"..... I'm soooo bored!" Manndar said as he sat down and opened a bottle of water. "Reading scrolls is nice and all, but...... ugh!"

"Ooh! Throw it at something! Throw it at something!" Manndar said with excitement. He's been very, very bored recently. This looks like it could get interesting.

Kashin at first smirked hearing Chaos. "I wouldn't have it any other way." The second Chaos initiated the seal he dropped to his knees immediately. He did not scream like he would have in the past. With a deep breath the seal was finished. He uncovered his eye to reveal the new symbols held within it. "Another one to add to my collection..." He returned to his feet and placed his eye patch just above his eye. "Chaos, please let me know if I can be of any help to you. You have done plenty for all of us." Kashin lowered his eye patch to cover the seal.

Kei watched the antics of his fellow shinobi and sighed quietly, he wasn't much for levity and while he knew it was done to keep up their morale; he frankly couldn't care about keeping a positive outlook. As he read the final scroll, he placed it down on the table and silently slipped out of the room with his companions.

Kei began to walk through the empty corridors of the quiet castle, he mused to himself quietly as he reviewed the new techniques in his mind's eye. He acknowledged their worth but what he saw as being more useful was the curse information that Chaos had given to him. The availability of more power at a moment's notice was a useful thing to have, but it slowly ate away a person's humanity.

'Am I prepared to make the sacrifice?' Kei questioned as he paused in the middle of an empty hallway. Closing his eyes he considered the ramifications of what might happen to him, on the other hand he would be able to defeat his opponents. 'Isn't that worth it? I'm already cold and despondent, if I give up being able to hope, to love, to care, for the sake of my friends and the village; wouldn't that be a fair trade?' Kei thought to himself as he resumed his walk through the castle.

The raven haired shinigami remembered his conversation with that woman from the White Hand. She had accused him of being strong but lacking the ambition to become truly powerful. 'Is this the key? I always thought that pushing myself beyond my limitations was the way to achieve strength.' The ANBU considered the strength of Azure and Masamune, titans amongst them; but Masamune was being aided by a Djinn. Chaos was a plant. Nekage an angel, along with Azure. They had all sacrificed to become more powerful.

"What have I ever sacrificed?" Kei thought to himself as he thumped his fist against a wall. "I have shed blood and sweat, killed men I didn't know, all in the name of Gaioh but what have I ever given up in the pursuit of Gaioh's protection?" Kei asked the empty air about him. The response was as obvious as the barren halls, nothing.

The ANBU smirked to himself as the pieces fell into place about him, the truth of that woman's words had been forsaken in the rush of impetitus, and the desire to prove her wrong. "What a fool I've been." Kei murmured to himself as he walked down the hall, the dust lifting up as he strode past. "There have always been individuals who would tred the darker paths to ensure the security of their fellows. The few who stain their souls so that others do not have to." Kei spoke these words to himself as he ascended a flight of stairs and entered an abandoned ballroom.

Striding into the middle of the chamber, Kei nodded to himself as he made his decision. Raising his left hand above his head, the ANBU began to siphon the air from above him and pooled it into a sphere that revolved above his open palm. Shifting his stance, the shinobi drove the sphere into the ground; the contained air escaped with a screech as it rushed out in a wave that pushed the dust up against the walls leaving the expanse of the floor clean.

Drawing out the curse scrolls that Chaos had given him, Kei unfurled them and hung them in the open air, leaving them hanging unsupported around him in a circle. Sitting down crosslegged, Kei began to read the writings with total focus. He would learn the principles that Chaos had gifted him with and devise a seal that would grant him the boon necessary to crush his adversaries. "Because sometimes it is necessary to walk amongst the damned to remember the luxuries of the living and know what it is that you protect."

"Well, I guess its back to working on these scrolls......" Manndar said with a sigh.

Manndar eventually gets through the scrolls he was supposed to look at...... Then he goes from a sate of boredom to a state of absolute undeniable boredom.

"....... Uhhhhh....." Was all Manndar could say as he was lying on the ground in a semi-conscious state of boredom.
