I've heard about them, I know they give you better drops and such, but do they just count as a group? Wait, no, that'd be crews.... wouldn't it? D:
The crew I was with last night, with Cerberus_Hellhound, was very successful in killing hundreds of little Zen Garden dolls. I must've made 30 orbs, easy. Would this sort of major-group-killing-spree be something a clan would do? Or is like... a support group? Like, "omgwtfs I can't kill the green puffs!" and a bunch of clan members rush over to help?
If anyone would be so kind to let me know about this, please do! whee

Clans are like a guild. Its a exclusive club that you can join. Though I doubt being in a clan increases drops like a crew does. But here we support each other and help each other through hard times and quests.
If I left something out someone can fill in the rest.

Yea a crew is where you get more drops, the clan helps you get into good quality crews. Think of it like this. If you end up in a crew with 4 other people who are poorly organized and none of them help each other out you're soloing and not benifiting from the crew. Where as if you get in a crew with 2 other well organized people you will increas your drops drasticaly. We try to be theose good groups, we may not be big but we're organized and we try to be well informed.
As a group we donate our extra ring and loot drops to the clan and help each other get better rings and make better stuff. DW and I both have already given rings to clan members to help them a long and are more than happy to lend advice and aid to keep things going.
