Aoiko blushed once more at the girlish giggle, then gave a little bow while turning to go into her quarters. She giggled a bit herself as she took time choosing a fresh yukata, more out of disbelief than actual humor. I'm free of my aunt, and my uncle, and my cousin! Even though she was here, in the okiya, Aoiko still couldn't believe she would never have to face them again. And with that mindset, she padded off in her tabi to the wash-room.

Ariku smiled and walked away as Aoiko walked into her room. Ariku made her way to the garden. She let her long golden hair free and closed her eyes as her hair blew in the breeze. She smiled and sat on a bench under a cherry blossom tree. It was nice to finally have a new face in the okiya.

5 ((1/9/09 Edit: GAH! I almost became one of them... The... Inactive Members...! eek )) Looking over at the window, Aoiko spied a streak of red running across the golden sky and realized it was sunset. Too tired to care, and her nerves frayed by the long day's trip, she nestled down in her simple bed and fell asleep...

Ariku sat and watched the sunset. Once night fell she began to feel tired. So, she got up and walked to her room. She closed the dorr and went to sleep.
(Haha, I'm glad there is actually someone willing to participate here finally!)

((Woopee for getting active again! I'm almost at the 10 roleplay posts mark!))
Aoiko woke up to the sound of birds chirping happily, bathed in the rosy light of dawn. When she sat up, her rumpled hair fell back into place, strands falling across her bleary-eyed face, and her kimono pooling into soft wrinkles as she knelt on top of the bed. Yawning, she stood, and after retrieving a fresh kimono from her canvas bag, she directed himself to the washroom down the hall. After soaking, and letting the sleep and dirt be cleansed from her, she returned to her room. Although she was now clean, and looked all the better for it, she felt nervous and unsure. What do I do now? She though to herself. Finally, she went down to the kitchen area she had passed by on her arrival. "Is anyone here?"

((WOOHOO! Lol))
Ariku woke-up as the warm sun hit her face through the window. She yawned and sat up. She took a fresh kimono and went to wash up.
After getting cleaned up she moved through the okiya to the kitchen. She slid open the door and saw Aoiko.
"Ohayou gozaimasu," she said smiling slightly, she was still a bit sleepy... "Would you like help making breakfast?"

((I'm, baaack... Lawlz I like my "rosy light of dawn".. ^_^))
"Ohayou gozaimasu Ariku-san!" Aoiko turned, startled by Ariku, and tripped. After picking up the pans she had dropped, she stood, blushing, "That's fine Ariku-san, I like to cook..And now that I'm here, I have to earn my way, right?" She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and turned back to the kitchen's fire saying, "So, what would you like for breakfast?"

"Okay, ummm. I think just some rice and nori would be good," she said sweetly.
She smiled and walked over to a cabinet, "I'll make some tea for us!"

((Ah...The aroma of Asian cooking pervades into my senses... whee ))
"Ah..Okay...How does onigiri sound," she asks, her quiet, lilting voice settling into a conversational tone as she asks the question. "Tea sounds wonderful, arigatou Ariku-san." Turning to the cabinets in which the rice and packages of nori are stored, Aoiko begins to hum. She hums a soft, sweet melody which progresses into whispered lyrics under her breath.

"Sounds wonderful!" she said and smiled.
She removed a box from the cabinet and pulled out a couple of packets of strawberry vanilla tea. She filled a pot with water and placed it on the stove to heat...
"You have a pretty voice, Aoiko-chan," she said turning the heat up to high.
