After some hours of tending to her duties in the Library, it was finally quitting time. A few people would hang around to do some last minute checks before locking up for the evening but since Maryl wasn't one of those people, she was free to go. Since she was so preoccupied with work this time, she didn't notice any of what was going on until she stepped out of the library doors.

A chill shot up her spine as the shifting energies beyond the castle door hit her like a brick wall. Rather than take her chances and wait around, she turned to search about the castle. She had a faint idea where her family was and this time the castle halls were a bit less confusing.
