Ai smiled a little bit, chuckling at Cain while patting his head, "I...I think I remember them. Just a bit of their faces...But I can remember them." The ex Kunoichi grins to herself and takes the opportunity to plant a gentle kiss on to Cain's upper lip! Despite how sudden it was, the kiss itself was sweet and tender; full of love and nostalgia even.

"That's very good Ai."
*Cain thinks to himself a little bit, then grins, looking up at her with a mischevious look on his face*

Blinking at Cain, Ai raised a brow at him curiously, "Of course not! I wouldn't begin to forget about you, not after all you've done for me... No one chose to help me...no one else offered their hand to me. Just you..." Her cheeks were flushed from a mixture of embarrassment and anger all at once. Expressing her gratefulness was not enough, but the torment she had gone through was more than enough to make her angry. Hot tears rolled down her tanned cheeks...

*He looks into her eyes, worried*
"Smile for me?"
*He softly touches his lips to her forehead, then sits back, still looking at her*

In spite of how upset she was, Ai smiled as brightly as she could, just for Cain. It was a little forced, but she meant it with all of her heart. But she didn't feel like giving a force smile-- instead, she dove into him and clung to his waist as tightly as she could, "I won't smile for you if I have to force myself to do so...But I promise you that I will give you a brighter smile."

"You're tired, aren't you...?" Nothing escaped the dark warrioress's keen hearing. Curling up against him, she makes herself comfortable and shares her warmth with him. "I...think I'm falling asleep too..." Ai was drained for the day; physically and emotionally. Before she had reunited herself with Cain, she had gone hunting for most of the day to prepare for another week of travel or so.

*He yawns once more, kissing her forehead one last time, and then slowly falls asleep, lying out under the open sky with Ai once more.*

The two slept peacefully for for most of the night, and through half the day. Ai was up a little before noon, hunting for Cain and herself for a few hours... When she came back, she skinned the two rabbits she had caught earlier and roasted them. Ai was certain that Cain still had a big appetite, even after all of these years...

*Cain twitches and sighs in his sleep, the smell of the rabbit hitting his nostrils like a hammer*
"A-Ai? Is that....."
*He stops talking as soon as he sees the rabbits on the fire, his jaw hanging open from hunger*
"You caught those while I was sleeping?"

Ai glanced at Cain as she heard him stir about, "Are you awake yet?? It's early!" She scooted next to him, nodding proudly of her hunting skills, "Yup! It wasn't too hard, really. I thought you'd be hungry at this hour!"

*Cain laughs, laying his head upon her shoulder, staring at the rabbit as it roasts*

Ai chuckled softly at the prodding, "You are most welcomed! But be careful, don't eat it so quickly!"
Once the rabbits were done roasting, Ai carefully took the rabbit meat and cut into it, tearing some meat off for him and herself. "It's still hot, mind you...!"

*His mind only focused on the meat, he swallows his piece whole, not noticing until it is already down in his stomach that it burnt his tongue.*
"Hot! Gah!"
*Cain looks around for water, quickly scrambling to the creek, plunging his face into the creek, cooling himself, lifting his head and shaking it much like a dog would, splashing water everywhere*
"Ahh... much better"
