Just as Zak predicted, Tailz adapted to the attack very quickly. But to Zak's dismay, it still seemed Tailz was acting defensively. Perhaps a little more provocation could coax him into some form of attack. Sharingan? That sounds familiar... I can not quite remember at the moment but it sounds as if he can use it to perform a technique similar to that of which i just performed. In that case I shall continue in this field. Zak placed his hands the same way he had for his previous attack and would do the same basic move. The big difference this time would be the sound Tailz heard. Zak could send more than just a noise into a person's mind, he could also send voices. This time his attack would also continue until Zak himself stopped feeding it to Tailz or was interrupted. Zak began his attack, the sound that of the screams of dying people. To a monster it would be music, to a sane man it would be torture. How great to see which Tailz truly was.

Midori raised a slight eyebrow upon hearing that Death had been loosely teaching Yuki. "Now that's intresting, I wonder what Death's shown him so far." She thought.

Of all the people in the village she had fought so far in various duels, Death was easily the strongest. As the only person who had graduated to Jounin at the same time as her he was both a great rival and a great ally.

As Midori turned to leave she caught sight of Tailz activating a Doujutsu ability. "May stay here and collect more data for now then meet me at the training field tommorow if the fight is over by then." she ordered with a slight frown before vanishing in a puff of smoke.

The sound of screaming people errupted in Tailz' ears. They seemed to be dying, and begging for life.

ha ha ha.... the thing inside him cackled.

Tailz recalled a memory from long ago, with his parents. It seemed so real, as if he could reach out and touch the fabric they were wearing. He saw his mother on the ground, begging for her life, as his father was held back by a muscular man. He saw his father being impaled repeatedly. He could recall and hear the screams of pain sharply. He could feel the tears down his eyes, and turned to see his mother laying on the ground, lifeless, as a pool of blood collecting around her. He ran, as fast as he could, and the memory started to fade.

Tailz' eyes filled with rage. they turned a bloodshot red, and the iris and pupil looking as that of a cat. He could hear the cackling inside him, and wished it to just shut up.

whats the matter, Tailz? You afraid? I can give you strength. I can lend you my power. Kill him..... the voice said, over the screams. It faded out, becoming a backround noise to the screams.

Tailz attempted to calm down. His eyes returned to the normal two tomoe, upgrading to a three tomoe Sharingan. if he can send things to me, maybe I can in return.... Tailz thought. It was worth a shot.

Tailz attempted to copy Zak's jutsu, except with a greater amount of screams and the sound of ripping flesh and trickling blood. He sent a force of the sound straight at Zak, implanting it into his head.

Pleased with the initial result, Zak smiled when he saw Tailz's reaction to the technique. He had successfully provoked Tailz as well as whatever seemed to be inside him. Tailz was not the monster, he was just the cage holding back the beast. Perhaps a little more prodding would prove helpful.

Truthfully, Zak was impressed that Tailz was able to calm down so quickly. He was even more impressed as the sounds of death filled his mental ear, only more violent this time. Tailz had been able to copy and increase the technique used on him, a strong ability. Zak had a short reminisce with the various deaths of friends and enemies but was able to block out the noise relatively quick. Psychic abilities were his forte and he wasn't about to let a copy-cat beat him. Zak used the technique on himself, but using various other sounds, from drums to music to laughter. He then cleared his mind and was ready once again.

"I am impressed by your abilities, I had not realized you could mimic so well. I wonder what your limits are...." If Tailz was able to copy everything Zak did, Tailz would surely prevail. Zak would have to figure out a way to keep ahead of him, or perhaps some form of trap. There seemed to be something different about Tailz's eyes, maybe that was the solution. If Tailz was not able to see Zak, maybe he would not be able to mimic him either.

Zak held his arms out to the sides, hands open. His metal shapes began to float just above the ground and as he swung his arms forward they all launched towards Tailz. This, of course, was not Zak's attack, that would be too simple. Zak didn't even plan to attack until his next turn/opportunity. What he planned to do now was hide... right in front of his enemy.

Behind the cloud of silver (describing the color not the material) Zak had to perform a few hand signs to get this old technique of his to work. It was a deviation of the classic clairvoyance act but on a hugely higher level. Zak was not only going to hack into Tailz's vision via his mind, but he would edit what his eyes were interpreting. With this, Zak would be invisible to only Tailz.

Zak sent his technique straight at Tailz, it would reach him long before the metal projectiles and be much less noticeable. To convince Tailz that Zak had merely decided to hide with the classic "in the bushes" routine he sent a quick wave of energy at some nearby shrubs, rattling their leaves to make it seem he had jumped in and was trying to get away.

Tailz started to chuckle. Zak seemed to be unfamiliar with the Sharingan. Not only could it see movement quickly, but it could see chakra as well.

Tailz laughed, and flicked his hand. ((so it seemed)) A clone copied Zak's movement from behind him. He pushed the attack from in front of the "real" Tailz, seeming to come as if Tailz never moved. The clone minimized it's energy use, to try to conceal itself, making it undetectable, unless Zak would look directly up and behind him. The copied attack went right at Zak.

Tailz made five more clones, and they each held a kunai. They threw the kunais in a pattern around Zak, and quickly disappeared. Tailz concentrated his chakra. A star patteren scorched across the ground, and a circle went around the inside. Tailz smiled to himself, thinking of how easy this would be.

Zak seemed to be thinking less of Tailz, so he thought, his attacks becoming weaker. His plan worked. Tailz made the appearance of the holder of a demon, not one himself.

((My thousand apologies, please forgive me.))

It was true, Zak was completely unaware of the abilities of the Sharingan. He had not realized it allowed the user to view the energies of their foes. This would cause everything to become more difficult for Zak as all his moves were based upon pure chakra control. Basically, the only difference was that the energy he gave out was infused with part of his psyche, almost giving his attacks a mind of their own. Perhaps this advantage was the only one Zak had. This and what Tailz did not know of him.

One thing Tailz did not realize was the extent of what Zak's third-eye could see. To pull off most of the complex telekinetic moves Zak performed it was required that he could see around and through other objects. Tailz was not tricking him, Zak could plainly see the clone behind his true body. Was Tailz really trying to pretend he could master Zak's moves in mere seconds? Well, Zak would not be tricked that easily.

The scorched star on the ground around Zak was puzzling. The kunai seemed to be necessary to draw the pattern but it was unsure how important they were. Zak decided to send a small shock wave along the ground to loose them from their homes. If they had not been sealed into the ground, they would be easy enough to remove.

As for the return fire of Zak's metallic pieces, Zak would use them along with his single advantage to hopefully take back the upper hand. Zak lifted his hand and the shapes stopped in mid-flight. At the same time, his back pack opened and several more metal shapes floated out. Many of them were more regular and larger shapes. Some were so large that there was no physically possible way for them to fit in such a small bag as Zak's, but that was an entirely different story.

As the new objects emerged, they mixed in with the older ones and rearranged. When they all stopped they appeared to be in the form of a giant wolf. Zak was almost the height of one of the inanimate creatures legs, but this was not all that much since Zak himself was very short. Either way, this beast was massive. Zak poured his energy into the creature and it seemed to come to life.

The wolf moved and learned how his body worked. The strangest part of the structure was that there were no joints or muscles holding the individual parts together, Zak's energy did that part. "Sick 'em boy!" The wolf gazed at Tailz (or at least it would have been if it had eyes) and opened his mouth. It lacked vocal chords but a couple pieces of metal in the throat vibrated against each other and let out a loud and rather annoying roar.

Then the wolf half sprinted, half levitated straight for Tailz. The creature did not seem to require the ground to run either. If it so wanted the wolf could most likely remain it the air for its entire sprint, but that wasted valuable energy and was not nearly as cool looking. As it closed in on Tailz, various pieces of metal from the legs traveled into the paws and about doubled the wolf's number of claws. It pounced, claws out and jaw open.

((so sorry, I was away for a while, summer school and such sweatdrop ))

Tailz was amazed at how powerful Zak's energy could be. He watched closely with every move he made, however, he moved little. Tailz frowned with disappointment, but smiled as the wolf came barreling at him. He made three hand signs, and his hands glowed red with massively focused energy. As the wolf drew near, they began to pulsate between a dark and bright red. As the wolf lunged, he leaped forward, and flattened his palm. it smacked against the "face" of the wolf, and he twisted it against the sharp pieces of metal. he flipped back and kicked at the wolf, sending a wave of focused energy at it. Tailz took advantage of every free second he had, and slammed his hands down on the ground. The kunais that were placed began to tremble, then sink further into the ground, and held down by the roots of trees and chunks of boulders beneath the earth.

When Tailz struck Zak's metal beast, the core of the creature (it's head and torso) was blown away. The legs and tail remained more-or-less together, but also flew backwards. Zak had predicted this to happen, he had planned it before he had even decided what to make the creature look like. Zak smirked, "Bad move!"

Zak turned sideways, his right shoulder facing Tailz. Zak lifted his right hand and instantly created a guiding barrier for the oncoming projectiles which were once the body of his beast. The barrier would not deflect any of them, just tilt their trajectory so none would strike him. They rained about his body, in the area of the scorched star. This gave him an idea that he would have to try after he completed his original plan.

At nearly the same time, Zak snapped with his left hand, sending... instructions to the mostly together legs and tail. Each mass frozen in air and began rearranging. Five metal ravens were formed, one from each remaining mass. They sped after Tailz without delay, each flying it's own, unpredictable pattern. Their goal was too impale him, and they had no fear because they weren't even alive.

Zak would now try the idea Tailz accidentally gave him. Raising both arms, Zak pulled the metal shards from the ground. He spun his hands once and then flicked them towards the ground. The pieces began spinning and repeatedly flew into the ground. Zak was attempting to dig up the star Tailz had formed around him, and in the best situation, remove the kunai.
