If I may say this: when you're the captain of a guild, you sure do take advantage of it, huh? o-o
Now in response to the question..
I think the best part is waking up cause I always forget what day it is, and then when my parents burst into my room to tell me and I rush down the stairs like a 5-year-old X3
Ah, good times.

giving the gifts to the angel tree children. no child should be with out a gift. or even knowing they are loved.

Just the feeling of Christmas, is my favorite part.
It all comes into focus at Christmas. It's a tender time. We grow cautious because we open ourselves to love. We exchange gifts, but what those presents really say is "I love you." Makes some folks uncomfortable to say or hear these words. Maybe it's because they never learned the secret of the giving heart. There are more takers than givers in the world. People, communities, even countries spending their time grubbing and rooting for the goods of this earth like pigs after acorns in the fall of the year. We are people with giving hearts and I pray that it will always be so. It's part of our strength. It's something we learned as innocent children that we can share with the fellow who's down on his luck, with those who have suffered calamities, the loss of their home, their land, or their hope.
There is nothing sadder in this world than to awaken Christmas morning and not be a child. Not to feel the cold on your bare feet as you rush to the Christmas tree in the living room. Not to have your eyes sparkle at the wonderment of discovery. Not to rip the ribbons off the shiny boxes with such abandon.
Christmas doesn't have to be a childlike for a toddler or a teen. Children of Christmas are givers. That's what the day is for. They give thanks, love, gratitude, joy, and themselves to one another. How sad indeed to awaken on Christmas and not be a child. Time, self-pity, apathy, bitterness, and exhaustion can take the Christmas out of the child, but you cannot take the child out of Christmas.
