neighborhood, and giving the adventurers tips or helpful items.
Like, the adventurer could walk into a house, and if they see a giftwrapped box, they can look up that person's profile, and if there's a codeword present, and if so, PM that user to claim the box.
But yeah, I'm good at brainstorming such things, but too lazy to actually do anything with the idea.
