The Queen finished thinking, [You speak as if they were the good guys. Ninja do not follow the concept of good or bad. There is only the mission.] She bursts into flames forcing Nekomata off, [When a dragon is summoned, her mission is her summoner's will.] She beats her wings, launching flames at them, [Queen is not a position. Queen is a title of the biggest, strongest and oldest one of my kind. It's similar to the Vampire King title. We have many similarities. I'm honored to battle at his side.]
Ouja strikes Kiyotoshi in the chest with lightning exploding out of his hand. At this point, Kiyotoshi couldn't keep up with Ouja's light speed. Ouja ran circles around him shattering his bones, "Is this it?! Suzaku?!" Ouja flashes under Kiyotoshi then uppercuts him, sending him flying skywards in flames.
Kiyotoshi gave up, [(Suzaku) Come on! Move! (Kiyotoshi) I'm done fighting. I'm out...] Ouja flashes underneath him. Kiyotoshi coughs up blood as the Chishio Sword goes through his chest. The sword glowed while Ouja drained Kiyotoshi's energy, "Heh. No one to save you. No one to miss you. You're the easiest kill I've had. The others always had their friends and s**t. Very annoying. You put up the most fight of a single person though I'll give you that." He takes the sword out then smashes Kiyotoshi towards the ground.
Everything slowed while he fell through the clouds, [Tch, I've got nothing to live for anyway. At least I put up a fight eh? (Suzaku) Can't you at least try to beat him?] He had fallen under the clouds. After a few seconds he plunges deep into a lake.
Ouja flashes in front of him, grabbing his neck, [Nice try Suzaku. But I will always win.] He leans over to drink Kiyotoshi's blood. Kiyotoshi's hearts' beats slowed down until it seemed as if time had stopped. What Suzaku had said was ringing in his head, at least try... at least try. Suzaku was disappointed, [You know? An elite wouldn't go down like this.] Kiyotoshi's adrenaline rushed. His voice was muffled underwater, "I'll try."
Above the lake, the water seemed to glow. Suddenly an explosion tosses Ouja up into the air. Kiyotoshi snickers, "(Suzaku) Hey Seiryuu! You wanna help or you just gonna sit there watching?!" Ouja glared at him, [He should be dead by now! Just look at the damage he's sustained!] Suzaku tells Kiyotoshi, [We're going to have to use that attack soon. (Kiyotoshi) He could still evade it... (Suzaku) I know but this is the end of the line. Your will power won't keep you alive much longer.]

Nekomata roars, and the force of her voice blasts through the flames, providing her a ring through which to leap at the dragon's throat. The winged serpent rolls in the air, slipping out of the way. One of the great cat's paws, though, catches her wing. Using this contact, Nekomata spins in the air, latching on to the dragons' back. Her fangs sink into the base of the beast's neck.
The dragon roars in pain as Nekomata wraps her front legs around her neck, claws sinking into the flesh of her throat. Green flames glow around fang and claw, sinking into the wounds and spreading through the great dragon's system like a poison. [Forgive me, old friend,] Nekomata murmurs telepathically to the dragon Queen as the green fire begins to do its work. The dragon's wings buckles, her muscles weakening. She lands heavily on the ground, struggling to stay upright. Even so, her legs too give way, and she collapses, barely able to keep her head lifted above the ground. The Queen twists her neck to blow fire at the demon cat latched on to her back, but only a measly spark coughs up from her throat. There is no fire left within her. With a low groan, the beast collapses, the light fading from her eyes.
After a moment or two, Nekomata releases her prey. Mary takes hold of Ayame's body, leaping from the giant cat's head to land near one of the gaping wounds. [What are you doing?] Ayame asked. [We need to help Kiyotoshi!]
{One second. I need to do something before the dragon is Reclaimed.}
[Reclaimed?]
Mary pushes the shield into one of the wounds, dousing it in the dragon's blood. When she lifts it out, the surface retains an oily sheen for a moment before soaking it in. Red-black markings have appeared around the outside edges of the shield like some sort of runic script. "Perfect," Mary whispers, turning and leaping down to the ground as the dragon begins to disintigrate beneath her. When there is nothing left of the Queen but dust in the wind, Nekomata turns to face Ouja and Kiyotoshi. Ouja's words reach Ayame's ears. "Heh. No one to save you. No one to miss you. You're the easiest kill I've had. The others always had their friends and s**t. Very annoying."
Ayame does not catch the rest of his speech, her mind focusing on two of those statements. No one to save you. No one to miss you. With what followed, it came down to one thing: no friends. She frowned, gripping the shield tightly. "I might not know you very well, Kiyotoshi," she says, "but we fight now together as comrades -- as friends."
She lifts the shield. The spiralling script around the edge seems to shift, shining in the sunlight like fresh ink as Mary harvests the energy from the earth around her to pour into the shield. As the ghost does so, Ayame focuses her thoughts on Nekomata beneath her. [I need to borrow your strength.]
The great cat nods. "That's what I'm here for." Though she seems to vanish, her energy remains, filling the pact-maker to the brink.
Ayame turns the mirror so that it holds both Ouja and Kiyotoshi in its sight, opening her mind to the power of the Muteki Shield and pumping Nekomata's chi into it. Her thoughts take form in the reflection of the mirror and thus in reality. Chunks of Mary's personal living metal leap up around Kiyotoshi to form to his skin, creating an armor as strong as dragon scales. At the same time, tendrils of the same quicksilver snap up out of the ground to capture Ouja in their grasp. They wrap around his arms and legs like snakes, cutting off his blood flow and restricting his movement.
Mary then begins to pump her gathered energy into Kiyotoshi through the mirror, urging his wounds to heal and boosting his strength. A barrier rises around Ayame to protect her from attack as the ghost woman harnesses the true power of the Muteki shield. Her thoughts, carried by the energy flowing into Kiyotoshi, brush his mind.
[You do not stand alone.]

Shin laughs "I'm not the hero type you know that." Shin jumps up and sighs. "What a drag. I really thought i would just be able to watch." Ouja quickly flash steps grabbing Shin by the head smashing him deep into a moutain side. Shin slowly walks out of the crack with his cloak ripped to shreads. Shin sighs and his mask hits the ground. Ouja gets hypnotized as the mask bounces against the ground finally stopping. All of a sudden Shin does the same thing back to Ouja. "You know you should really learn from others mistakes." Shin smiles as his fangs and wings float along the air. Ouja flys out of the crack throwing a kick as Shin does a back flip avoiding it. Shin laughs "Hankyou Aizu." Ouja glares at Shin and laughs. "Lets really see if that technique is a real one." Ouja begins to throw a relentless attack. Shin smiles as he easily foresees his attack dodging every last one with extreme accuracy. Ouja finally stops and smiles "Try dodging this." Ouja quickly creates clones sending 5 around Shin who easily dodges each one. Shin smiles as this isnt even a challenge for him. [(Seiryuu) We need to attack. (Shin) I can't not while i have this activated. (Seiryuu) Then deactivate it.] Shin sighs and quickly deactivates it as he shushins out of the way letting the clones kill themselves. Charges Ouja and they begin to match eachother blow for blow. Shin kicks Ouja in the ribs using Ryu style. Ouja spins around and punchs Shin in his ribs. Shin continues to distract him with this blow for blow contest and finally feels that he has the advantage. Ouja throws a heavy blow to Shins ribs shattering them. Shin screams out in pain but quickly continues with his plan and catchs his hand pulling him in tightly and then captures him with a kage mane to ensure there is no escape. "Suzaku hurry up! I cant hold him...." Shin coughs up blood which quickly turns to fire. "forever." Shin whispers trying not to cough again.

Kiyotoshi charges towards Ouja but sees what he's about to do, [s**t!!] He flashes as fast as he can in his condition but it wasn't enough. His hand had struck Ouja in the neck, "(Ouja) Hahahaa you're mastery of atten can't stop me." Suzaku took over since Kiyotoshi was struck in awe, [He's activated Hanmukei. Probably 5 minutes of virtually unlimited ryoku due to his production speed. If we can last those 5 minutes...] Ouja repels the Kage Mane, "I'm ending this. Now." Shin quickly reactivates, "Hankyou Aizu!.."
He rapidly dodges Ouja's attacks, barely managing to stay with his speed. Ouja's strikes are so powerful that it breaks through Kiyotoshi's armor, sending him into the ground. Ouja creates a lightning shield around Shin then instantly shrinks it, frying him, "I'm going to disintegrate you... and you," looking at Ayame, "Then that just leaves you huh?" He turns around and Kiyotoshi palms him in the heart. Ouja quickly grabs his wrist, "Hehehe trying to give me a heart attack?" Suddenly a lightning bolt blows his head off.
Ouja's body falls to the ground, letting go of Kiyotoshi. Utari had arrived, "Stay out of the way! I'll hold off his Hanmukei until he's out!" Ouja reappears behind him with his head regrown, "You forget I have massive amounts of ryoku compared to you." He blows Utari's head off with just his telekinesis, "Now we're even." Kiyotoshi couldn't believe what he just saw. The leader of the Kashoku clan had been killed as if he were just target practice. Ouja snickered then stopped as someone spoke behind him, "What are you laughing at? (Ouja confused) How..? (Utari) I am the son of No-Hands. My life's mission is to restore our honor." Ouja recognizes that name, "No-Hands... that Ninja Pirate who could execute every jutsu without using hand signs?" Utari hits him with a Triple Element attack, knocking him underwater, "Yes." Ouja was bewildered by his sheer level of jutsu skills, [Launching a Triple Element? By himself? Without hand signs?!] Utari begins demolishing the area with Triple Element attacks forcing Ouja to dodge such damage.
Ouja grabs Kiyotoshi and uses him as a body shield. His eyes show even more confusion when he sees the incoming Triple Element attack stop in mid air, [Is this guy even human? That shouldn't even be possible...] Kiyotoshi blasts Ouja off of him. Ouja regains his stance then raises his hand. Dark vines come out of Kiyotoshi's shadow then pierce him, dragging him underwater. He screams in pain then flashes, punching Ouja back a few feet. Kiyotoshi kneels on the lake's surface, exhausted. Ouja whips out an ice sword and attacks Kiyotoshi, but he blocks, "How can you keep going like this? Even when you have nothing left... (Suzaku) Because he will tear himself apart in order to stop you. Because nothing makes you stronger than having nothing left." Metal wraps around Ouja holding him down. Then, shadows pierce through him as reinforcement. Lastly, ice freezes over him for extra measure. Utari yells, "Hit him with everything you've got!.." Kiyotoshi quickly executes 3 hand signs but Ouja quickly breaks out of everything bounding him. A bright light appears in Kiyotoshi's hand, [(Suzaku) Thanks everyone. Pleasure doing business with you.]
The entire battlefield gets enveloped in white light, blinding everybody. Tahei had finally arrived to help but was too late, "Hateshi!!!" His voice gets washed out by the hurricane like winds from the attack. He stares at the center of the blast with Issekigan, not believing what he was seeing, "Kou...sha?" For a few seconds he thought he saw his brother in there. No, he knew his brother's presence was behind that attack. Even beyond the grave his brother still managed to help kill people. He could see his face, smiling at what he does best.
Finally, the blast had ended. The entire lake was vaporized, apparently along with Ouja and Kiyotoshi. Tahei scanned the area over but knew, "He's... gone." His eyes watered, trying to resist breaking down. It felt like losing his brother all over again. Hateshi's final battle reminded him of what his father used to tell him, with a little smile he said, "Live as a legend, die as a hero."
(( Wish I could put Sanctuary - Utada Hikaru from Kingdom Hearts as background music. This is the end of Shinobi Shinwa: Blood Saga. Next saga is Heaven vs Earth. ))

((Talk about ending it with a bang . . . ))
Ayame falls to her knees. "Kiyotoshi . . ." Gone. Could he really be gone? She turns her face to the sky, where all of the energy discharge has riled up the weather. Rain begins to fall steadily to the earth, splattering her upturned face.
Mary deftly vanishes the Muteki Shield. {It's over.}
Taking a deep breath, Ayame allows her eyes to slip closed. [Hey, Mary? I know you really only agreed to stay as long as it took to kill Ouja, but do you think . . . well . . .]
The ghost woman chuckles in her mind. {I'll stay as long as you want me, kid. I actually kind of like you, Ayame. You remind me of me at your age.} She laughs again, bringing a smile to Ayame's lips.
"Thank you," the woman whispers softly, opening her eyes and pushing herself to her feet. She aches all over; all she really wants to do now is sleep for an entire day -- maybe a week. Ayame looks back to where Kiyotoshi had last stood, her chest tightening. "Sayonara, friend," she murmurs, bowing low.
{He will remain with you so long as you remember him,} Mary tells the girl gently. {As will all those who have been lost.}
Ayame smiles faintly, nodding. She is grateful now that it is raining, so her tears can blend right in. The young woman turns and starts to stumble toward Tahei. "Then let us never forget . . ."

(( I changed the last part "You gave it your all huh?" to "Live as a legend, die as a hero." which sounds cooler. ))
Tahei stared blankly at the now empty lake, unmoving. Kurosao flashes in while its pouring rain. Nisemono looks around, "He's dead?" Tahei doesn't even answer. Seru scans the area, "Sorry we didn't make it in time..." Tahei shakes his head, "Whatever naka'a." Nisemono tells Tahei, "This is the life of a ninja. Don't go into depression or the clan will destabilize, along with its leader." Tahei looks him in the eyes, "Yes sir." Nisemono takes temporary command over Kurosao, "Disperse. Mission complete." Mitsuke eyes him, "You aren't human are you?" Nisemono repeats himself monotonously, "Mission complete. Return home." Mitsuke looks away, "Haii." Seru grabs the unconscious Utari then they flash, leaving Tahei behind.
Tahei knew the chain of command. If the leader were to fall, the Head of Security takes temporary leadership until properly replaced. He was fighting with himself, trying to keep himself together, [Hateshi wouldn't cry. Hateshi would continue on. This definitely wouldn't be enough to stop him.] He gets up, looking away from Ayame, "I guess I'll see you two later. I'm going to catch up with the others... Bye." He flashes off, losing all feeling, [Yes sir.]

Seeing them start to disperse, Ayame runs forward to catch Nisemono's arm. "What about me?"
Nisemono jerks his arm out of her grasp. "You heard me. Go home."
She scowls. "I can't. I left my village without permission to help you guys, remember?" Her face turns hard. "Knowing my family, they've already written me off as a rogue ninja. I can't go back now."
"Not my problem," Nisemono grunts, turning away and leaving her.
Ayame growls in frustration. "He isn't human, is he?"
{If you hurry,} Mary suggests, {you can catch up with Tahei. I can still sense him.}
Sighing, Ayame flashed away, chasing after Tahei. [I feel like a stray puppy following a kind stranger home.]
Mary chuckles, {Well, he did feed you.}

Tahei notices Ayame chasing after him. He wasn't in the mood to lead anyone or talk to anybody for that matter, but that wasn't going to get in the way of his job. He pauses to let Ayame catch up, [I don't understand why everyone near me is dying. First my dad. Then Kousha. And now Hateshi. I can't stand to lose anymore family members.] Ayame is within sight of him now, [I wonder what she wants...] "Is there a reason you're chasing after me?" He asked with a distant voice, as if he wasn't all there.

Coming even with Tahei, Ayame slows to a halt. His expression -- the tone of his voice -- startles her. After blinking a few times she takes a deep breath. "I -- don't have anywhere else to go, honestly." She looks down. "Nisemono told everyone to go home, but -- I can't -- not after leaving like I did. Because of that, my clan probably thinks I'm the one that killed Maya and not that Shin guy. If I go back . . ." Her voice trails off.
Ayame shakes her head and forces herself to meet his eyes, even though the expression there made her chest tight. "I was wondering if I could stick with you."

Shin lifts a huge boulder off of him and throws it to the side. "So he died for his friends. I wouldnt of done it." Shin laughs and notices that Tahie's nervous system was acting up. Shin quickly flash steps grabing the girl. "You shouldnt talk to him." Shin quickly kage shushins them miles away from the site in the middle of no where smiles at here waving good bye and kage shushins back. "Tahie it will all work out in the end. Just...take a break." Shin smiles scratching the back of his head. Shin turns around and begins to walk away with his uniformed almost destroyed. Shin sighs and has shadows come up and place a new pair of cloths on as he continues on wondering what to do next. Shin sighs and decides to vist both Katashi and his brothers grave sight to pay his respects.

Ayame fumes. Mary chuckles. {Go for it chickadee.}
Through mirror and metal, Ayame returns to the site, rising up in front of Shin. Before he can react -- his mind obviously preoccupied with his clothes -- the young womans hand snaps out and she slaps him. "If you ever touch me again, I'll forget whatever reason Kiyotoshi gave me for not fighting you and do it anyway!" she snarls.
After giving him one last dirty look, she storms back to where he had left Tahei, muttering under her breath to herself.
{Aww,} Mary moans. {I thought you were actually going to do it.}
Ayame sighs inwardly. [Kiyotoshi told me not to. I'm going to honor his words. That doesn't mean I can't threaten the guy, though.]

Mitsuke flashes next to Tahei, "Are these guys bothering you?.." Tahei shakes his head, "I'm fine." Mitsuke turns away then turns back, "Wait I wasn't asking how you were..." Tahei shrugs, "I can read you like an open book." Mitsuke swings his umbrella sword onto his shoulder, "At least he'll become a legend eh? He followed the Ninja Pirate code to the end. Just like your pops!" He smiles looking back at Tahei then vanishes.
Tahei rolls his eyes, "You're not supposed to talk about that. Jeez." He sees Ayame storming towards him, "Listen I'm not in the mood to deal with another student okay?" Mary replies, "Tch, student? We're just looking for a place to stay. Seeing as your apartment has room." Tahei informs her, "You know you can just go back and talk to the Jiosa? Just don't forget to mention Kurosa and what Kiyotoshi's orders were. (Mary) You think I'm freaking stupid? I wasn't originally part of the group. The Jiosa will have us executed if he finds out." Tahei thinks for a moment, "Okay. Fine, you can stay."
His cell phone vibrates so he answers, "Yeah? (Jiosa) Reports say Kiyotoshi was killed in action. Who will be replacing him? (Tahei) I don't know." He hangs up, "Here follow me. You got a train ticket?"
