If Yossarian knew just what she was thinking about right then, there was no doubt his stomach would've done the very same-- but anyway, he had tea to finish up quickly, and bedding to roll up, and a few bags to drag back into their proper place... all before the sun got much higher, which was going to take quite a bit of bustling.

"... Well, that's something we'll contemplate upon arrival," was the last thing he said, not allowing himself to mull over the luxury any longer before his last swallow of tea and, finally, pry himself off the covers to start cleaning up after himself.

The dishes? Well, being metal as they were, just throwing them in the fire was really the easiest way to 'clean' them off-- following Caprician's example of doing so, naturally. The blankets, thin as they were, made for fairly easily bundling... and with a stomach filled to the brim, he had a newfound sort of vigor about him that he hadn't had in weeks prior.

It was definitely something he could stand getting used to again.

Finished with his (... third) bowl and tea, too, Takeshi was quick to jump up and assist with the packing, moving at lightning speed, sword at his side, bouncing along to throw heap after heap back into the wagon. The mules had been fed, meanwhile, and it seemed that Caprician had already taken them down to drink from the water earlier, so even that seemed bright eyed and ready to go.

That just left... well, Hanna didn't seem to be in too grave of a hurry to finish off her beverage, lazily savoring its flavor and just enjoying a few minutes of peace (as well as watching the boys dash about) while she digested. Them? They were young, and she wasn't! Surely, they could handle it by themselves, right? Of course!

And Shae... Shae really couldn't have done much even if she wanted to, with only one worthwhile arm to carry her (literally) and anything else she happened to have. Finished, and finally, gingerly sipping at the edge of the glass Hanna had shoved at her, she felt hopeless to do anything but just... sit there, grimly staring into the dying fire, ears and shoulders both sinking.

The only really productive thing she could do was stay out of everyone's way as they worked, huh?

Talk about a bummer of a task... but at least they'd be getting out of there soon, right?

Ha ha! Good thing she was keeping it to -herself- then! But once everybody else started packing up, Aster made a point to collect all of the dishes that had been set aside, looking at them appraisingly before a 'Ding!' went off in her head and she went off to the washtubs (which would just get dumped out anyways) to wash them up for Caprician. The smell of solidifying food was disgusting, so clean dishes would at -least- spare that awkward smell. Metal or -not- the fire could only clean so much off of them!

However, it did make the process nice and easy to have most of it already cleaned off, able to replace the dishes into the back of the wagon while bedrolls were being taken care of... man, she felt like she had more energy to her name already!

Which was nice to see, from where Jade was standing, chuckling in mild approval as the girl bustled about (while he let all the young able-bodied ones do all of the packing, ha ha ha!! Did he feel ashamed of himself for not helping? Not really! He was, afterall, -paying- the kids.

Which on that note, when they got to the next town he'd have to give them some spending money to use on RELAXATION!!).

"Well, it'll certainly be nice to get back into a more regular routine~"

Kanda.. wasn't so sold by Jade's chipper optimism, frowning at the man who was lazing about doing pretty-much -nothing-, though his own hands were too full of bedroll and other-stuff to worry about glaring at him. He was -doing- something else.

Yep.

Being productive, not leering at Jade. =0=.

"If nothing more, the further we get from the prison, the less likely we will be to be found."

HA HA-...
...
....

Actually, Squalo thought this idea was perfectly reasonable, realizing that if they were caught, =his= a** would be in the prison too! And somehow, that idea didn't sound pleasant to him in any way shape or form, climbing into the back of the wagon himself, once he was sure everything being packed up was taken care of and settling himself into a spot where Takeshi -couldn't- sit next to him..
...
..

Unless the Kanus was creative. SIGH.

... Well, whatever Aster was inclined to do, Yossarian wouldn't stop her, too busy with his own scuffling and stuff transport to pay any mind. Surprisingly, it didn't take long before practically the entire campsite had been re-packed: all the bedding stuffed into its proper place, the fire dashed, the pot of leftovers stored for travel (and later consumption), and the fire dutifully stamped out by heavy booted feet.

Just that much movement, he realized belatedly, actually a little winded after the fact despite his full stomach. Oh well, though; now came the time when they themselves packed in and got moving, right?

... Well, sort of. First, though, he had to go over and sidle up behind a certain other woman who was already loitering at the wagon back thanks to her own newly finished chores, taking her by the hand (rather brazenly, considering a certain watching therapist) and giving it a light squeeze before hopping up, under the tarp.

No doubt those two would be sitting together as usual, huh? Everything just felt better with a full stomach and a promise of better days ahead.

As for Takeshi, unfortunately for Squalo, he'd left right in without a second's hesitation and wound up sitting at the tabby's side anyway, just... on top of a lot of STUFF, as it were, in a position that look horribly uncomfortable-- yet he was smiling oh-so-sweetly none the less.

Oblivious as usual, that boy.

"Aaah, music to my ears, that," Hanna, all the while, just had to muse at a certain devilish companion's commentary, loitering out in the open a bit longer than most of the young ones, but none the less taking her place, too, amidst the back luggage. It was a little difficult to heave herself up, sure, but she hid it well-- and she still had that lovely thermos, despite its contents being... mostly sort of drained. It'd last another day or two until more needed mixing, and in the meanwhile, she could breath easier.

The further they got from prison, the closer they neared to more... civilized sorts of civilizations, too, which she wasn't complaining about. Maybe the Occello would promise better medical care and living conditions for weaker bodies, hmm?

One could certainly dream.

And that just left... who, now? Oh, right, the resident one armed gimp among the group, naturally having straggled even behind the stragglers, blearily surveying the territory, on her feet, but hardly looking 'there' at all, as if trying to ascertain whether or not they'd left anything behind.

It was that or she'd completely zoned out of her body and was just standing there out of reflex, which seemed possible, if not ridiculous, as Del butted the side of her neck to snap her out of it.

She sighed, softly. It was... time to move on, towards something better probably, but not without a long dragging spell of travel and inevitable suffering therein. Was it worth it? Oh, it probably would be in retrospect.

Maybe she'd just... sleep, along the way. That was easiest. She didn't have to think so much when she slept.

OH HO HO! Aster gave Yossarian this half-glance with a light smile as he made his escape from the hand-squeeze, before climbing up into the wagon on his tail (not on-on, but yeah...) to settle in next to him, wherever it was he had decided to plant himself. Hey, people knew they were doing the couple-thing, so it wasn't like their somewhat attachment to each other wasn't -expected-.

In fact, she was just ready to settle in at his side and sleep some more... or maybe just pretend to so she could whisper in his ears all...couple-y. Hmmm.

Possible!

Squalo just frowned at Takeshi. DAMMIT. GO AWAY!!!

Kanda would have been laughing at Squalo's misfortune, if he wasn't keeping a discrete eye on Shae to make sure she didn't just completely fall over dead (or something like that...), sitting down in a place that gave Shae a very -convenient- seat to take up, leering at Jade when he gave him this -look-.

What?

Whattttt???

"Well then.. I imagine all you kids can do now is get some rest and work on recovering, hmm~?" Oh yes, this suggestion sounded absolutely delightful to Aster!

He'd settled himself in the most comfortable corner he could, which really didn't say much... but at least there were some faintly padded heaps of luggage behind him, and then a butterfurred woman at his side, which was sure to make travel more tolerable. Discretely, he even reached back to reclaim that hand he'd let go of upon hopping in, going to far as to lace their fingers together.

Everyone was finally settling in, and even the last straggler seemed to finally snap out of her daze, jerking back to reality with the slightest wince and, with something akin to resignation, sidling on back towards the wagon.

Getting up, as expected, proved a feeble and clumsy affair, straining under the weight of one week arm and just trying not to fall flat on her stomach when she pulled herself in... but she made it, silently, and with that age old reflex of obedience, scooted right on over to settle where she figured she was meant to.

"... Rest... sounds nice," was all she really responded when she heard Jade's comment (amidst just sort of giving up and leaning against her companion's side), and it was in one of those quiet voices that probably barely registered anyway. Even Yossarian couldn't argue the sentiment, though, and nodded in silence.

"Are we all packed in now?" Caprician was calling from the front, obviously getting into place at the reins.

"I believe so!" Hanna called back in a sweet voice, amidst a discrete swig from that thermos.

And so, with Yossarian and Aster all settled into place for their quiet 'intimacy' of a sort, and Squalo inevitably grousing over Takeshi's endless company, and Shae slouched up next to Kanda with eyes closed, probably five minutes from just dozing off again, the cart lurched off about its merry way at last, tottering and creaking along through the sand...

OFF, TO NEW ADVENTURES.

Well, sort of. Travel would take a while, sure, but at least they were finally (slowly) working towards a better tomorrow... or next couple of weeks. Whatever. When you hit rock bottom, things could only go up, right?

Exactly!

... So long as no one wrung Takeshi's neck when he asked if they were there yet for the thousandth time, the whole lot of them would be just fine.
