"I, I am here because I was abandoned and no one knows me or wants me and because of that I despise them and hate who I am, I wish to become something else, I wish to become what you are", Gretta said head held high trying to prove to them and herself that she wasn't scared.

"Because I wish nothing more than to be left alone and to spend my nights awake in the peaceful night where no one can find me or dares to find me", She whispers all the while wishing she could have done this before her father had gotten to her. Gretta looked down at her arm witch was covered with purple and blue bruises.

"Please, please, I wont have to be your child I can go out on my own I just wish to become part of the night, please", Gretta begged tears starting to form at the edges of her eyes.

"th- thank you soo much"! Gretta said happily following mary inside.

Gretta watched as Mary took the boy inside. She paused at the door looking at the carvings in the door trying to figure out what they meant and then went inside behind Mary. 'If I become a vampire I will do my best to prove to Mary that it was worth it, I know even a vampire can be better parents than my mother and father were'. Gretta thought remembering the horrifying days that led to her running away. Her father had become a alcoholic and her mother had become a part of a drug gang and was never home to protect her from the violent smacks her father gave for speaking to him.
