These rules have been created to make sure there is a natural balance between physical, mental, and spiritual powers. Every mortal, and spirit must follow these commandments when traversing to each others realms of existence.
The only way to enter the spirit world is through meditation only at specific chapels throughout the Guild. Mortals cannot reach the spirit world by physical means. WARNING: Your mortal body is vulnerable while your spirit is in the spirit world which is why each chapel has a set of safety precautions, such as protected solitary confinement, before allowed to enter the spirit world. If your character has died before the creation of this sub forum, the spirit world they will be sent to the void.(Rule 3)
((These precautions exclude the Temple of the Sun where these safety precautions don‘t exist and you are at risk.))
Your spirit is unable to die through means of physical force brought unto by mortals. Elements are also unable to work if you are a spirit. Spirits can technically touch and kill other spirits, but it is forbidden in both worlds, impossible in one.
If your spirit dies while your physical body is in meditation you cannot go to either heaven or hell, but remain in the void for all of eternity, a place where existence is nonexistent, the fine line between Heaven and Hell if you will. If you die as a spirit without any mortal coils, you will sentenced straight to The End Way for judgment.
If your body is destroyed or damaged to a point of death while you are in the spirit world, you remain in the spirit world for all of eternity. Most mortals who die have an out of body experiences before time of death, therefore most people's spirits go to the spirit realm upon death.
The only way you are capable of returning to the mortal world without a body is if you are summoned via necromancy, or if someone willingly sacrifices their body to you. If a body is willingly given to you, you may change their appearance as you please. Also, your previous elements and even weaponry are passed down to the body. (It’s like asking someone if they can add a newborn character to their arsenal in that person’s place.) If you are a person who has given their body away, your spirit shall be sent to the spirit world until you find another mortal willing to sacrifice their body… and the process continues to repeat itself accordingly.
The only way you are able to come into physical contact with the mortal world is through the mortal’s dreams while sleeping and inner thoughts while conscious. A mortal cannot see spirits when conscious, only hear them. However they can hear, see, smell, and touch a spirit while they are unconscious, or dreaming.
If you post in any other sub forum outside the spirit realm while you are a spirit, you must signify that you are there as an invisible spirit through an image of your choice, or by other means such a this.
Spirit’s outside the spirit world have no physical control over anything that goes on in the mortal world. Example: A spirit cannot make a plant die just by touching it. Or: A spirit cannot push a mortal character to their death by physical means. However, a spirit does have some control mentally. For example: A spirit can influence a character to kill himself by speaking into his mind. A Spirit can influence a character to die, but not physically kill them. Or: A spirit can hear other people’s thoughts and can hold entire mental conversations, even though the spirit is not physically present. A spirit cannot control a persons mind like a Jedi Mind trick, only listen and speak into their minds. These powers are limited to those who still have a physical form in the mortal world (Rule 1).
Spirits can see, hear, and speak to other spirits in the mortal world, but cannot touch each other. Only in the spirit world can other spirits touch each other. (Rule 2)
The physical limitations of the mortal world do not apply to spirits. Gravity does not apply to spirits, they are able to float in the air and as high as they want. Breathing is no longer a necessary part of being a spirit, but can be used anyways. Spirits can phase through physical object and people at will, but is limited. Examples: The Holy City’s Magical Barrier can stop not only mortals from entering, but also spirits. Weapons or elements used against spirits by a mortal will simply phase through them. Only special weapons, unattainable by mortal means, can hurt a spirit, the spirit weapons.
If a spirit or a mortal is killed by a spirit warrior you are sent straight to The End Way to be judged and sentenced to either heaven or hell.
