My favourite band is Dionysos. I discovered them a few years back when someone directed me to their beautiful music video Tais-toi mon cœur. The song is from the album La mécanique du cœur, and all the songs are based on a story of the same name written by the lead singer Mathias Malzieu. The story is about Jack, a boy born on the coldest day in the world, so cold that his heart was made of ice. But the midwife Docteur Madeleine saved him by replacing his heart with a cuckoo clock heart. But it is fragile. He must wind himself every day, and he cannot stress himself out. No getting too angry, no excitement. No falling in love. And guess what he does? He falls in love with a beautiful street performer Miss Acacia, and he searches all over to find her again, battling the evil Joe, who also yearns for her heart.
It's actually kind of like the book/movie Big Fish- only, and you can tell by the video, it has a sadly different ending.
Anyway, the creator of this video is working on the whole story becoming a feature film in the same style!
I have all their albums, and several albums of Olivia Ruiz and of Babet (two of the female singers of Dionysos). They are a great live show if you are ever in central France smile
