“Summers Coming”

My 9th grade year of school is coming to an end
I don’t know if I should be glad or sad
I have made so many new friends
I don’t know if I’m ready to leave them for many months
I have learned so much
When it comes to my self
And other emotions and games
I am ready for being the night owl I was born to be
But I’ll miss hanging out with my crushes
The arms that wrap around me in a hug
All of the talking and laughing
I will not miss my stalker of an ex
But so many things out weigh that annoyance
My ex friend has been quite an experience
But I have met so many people besides her
Got in touch with an buddy
And realized guys can only be friends and be fine with it
Schools almost out for the summer
Sounds fun going to California
But what about the courtyard which is now so familiar
The teachers who I have grown to liking
What will my sophomore year bring?
More drama? Harder classes? More jerks?
I have no clue
I hope I can get my confidence up
So when I enter the doors again
I can hold my head up high and
Concur my nerve-racking fears
Who knows?
I’m ready for summer and to leave something’s behind
Also ready to look ahead at a brand new school year
