I thought everyone might like to know that David Bowie will have a cameo part in the new movie 'BandSlam.'

Here's the plot: WILL BURTON (Gaelan Connell) is used to being bullied or completely ignored by his schoolmates, so when cool and popular former cheerleader CHARLOTTE BANKS (Alyson Michalka) starts inviting him to hang out with her, the quirky teenager is stunned and so is his doting single mom KAREN (Lisa Kudrow). Impressed by his eclectic knowledge of music, Charlotte, a gifted singer-songwriter, asks Will to manage her fledgling rock band. The goal: go head to head against her egotistical musician ex-boyfriend BEN (Ben Wheatley) at a regional battle-of-the-bands.

I'm actually a little disappointed, because when this movie was 'in production' on IMDB, the ORIGINAL description they gave sounded like a dark comedy indy-movie.... Now the discription for the movie is completely different and it turns out to be a Disney-kids type movie. Oh well, he's in it, so I gotta see it anyway.

You can check out the IMDB.com Information page for 'BandSlam' here.

As a side note, I think he wanted to do this project because of his daughter, whose about 9 now. I know he's done other projects in the past for her, i.e. Sponebob Squarepants.

Can we just watch the part with Bowie in it?

Yes, the rest will just be meaningless tween filler. Wake me up when David's on the screen.

LOL, I agree. As I said before, I think he did this with his daughter in mind. But I love him so I will take any opportunity to see him. He will be preforming 'Rebel Rebel.'
I saw another commerical for it on TV today.. It really does look awful... cry
When it was in production, as I mentioned in my first post, it sounded so much better and I was really looking forward to it...

okay I've mentioned it to a few of you before...

but he has been on TV before.

An older-than-most-of-you-might-remember-or-know television show called Dream On.

okay he's a bit of a jerk - 4:28 - 5:06 but how many or us think we'd be the one to change him?

::raises hand::

oh wait - I've had my fun with the male populace (for now wink )
