my friend told me about it, and said there was lots of blood (i like blood..) so i watched it but i think the story (and Ed) made me fall in love with it whee

It was a boring rainy day so I decided to go to the library.
After looking around I found the manga section
(it is so small you'll miss it if you don't know it's there)
and I thought that this manga seems good,
and so I met the manga Full Metal Alchemist! (^_^)

for me it was the trailer that they shoulded on Adult Swim that got me to check it out.... well any new anime they put on i always check out like two or three eps to see if i would like and i must say that i feel in love with the anime half way though the fist up. I dont see why they had to remake it because it was great the way it was before.

confused Let me start off in saying that I've been into anime since I was 9 years old when I watched the original Speed Racer everyday after school and that was back in 1975. So yeah, I'm probably one of the oldest members on this site. How I got into Fullmetal Alchemist was that I had caught a glimpse of it one night on Adult Swim and it look really interesting so the next night I watched a full episode and I was totally hooked. Now they have the new series on Adult Swim which in my opinion is better then the original. But that's just me. I just wish that the kid who did the Al in the original series didn't have to go through the change and he was still doing the voice (can't remember the kid's name right now). That's my story and I'm sticking to it. mrgreen

Well my pain in the a** older brother who got me into anime in the first place told me that there was an anime series with the main character to oddly act like me. I was like 'Whoa really!?' So he told me the name of the series (Of course FMA) I watched it. I found out that he was telling the truth, Ed acts a lot like me. One of the reasons why I love him X3 But actually when the first series came out we watched it but we sadly forgot about it :/ I was 5 when it came out so yea!

i forgot if i posted something, but i'll just post again.
i was flipping threw various channels when i just so happened to stop on adult swim; when they were reshowing the first episode of fullmetal alchemist. there for opening me to anime for the first time.

One of my bestfriends was OBSESSED with it and wouldn't shut up about it, then I watched some of it and it was amazing! I showed it to my other 2 bestfriends and now they love it. It has a really mature intelligent story line compared to other animes and that's why I really like it. (I feel the same way with Deathnote)
