Fenera Hi there! I'm Tar, and I'm a 20 year old just struggling to make ends meet. Size 12-15, when I have a roommate who's a size 0. She kinda looks at me like 'ew' sometimes and I just kinda need a pick me up with people who know what its like to have a little extra to hug. :3 I hope I can make some friends here. ^O^ Hello there! Having a roomie who's such a different size (and not very nice about YOUR size) must be rough. Welcome to the guild. 3nodding

I'm Sara, Thanks for having me. I actually am fairly happy with how i look, self esteem comes and goes but mostly its not so bad. I am affected by the stereotypes about weight and pressure to have a negative self image, the biggest culprit is my mother, so I can definitely relate, as I'm around 200 lbs. My best friend is deeply effected by prejudice and cruelty and negative self image, and I want to learn more about the social psychological impact and what people are doing to counteract it.
I'm also transsexual, 2 years on HRT now, and a lesbian (mostly), and all kinds of other wonderful things.

Hi, everybody! My name's Tasha, and I'll be 19 in 1O days :3 According to my parents, ever since I was a baby I've been pretty chubby for my size, so I really couldn't think of myself as being any other way. But, I won't lie that I'm probably a tad TOO chubby. I mean... ~300lbs is a lot of weight :/. (That's the first time I've ever told anyone my weight, and I'm already flushing with embarrassment = 3= ) Anyway... I still live at home with my parents and I'm currently attending a community college until I find out what to do with my life. Ever since grade school, I've struggled with taunting and teasing about my weigh, and it continues even in college. You'd think people would get over that sort of thing. I also have terrible self-esteem, and as a result, I'm pretty paranoid. I can't sit in public without hearing people snicker and wonder if they're making fun of me behind my back, and it makes me feel about an inch tall every time. That's probably why I love music so much. I blast it so loud that I can't hear anyone else heart I hope that my time in this guild will help boost my confidence a little, and provide me with some insight on how to be healthier, because I love to eat and I know that I just always eat the wrong things all the time. But... It's soooo good gonk I've always felt that women were the most beautiful when they were natural women. Wonderful curves and fluff is probably one of the best physical appearances, in my opinion.. I'm glad I've found a place where people seem to feel the same c:

-shuffles her feet- Hello, I am Ren. [First name Michelle, middle name Renee` I prefer being called Ren. :3] I am eighteen years old and a size 16 - 20. x.x I'm not all that comfortable in my own skin and want to try learning to be, Since on both sides of my family we have some pretty big boned people, The only change the women get is we either get muscular or just not.

Hello,
I joined a few weeks ago but I didn't make an intro post. My name is Ashley, I'm 22 and I'm in my final year of my undergrad degree.
I'm also getting married in April, so the pressure to lose weight for the wedding is getting to me.

Welcome to you both. 3nodding
Ren: I know what it's like to come from a family of big women. My aunt on my mother's side is just over six foot and is a heavy woman. She works as a nurse in the hospital and most of that weight is muscle. My aunt on my father's side is short and round. I've heard it joked that her boobs enter the room before she does. sweatdrop
Lilad: Congrats on the upcoming wedding! That's so exciting. I hear you as well; when I got married 3 years ago there was some pressure to lose weight and look 'my best' for pictures and what not but managed not to cave. You can do it, and if you need us too, we're here to help.

Welcome, ladies! And word on the wedding thing - I escaped it by finding a dress that fit my body as it was exactly right (I only had to have it shortened and cups put in so my boobs wouldn't fall out), so if I'd lost weight, it would have either looked bad or cost me money in alterations! May I point you to Indiebride's forums? I lived off that place when I was getting hitched. And the ladies (and few gentlemen) are super supportive, including about the weight thing. You won't be seeing much of the whole "oh but you have to lose weight for the wedding!" bullshit there, unless someone's quoting a hellish relative or "friend."

My name is Harley well soon will be I'm getting a name change. If you're wondering which most people do my real name is Cassie. It's just not for me though and I feel I am a Harley. I'm seventeen years old I live in Massachusetts.I love horror movies and things that go bump in the night. I am a big animal person. I'd like to take archery lessons. I'm obsessed with the game DC Universe Online. An now I feel I should explain why or how I got the way I am.
It was my freshman year in high school I had such high hopes. All were dashed in the end I had to change schools and ended up losing my sanity because of the whole trauma. To help cope with my emotions and the lack of nothing to do over my summer vacation, I ate. It felt good and taste was more then taste. It was so satisfying and felt like it was there for me. Well not even threw the whole summer I got chubby.
I had no idea how to stop my eating habits because I was never over weight. Now when ever I look at myself in the mirror I feel like all I see is failure. Looks were never a problem for me at least no one bugged me about them.
Then I started posting in GD an now I get trolled constantly. I wouldn't leave but at the same time it did make me realize that I needed to lose weight.
I can't even fit into nice clothes anymore and it's not like I have a huge gut, I can hold on to it though, and it does feel like it's bigger then what it really is. An my face I can't stand looking at my face.
I came here to start excepting me and get on the right track again to a healthier life style. I hope I can find that here an that this place is full of others to talk to.

^_^ My name is Ricci (pronounced Ricki, but spelled Ricci) but please call me either Aqua, May, or Mareep. I'm 19 and I'm usually around a 2x - 3x. >.< I'm actually very uncomfortable with my appearance due to the fact that, as a kid, I was made fun of a lot for my weight. Although, I've been lightening up thanks to my girlfriend. Shes always telling me how she loves my appearance. Although, she is wanting me to lose weight (My weights unhealthily high) so shes going to help me. Anyways, as you can see, I'm in a relationship xD Been in it for 6 months now. I'm a borderline diabetic. Which makes my life a little difficult with my weight and the fact I have a horribly humongous sweet tooth. I lost weight over the summer. I mean a TON of weight. It was because of my gallbladder removal and needing to be on a fat free diet. Well, after the removal, I started eating the foods I wasn't supposed to again and ended up gaining ALL that weight back >-< Which depresses me because I got all these cute clothes that I can no longer fit in. Anyways, I saw this guild and thought maybe it would be something good for me. To find people who understand my situation and maybe can give me some advice as well.

-waves- Hiyu guild peoples!
Please call me Dimi. I`m a 22 year old young woman still living at home with her mom. I graduated college with 4 certificates and going back for my AAS. Maybe later I will get a bachelors in Web design.
I am a size 18-22 and love being plus sized, I like to call myself "plushie." To me it is sexy while still acknowledging that I am a big woman. I take pride in my curves and I feel that just because I am "fat" does not mean I cannot take pride in myself! I consider myself to be a plus-sized advocate and educate people on being a big woman in a "thin is pretty society."
I have a boyfriend that I have been with for four years and he embraces all of me. In fact he is a rather big man himself! <3

Hello everyone!
Please call me Midnight or "Mid."
I'm a (cis) female, 30 year-old aspiring novelist, and I work as a dog walker and housesitter, as well as whatever odd jobs pop up. Sometimes I'm gone for long lengths of time because of this (not every place I go has internet access). I have a BA in English Lit (with a minor in sociology). Shame my current occupation doesn't really utilize it. xd
I own two adorable cats named Luna and Violet. I have a lot of varied hobbies and interests, including video games, animation, making jewelry (shiny things!) and cooking.
I've been fat my entire life, and was bullied and picked on quite a lot as a kid. I'm a size 26 (most of the time--a lot depends on the hackneyed sizing and styling of clothes) and have been for close to 15 years. I'm actually quite proud of the fact that my size hasn't fluctuated. I can still wear most of the clothes I wore in highschool, and I don't know many people my age who can say that! 3nodding
I think I've always been a feminist at heart, but I had my "awakening" in college when I finally (mostly) got away from the bullying and met many wonderful teachers and took some classes in gender studies. FA/HAES was kind of the logical conclusion to reach as I dissected all of the misogynistic narratives in our culture. While I still struggle with my self-esteem and accepting my body as is, it's a great comfort to just know I'm not alone.
